Marc and Celine were happily married. They were deeply in love. Marc was an inspiring Actor with a lot of roles while Celine was seer who stayed at home lot. Celine knew the manor had an entity inside of it; she had known since they were growing up together but it never did anything and was just kind of there. Celine had told Marc she didn't like the manor and wanted to move (it was too big for the two of them and their butler and chef) but Marc waved it off because it was his childhood home and he wanted to raise their children in the house.
They were married for years, both were happy.
Until they had a miscarriage.
Both were devastated; Marc buried the miscarriage in the backyard in the flower bed (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT). Marc buried himself into his acting as Celine wanted her husband's support. They were like this for a while as the Manor shifted slightly, something was brewing under the surface, something evil. During this time Marc was losing motivation with being himself. He promised Celine a chicken coop during this time and it sits in the garage unmade.
Celine reaches out to William, who stays with them when he comes back from adventuring and asks him for help to get out of the house (She didn't wish to drag her Twin brother Damien into it because he was busy). A little after she leaves the house and starts paperwork for hers and Marc's divorce she finds out she's pregnant again. William is the only one other than Celine to know about this child. She has her son, Yancy, and places him for adoption.
During this time Marc is breaking down, and the entity in the house takes advantage of it. Promising him that it can bring her back, bring all of them back. Marc doesn't trust the entity but just wanting his Wife back he allows it to do whatever. It gets aggressive and changes Marc's actions and possesses him, which in retaliation Marc tries to kill himself multiple times, each time the entity laughs at him and brings him back from death. Marc is trapped within his own body and mind, and cannot break free.
The manor Entity, possessing marc's broken body, invites William, Abe, Damien, and Sam (Not the DA, but Damien's Friend - See Below of Sam Morningstar) over to the manor. Sam had other engagements he had to be at, which is why he doesn't come.
WKM goes mostly as normal; the entity dropped Marc's dead body onto the floor for the others to find. Marc is still trapped within his own dead body as the entity shows him what he's done. Of course the blame game starts as Abe starts pointing the blame at the others. Damien plays the mediator being all of them until Celine shows up.
Celine came back to the manor because she had a horrible sinking feeling. The manor hides Marc's body from HER. As Abe and the others head out to talk to the grounds keeper the entity traps Celine and Damien, shaking them from their bodies. It throws Marc's soul out of the broken body; deeming him not worthy to take and leaving him to haunt the ground, trapping Celine and Damien in the Void and taking Damien's body.
Marc is in the house and sees the final events of WKM, Celine, using marc's body she was controlling from the void, gets shot by William and takes the tumble. Damien and Celine feel the energy shift in the void and in a panic Damien summons a Demonling a gift from Sam

The entity, with Damien's body escapes towards the backyard while the body in the foyer (Now Darkiplier) gets up. Dark stares at the mirror, seeing marc's ghost standing nearby before he stalks off to go hunt Damien's body finding them in the backyard. William never sees Damien's body.
Sam Morningstar is the Devil/fallen angel. Damien is his first human in a long list of humans - Sam is part of the extended universe and I could deep dive into him if someone is interested. Sam was invited to the party because the Entity wanted the Angel's attention. Marc was a stepping stone to Damien, Damien was the golden ticket, it didn't want Damien's body, it wanted to be Damien. Marc was just who cvould allow it in.
Sam shows up to the manor as he had not heard from Damien and Sam finds the aftermath of WKM. Sam, finding the demonling he was going to gift Damien already possessing a body and
Damien, standing without the cane he needs to have to walk. Sam deals with the entity destroying it, but can't do anything about Darkiplier, that would require killing the tiny demon. So Sam leaves him be, and takes Marc's soul to be judged.

Eden being a sort of death cult, or at the very least a culture that idolises death was actually a really neat addition to the whole thing and I don't think Simon's "I just want to live. Is that so wrong? Why doesn't anyone else want that." would have stuck with me so much without that context.

I am thinking about Tenna Deltarune alot and it could also be Monarch Au Tenna but just Tenna headcanons I see.
I think because Tenna does have a VCR to him i think the dreamurrs own alot of VHSs specifically I think they would own alot of disney movies.
Now my Original thought was that Kris would watch one movie on repeat, and almost accidentally broke the VHS - My first movie of Disney was Brother Bear but then I got to thinking. Home on the range would also be a good choice for Kris.

He’s desperate and lonely. He believes everyone has abandoned him, and maybe they have. He believed a voice on the phone was helping him, but it was using him. It abandoned him, leaving him for dead.
But he won't let go. He’ll forcefully take all that he deserves, all that he lost and more. and once he’s at the very top, where he belongs, he’ll show them all. They’ll see. They’ll all pay.
me: “Yeah he’s cool, I see why people are losing their mind about him. But he doesn't activate brainworms for me, I still like him tho.”

2025 (chapter 3 release):
It wasn't greed. It wasn't selfishness. Not fully. It wasn't just something that happened. It wasn't outside of his control. He tried to see too far, not just because he wanted more. He trusted. He loved. He dared to risk what he had for someone else. That was why he was abandoned by the phone.
What he had was not for his partner, but he didn't care. He wanted to reach the heavens while holding his hand. He wanted him to see. It was an act of defiance rooted in love that did him in.
He lost it all because he dared to trust. He dared to love. He hated to feel. Back then, If he just didn't feel, he’d still have it all. Back then, If he didn't care, he’d still have the power, he’d still have the phone.
He hates that he had loved enough to risk himself. He hates that he lost. He hates him, not because he abandoned him, but because If HE just didn't exist, if he didn't love him, if he didn't risk it for someone else, he’d still be on top.

Explanation (become insane with me):
It's about the change from "he had no agency in his own demise" (things went well when he had the voice on the phone, then the voice just disappeared. it was outside of his control)
To "his demise was his own doing, his own choice. Moreover, it was a choice made in a rare moment of selflessness, for someone he genuinely loved" (instead of the voice just disappearing, it left him because he defied its will. He knew or didn't know it was a bad choice to defy God- but he still did it. HE did it. It was his doing.)
It's about character agency!!! Im sure I bring it up a lot when I talk about characters, but stories are so much more meaningful to me when the characters aren't helpless- even if it makes them worst as people, ESPECIALLY SO, it's so much better when their tragedies are their own fault.
And you know what? I would've loved it so much even if there was no love. Even if it was a classic style bare bones Greek mythology story, where the character acts selfishly, being humanly flawed, and gets punished for it. (please don't pelt me with rocks.)
But it was even more. Toby did it again with the thing that breaks me. It was love. Whether you ship them or not (I know it could mean nothing™, idc) Spamton still cared about tenna. It's not even implied, it's outright said. He cared, that was his flaw! That was his mistake!
So often when we get half the story in these games, we take the information way too literally and assume the worse of the characters- (Kris opened a dark fountain? Oh they're possessed by a second entity.) (ralsei hides secrets from us? Oh he's secretly evil.)
Oh Spamton says he hates this "tenna" guy? That's the person who abandoned him and took everything from him. He's the villain of his story.
Nope. Tenna was someone Spamton cared about so much. So much so that he made an incredibly uncharacteristic decision, to risk it all, for him. For someone other than himself.
Spamton hates Tenna because Tenna is a representation of everything he lost, and why he lost it. Feelings are so much easier to hate and blame when they've got a name.
Before chapter 3 (from what we were told) his story lacked agency. Things happened around him, to him. Never BECAUSE of him.
The voice on the phone found HIM. it helped him get big. It decided to disappear, Then everything fell apart. Nothing was his fault and because of him. It was a good narrative and it made sense for him! But it didn't make me eat drywall. Y'know.
And when chapter 3 released... We learned that tenna managed to convince Spamton to sign the deal. He managed to convince him to tell him "his secret". Spamton was about to give him divine knowledge. He DECIDED TO. he MADE THE DECISION to sign the deal. Then the phone rang.
it waited until Spamton really did pick up the pen, and put it to the contract. Until the decision was clear and final. Then, it cut him off.
It was a fully conscious decision. It was his doing. It was his fault. He risked his position of power because he let a person that he cared about tempt him into it. He wouldnt do this for just anybody. He said screw it to everything he got from the voice on the phone, for this guy who made him feel just as special. For the first time in his life he did something for someone else. And that was when he lost it all.
