"Vanessa? How are you so happy on a Monday?"

"Marissa! That’s a great idea. How come I’ve never thought of that before? You’re a genius.” She said with pure excitement. Sam loves it, the thrill of sneaking around, and she was more than happy to go with Marissa’s plan. “Let’s just hope we don’t get caught.” She crossed her fingers, and flashed a mischievous grin.

"Ooh, thank you! And don't worry, we won't! With our powers combined, we're an unstoppable force of geeky madness!"

Thank you. I take it as a compliment.

"You're welcome! So how's life for ya?"

"I mean… I guess I can settle with that. So every other day, right?”

"How about... at least once a week, okay? How does that sound?"

"Wear it every single second of everyday and cherish it forever."

"That'd wear it out, but I'll try my best to wear it as often as I can."

"True. Next thing you know it, you’ve already graduated."

"That's a pretty scary thought. I don't think I'm ready to be a full-on adult yet... are you?"

"Here, take a tacky Central Park shirt. I said I had gifts, I never said they were good ones."

"Are you kidding me? I love it! Thanks, Ethan."

"Yeah, I think I will. We’ve just been spending a lot of time together, though I doubt she returns my interest."

She picked up her spoon and started to play with her food, running out of things to talk about. "You have? Callum you're growing up so fast. Don't worry about it, I'm sure things will work out just fine for you two, even if it means you two not ending up together or anything."

"That shade is all kinds of wrong for you."

"Oh, wow. You're right... thanks."

"It’s not that I’m not ready, I think I am. I’m eighteen now, this is stuff I’m supposed to do, but what if I scare her away? What if she doesn’t like me? She’s special, Marissa. I don’t know why, but she is."

"Take all the time you need with her, since she's that special."

"Yeah.. funny."

"Oh wow, this must be pretty serious. I'm sorry, do you want to talk about it? What's... troubling you?"

"I don’t even know what I’m doing or what I should say or if I should say anything to begin with. It’s just - how’s your mac and cheese? Is it okay?”

"It's wonderful. If you're not ready to say something, then don't."

"It doesn’t matter, Marissa."

"Hey... you have your quirks and perks too. What's wrong with being you? You're pretty talented. Smart too. And your heart's in the right place."

"Alright. Be careful, okay? I’m sure you’ll be super good at skateboarding in no time!"
