Foundation Art Diploma final piece. A project about capitalism and money being a social construct. Exhibition space consists of laser cut $100 dollar bills, screenprint $100 bills, plaster cast gold leafed pound coins, an led wire sign and hand written theorists quotes on bank notes.
Jim Parkin from Aardman came in to do a workshop with us at Strode College. He talked to us about sculpture and animation then gave us a tutorial on how to make Shaun the sheep, after we made our own.
Roman emperor sculpture I made as part of a Sculpture workshop at Strode Foundation. It it made from clay and we will be making a latex mould which will later help make a plaster cast.
Teapot I made from scratch as part of my ceramics workshop at Strode College. It was the first kind of sculpting I’ve really ever done so it was a challenge but I was really happy with the result. The paint work is slightly patchy but this was hard to avoid as it only showed after it had been biscuit fired.

A white card set I created as part of my set design workshop at Strode College. This set was based on one of the scenes from Corpse Bride by Tim Burton. The scale of the model is 1:50. I made this with foam board and white card and drew all the details on by hand with fine liners.
These images were taken as part of my photography workshop on my Foundation course at Strode College. I had to take a series of photos that would then be joined together in photoshop creating a Hockney inspired joiner. I experimented with having my model move and changing the opacity to create the shadowing effect on the second one to add a sense of movement to the photo.
Life drawing lesson 10 at Strode College. I’m really finding myself improving and adding more and more detail to every drawing.
Been drawing Christmas cards today
School diary design I created in Graphics as part of my Foundation art Diploma at Strode college. The two centre pieces are drawings by me that I scanned in and added to the piece. The front cover has a typographic drawing of Darwin written with all of the courses offered by the college, the back cover has an architectural drawing of the college I made then added the shading in Adobe Photoshop. The whole piece was assembled using Adobe Illustrator.

Shoe design project for Clarks village. I started by drawing my idea, I then digitally traced it using Adobe Illustrator, I could then edit it by adding colour and texture to see how it would look. Lastly, using my images for reference I created a shoe hybrid in Adobe Photoshop by taking elements of existing shoes, editing them and fitting them together to create what my shoe will look like.
Created by Georgia Macmenemey, Art Foundation Diploma at Strode College.
Halloween skeleton face paint look I created using paint and eyeshadow.
Watercolour self portrait painting I created as a part of my Foundation Art Diploma at Strode College. I used carbon paper and traced over my image to give me an accurate outline of my face to then fill in with colour.
‘Dead Mermaid’ Make up look I created at college for halloween, complete with fish hook. I made this look using moulding wax, face paint and a fish hook made from a bent metal rod.
Life drawing lesson 5 at Strode College. We worked with the model on different levels of elevation in order to practise foreshortening. This was created with a HB pencil on A1 paper.

An animation I created as part of my Foundation Art Diploma at Strode college. This is composed of 18 hand-drawn koi fish illustrations played on a loop. I also added bubbling water sounds and oriental music in After Effects.
My A Level Art final piece. The project title I chose was letters and words and I based my project on the Zika baby crisis in Brazil. ‘My Eternal Baby’ was a quote I got from one of the mothers speaking about her microcephalic child on a panorama documentary. The piece was created on a board of wood which i then painted and scuffed using sand paper. I then wrote the letters in pencil a hammered in pins along the lines. Lastly I used white sewing thread and wrapped it systematically around my pins to create this dense web effect.
