Orange Side Theory
I used to think Orange was ignorance bc of Logan shouting to Remus ‘stop ignoring me’ and flashing orange eyes and then I thought of how everyone kinda ignored Logan and thought it was ignorance because also it wasn’t ’doing it’s duties’ as a side even a dark side
But then I thought it was stupid so i did some research
Rather than Orange simply representing Wrath or Anger, I think Orange is the true opposite of Logan by representing Irrationality. Logan embodies logic, reason, objectivity, and consistent thinking, whereas Orange embodies distorted reasoning, bias, emotional reasoning, rationalization, and hypocrisy. Orange doesn’t necessarily ignore logic altogether—he twists it to justify conclusions that were reached irrationally in the first place. This also explains why Orange appears to target Logan more than the other Sides: Logan’s entire purpose is to seek truth through reason, while Orange undermines reason itself.
Like how Roman and Remus represent different expressions of creativity—Roman portraying its healthy, constructive side and Remus portraying its chaotic and destructive side—Logan and Orange could represent opposing expressions of reasoning. Logan’s rationality naturally leads to fairness, consistency, and justice, while Orange’s irrationality naturally results in corrupted justice: biased judgments, double standards, hypocrisy, and decisions that feel justified despite being objectively unfair. In this theory, Bad Justice isn’t Orange’s core identity but rather the way his irrationality manifests. That also distinguishes him from Janus, whose focus is deception and self-preservation. Orange wouldn’t be about lying or protecting oneself; he’d be about genuinely believing distorted reasoning and using it to justify unfair actions, making him Logan’s perfect foil both intellectually and morally.
For Orange’s symbol if we’re going for it representing Irrationality and portraying Corrupted (bad) Justice then I’m thinking like an eye
Smth like this ^
This can represent a blindfold as an eye that shows Irrationality
Following on from my recent Orange side theory
patton and logan r 2 diff shades of blue but as a whole: blue. in the colour theory blue is mainley opposite to orange, specifically light blue which is patton. Patton could be related to Orange as in the episode where it has the family tree with roman etc there was patton and a branch leading off screen, now that could be orange. but that doesnt neccissarily mean orange and patton r twins like roman and remus. roman & remus were only twins (opposite) bc they were 2 aspects of creativity leading them to seperate into 2 sides.
what i think is patton could be only brothers with Orange
but what abt logan? why did i bring him up? well i was analysing each side and they all had at least 1 opposing and 1 complimenting side - now this isnt truly canon but this can be used as a base - a theory
Roman is opposite to Remus and compliments Patton
Remus opposite Roman and compliments Janus
Patton is opposite to Janus and compliments Roman
Janus opposite Patton and compliments Remus
Virgil is in the middle so theres no definite primary opposite, but complimenting Logan
Logan compliments Virgil but there rules out no other primary opposite. so who would that be? orange.
Logan is logic, rationality, reason and control
what's opposite that?
illogicality, irrationality/rationalization, bias, prejudice (in a cognitive sense) and impulse.
Orange could very well be that. and also that is similar to what orange symbolizes in a negative way in the colour wheel.
as for logan being mainley affected by orange, i think orange 'lives inside' logan. so maybe orange and logan need to be split apart like roman and remus to have 2 sides of logic: rationality vs irrationality, control vs impulse, reason vs bias
early on logan was js fine, that is until it grew on the series he became more fustrated at not being listened to it was unfair - who is technically unfairness? (at least in this theory) orange.
either orange and logan need to be split apart or orange is feeding off of logan because he's finding an easy target off of logan he can use his power to given logan's situation.
and so i think orange is irrationality or/and impulse that can drive anger down the path of it
