When Stratt walks into Grace's classroom, his/our very first view of her is framed across the top by the all-the-flags-of-the-world banner strung up along the classroom ceiling. The filmmakers tell us who/what she represents from jump. And I really like that the flags are hanging over her head - it's symbolic of the burden, the responsibility, the duty of care that she carries. She is not, cannot be free to feel/do as she personally might wish. The world is counting on her. (I also like that it shows Grace looking up to her - not just for the power dynamic, but also because he genuinely does come very quickly to think she's amazing).
