Hello hello hello I just watched the Pitt and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts
Picture this: 2 borrowers living in the hospital. Why they are... I don't know. Maybe there's a colony? Idk but it's not a great place to live especially if ur like 4 inches tall LOL
The scenario that I've been cooking up is Borrower A gets sick and B, terrified for their friend/comrade/lover/family member/whatever u want them to be, goes out and gets medicine for them. Only problem is... not only are they not great at reading, but they don't know what does what.
Enter the PTMC ER staff. And go from there!
Guys I take it back BTW Langdon would ABSOLUTELY have a soft spot for a borrower are you kidding me. That big nerd would be head over heels for whatever poor unfortunate little borrower stumbles across his path
I can picture him geeking out over a tiny person -- not in an overbearing science-y way but more like 'Wow you're so cool! You're so small how'd you get so small!' He'd probably be super curious but at the same time really sweet and gentle with them and just wants to make them feel safe. Anyways yeah he would be a big softie.
That's all byeeeee
The Pitt G/t Fanfic
The long awaited fic is here! (At least the first part is). Please be nice about my writing work, as it is my very first fanfic and I copied/pasted from my Google notes...(Hopefully the formatting isn't the worst. This is for you @m4st4rd! It really helped with my motivation to know that someone was looking forward to the fic. I'll make sure to keep the parts coming!
*************************************************
Trinity Santos and Dennis Whittaker are both humans who needed a place to crash as their apartment was being inspected and bug-bombed due to a widespread infestation. Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinovich and his Fellow Giant and Husband Dr. Jack Abbott volunteered to house them which can roughly translate into the fact that they couldnt possibly let their precious little med students go to some awful hotel when they could be safe and warm where Jack and Robby can see and protect (as well as dote on) both of them.
"Thank you again, for letting us stay here, Dr. robby. We really appreciate it. I'm really- we're really grateful for it." Spoke Trinity, gesturing between herself and Dennis.
Dr. Robby almost couldn't help to contain his grin. Almost. He needed to keep it together and save face in front of the adorable- *cough cough* entirely professional and respectable- med students.
"Yeah- of course, of course, any time. You guys are totally welcome here, Jack and I are happy to have you. And please- we're off shift, call me Robby. Or Michael if I'm in trouble" Chuckled, Robby.
In truth, they were more than happy to house Trinity and her little "huckleberry" Dennis. Delighted, exillerated, and so damn nervous. See- the thing about Giants is that they are seriously overprotective and possessive. They will often find 'their' people and attach themselves like glue to the little ones. From the moment the married couple saw the 2 human med students, Jack and Robby knew who the humans belonged to, but didn't want to scare them off by coming on too strong or controlling. In a sense- the 2 attendings couldnt control the fact that their biology and emotional sides latched on to the med students. So, with a strong urge to keep them close and protected at all times, Robby and Jack practically jumped at the chance to keep the 2 around.
- If only forever - thought Robby to himself.
"Yeah, of course- Robby. We're off the clock; no 'Dr.' . Trin is right though- we're really grateful. And it'll only be for a bit, the exterminators are supposed to be speedy with killing bugs. And speaking of bugs!! Our bags are clean- they were chemically treated with this stuff the guy who was talking to our landlord said wasn't harmful to anything but roaches and lice, so- we're good." Dennis, piped up, doing something he was very good at; tripping over himself with words to explain everything he could in a given situation to try and ease the tension.
While Trinity was busy side eyeing Dennis, Robby visibly grinned. "Wonderful- love to be bug free." He clapped his hands once and rubbed them together before gently laying his right hand palm up before the smaller two. "Why don't you come with me and I can show you to the rooms me and Jack prepared for you, huh?" Asked Dr. Robby, smiling down gently at Santos and Whittaker.
"You prepared rooms for us?" Questioned Trinity, staring up at Robby.
"Yes, we did. Is that a problem?" Robby responded, looking more confused than the two humans.
"What- no, no- it's just- that's *really* nice of you guys and we were totally expecting to spend our time here in a shoe box, ya'know?" Dennis clarified, shrugging and looking up at Robby.
"Yeah, it's not bad- just pretty unexpected and definitely appreciated." Trinity added, making quick eye contact with Robby and ringing her hands. She's not good with giant men. She wouldn't have even thought about staying here but Dennis advocated for the Giants and he needed and deserved somewhere safe to stay. She'd seen Robby and Jack at work- The Pitt exposes who you really are as a person and the two men were still people she looked up to... All she needed to do was not fuck it up and get her and Dennis out of the streets, she thought.
Robby was clearly saddened. A shoe box? The two little ones he loved so much expected to be put in a fucking shoe box? He would never do that to them- not he or Jack! It sounded outrageous and angered him to think that they had previously been treated in a manner that made them think that would happen here. They were safe in He and Jack's home, they would make sure of it.
"I assure you- there will be no shoe boxes making any guest appearances. Jack and I tried to recall everything we knew about the both of you in an attempt to personalize both of your rooms. Do you want to see them?"
Robby watched with his hand still extended as Trinity and Dennis both exchanged glances- going from unsure to decently excited about their rooms. Dennis, knowing Trinity is unfond of being picked up- especially held in a closed grasp, led the way, extending his arm out and gesturing for her to follow him. Trinity paused, looking between the two men. After a few seconds, she took a deep breathe and walked towards Dennis, hands shaking as she grabbed Dennis's extended hand and stepped onto the soft padding of Robby's finger tips and settled uncomfortably in the middle of his palm, trying not to crowd her huckleberry while she tried to stay close to the person who was on her scale.
Robby watched as Trinity awkwardly clammered on to his hand, only moving once he was sure she was comfortable enough for him to do so. He kept his eye on them as he moved towards their rooms. Robby took them from their previous place on the table, through the kitchen, and into the hallway where he grabbed onto the side table in the hall so he could steadily kneel without moving the little ones too much.
Robby lowered his massive yet steady hands for the humans so they could walk off and head for the 2 small doors, that, in Robby's opinion, reminded him quite a lot of those typical mouse holes one would see in a cartoon like "Tom and Jerry". Thinking about Tom and Jerry made Robby think of his husband, as Jack was out grocery shopping (Including buying some comfort foods for the humans like their favorite Ben and Jerry's ice cream) and would be back soon with bags of stuff for Robby to help carry in from the truck. Robby watched as Dennis and Trinity opened their doors and walked into their rooms, hearing Whitaker remarking positivley on a few things in his room. While he was busy feeling a blanket on his bed, Trinity came out and slumped awkwardly against the doorframe. Robby's brow creased. Did she not like any of it? Was the room not good enough?
"Is something the matter?" Robby asked.
"Thank you..." Trinity spoke softly.
Before Robby could begin- Trinity continued.
"Thank you for the room- I mean. And also everything else, too. Like not being a Dickhead to us, and agreeing to let us stay, especially somewhere that didn't use to be home to your work boots." Trinity didn't meet Robby's eyes, just awkwardly fiddled with the rings and bracelets on her, avoiding eye contact entirely.
Robby let out a sigh of relief, grateful that he and his huband were able to accomodate and gain the approval of both humans. He smiled, happy to hear her.
"Of course. I'm very glad you like your room. I'll be sure to tell Jack that-"
Robby paused as there was a deep knock on the door, as though someone (With his arms full of bags because he believes that too many trips are for the weak) was kicking it to get the inner residents of the home's attention. He could hear his phone from his back pocket go off with the delayed Life360 sounds, telling him the love of his life had returned home safely. With that, Robby focused his attention back onto the humans.
"Speaking of- He's home. You guys just stay put in your rooms. Alright? Think you can do that for me?" Robby requested, smling gently and cocking his head the side slightly.
"Yeah, of course! Just let us know when we're needed, right Trin?" Added Dennis, who had come out of his room when he heard the banging on the door, looking Santos's way.
"Huh? Oh.. Yeah, totally. We'll be here. Go get your groceries, Robby." Confirmed Trinity, shrugging and giving air guns while she slinked back into her room.
"Great! Love to hear it. I'll come get you guys when we're done, okay? Just gotta stay put tso you don't get stepped on." With that, Robby rung his hands once more and used his left hand again to grab onto the table beside him, except this time to lift himself up. He quickly met is patient husband at the door, letting him in and taking the heaver of the groceries out of his hands first.
**************************
Dennis waved to Trinity, as they were just a few feet away from one another, and returned to his room to keep looking around and admiring the thoughtful accomatations. Trinity waved back, standing before her open door before finally grinning to herself and quickly heading back inside her room. Dennis, from across the wall that seperated their rooms, could hear her giggling to herself, remarking on how cool the stuff in her room is just like he had done.
Robby got just what he wanted; the little ones tucked safely away in their rooms while he and Jack brought in the bags, as nobody wanted them to be finely aquainted with the bottom side of either 2 giants' boots. He figured It would give them time to adjust to their rooms anyway- relax a bit before Robby acted on his idea of inviting them into the living room with he and Jack, a part of their usual ruitine that helps get Abbot off his prosthetic and Robinovich away from whatever task he's decided to take up at the time.
Robby met his husband at the door, letting him in and setting the grocery bags down on the floor before bring his hands up to Jack's face and greeting him with a kiss.
"Oh? And what did I do to deserve that?" Jack smiled.
"What? I can't kiss my husband when he comes back to our home?" Robby teased, grinning.
"Oh you can do whatever you want if you keep that up~" Jack teased back, gently knocking his head to Robby's as they headed for the kitchen.
As they passed, Jack looked down towards the 2 small rooms, noting that the lights were on inside. Once done with putting the bags on the counter, Jack turned to his husband.
"They're Here?" He spoke softly.
Robby turned to him "Yeah. They got here an hour and a half ago. I showed them to their rooms and told them I'd come back once we're done putting all this away."
Jack's face split into a smile.
"Did they like their rooms? Did they seem comfortable here? Did they say if they needed anything? Deodorant? Toothpaste? Did they remember their medicine?" Jack rattled off questions, trying to make sure everything was alright with them.
Robby laughed to himself. He always loved how considerate his husband was.
"Uh.. Dennis likes his.. I'm pretty sure I saw Trinity smile to herself going back in when I came to you. They didnt say anything about needing things. I'd imagine their meds are in their bags."
Robby paused before chuckling to himself once more.
"What's so funny?" Asked Jack.
"Santos is warming up to being here. I can tell."
"Yeah? What makes you think that?"
"She came out and said thanks for the room, not being a dickhead, and for letting her stay here in somewhere that wasn't a shoebox." Robby's smile faltered. "I think you were eight about what you said when we were one shift. Regarding her passed experiences with Giants, I mean. She's clearly had it rough." He concluded.
Jack smiled hearing Robby recount the past hours since the humans got here. When his husband confirmed what he had said previously when working in the ER together, Jack sighed. Both Giants had seen her do everything short of pass out again when a doctor from phsyche had been what she woke up to after fainting from exhaustion. The whole ER floor could hear her.
"Fuck... I figured. Something you don't wanna be right about, you know?" Jack gently pressed the side of his head to his husband's again as they finished putting all of the groceries away. "My leg's been hurting all afternoon. I'll meet you at the couch. Feel free to invite them." Jack disappeared from the room, allowing Robby to leave the kitchen as well.
STOP I'm in love. This is too cute

society if women were seen as people
This is Israel putting its genocidal concept of "shrinking civilians" to work, where Israel shrinks what it means to be a civilian by declaring everyone in Gaza to be a combatant, mainly because of their approximity to Hamas, by creating scenarios like this.
They are s till acting like israel gives a shit about hostages huh? if i see another fucking cunt calling western news media reliable again i'm gonna lost it
Yes, this is terrifying, and further, I must note that this is also what the USA originated in the Philippines during the Philippine–American War. For the first time in modern human warfare, the USA tried out "a zone of concentration" on the indigenous people of the Philippines by putting people in concentration camps and declaring any Pilipino merely existing outside of the the camps as combatants. This gave them a justification for the US military to slaughter anyone that didn't go willingly into the concentration camps. Israel, the genocidal colonial state, learned from the best genocidal colonial state in the world: the United States of America.

a/n: my first contribution for @gtgotcha4gaza !! the prompt from @biggnansmol was "Discovery," so i decided to write something about an unnamed thief meeting an unnamed thief :)
warnings: implied mistreatment
It was something about “incriminating documents,” which was always the case for him, not that he minded it. As he carefully undid the window lock and stepped inside, he couldn’t help but wish for the next assignment to be a little bit more exciting.
His client was some politician — they all were — who wanted dirt on his opponent — they all did — and he was getting paid top dollar for a simple breaking-and-entering. He had mapped out the apartment in his head, and his planning from the day before had landed him in the office, right where he needed to be.
