“Jesus, fuck, what the hell…” Gavin muttered to himself, one arm gripped around the drain pipe and the other reaching for the roof. After hanging out with Kyle and having one too many beers, in his drunken state of mind, he thought that 2:07 am was a fantastic time to go talk to Madison. The idea didn’t seem so brilliant at that moment, hanging partially midair while attempting to scale Tessa’s house and not concern any neighbors into calling the cops. Was it stupid? Yes. Could he possibly fall to his death, or to a fate of being wheelchair bound for life, which could be fun for popping wheelies, but no so fun for his mother, who would probably never let him out of the house again? Of course. Fuck, just breathe, idiot, you’re halfway there so you might as well just keep going. The fact that the alcohol content in his body was a smidgen higher than the water content took over his train of thought, quickly shaking his head and continuing to climbing up. Clumsily, but somehow successfully, he made it onto the slanted roof, crawling and shifting against the shingles until he found his way to the window with a tiny nightlight. He knew that Tessa was usually asleep at his time, and even if he did catch her, they were best friends, so she’d understand, or at least that’s what he told himself in his current mindset. Once he was sitting up close enough to the window that his breath fogged up the glass, he gave a little knock, or tried to, anyways. He ended up sort of banging against the glass with his palm and drawing a little smiley face in the foggy area. He wore a giant, stupid grin once Madison opened the window, leaning back and trying to look somewhat cool, giggling to himself as he did so. “Hello ma’am, do you have a moment to discuss our Lord and savior, or should I try Tessa’s window?”
