It’s natural and good to want to make others happy! Sometimes though, that may conflict with your own happiness. There’s a balance between prioritizing others and prioritizing yourself, so make sure you’re not sacrificing too much of your health and happiness for the lives of others.

Lucio:

Calm about it, but very bothered by it. This kinda brings up old trauma for him.

He tries laughing it off to the faces of you and the person you’re paying more attention to.

But he also just kinda starts… hovering. Staying in your space. Involving himself in the conversations between you and this other person. Maybe he’s not even doing it intentionally.

When he’s not acting as though this is all fine and good, there’s a lot of sad staring in your direction.

You probably notice first and ask him about it, and he’s very caught off guard when you do.

Tries to make jokes at first, but sooner or later he just… explains how he feels. He was alone for so long. You’re so beloved, surely, you can just up and leave, wouldn’t even miss him.

Doubts you for a while when you try comforting him. His own creator abandoned him, why wouldn’t you?

Eventually, you get it through his head that you chose him already, you chose to be with him, you enjoy his presence. He doesn’t really have any jokes to make.

Just sorta buries himself in your neck for a while. Good luck pulling your hands out of his, he’s holding them tightly.

“…Thank you for valuing my feelings so highly. I’m happy we’ve found each other.”

Immediately followed by “Say, when should we have our wedding? ^^ How do you feel about summer?”

Lucilius:

‘how does he handle jealousy’ NOT GREAT, MY DUDE.

He’s already not the most polite or patient person, whoever’s been taking your attention, he’ll just be outright rude to.

He’s not the type to just bluntly say “(y/n), I feel jealous.” but it’s still pretty obvious; between all of his glaring and sarcastic comments, it doesn’t take long to figure out.

“Lu, can you help me with–” “Why don’t you ask (crewmember) for help.” ouch.

He just keeps questioning why you’d want someone else? You have him. You have him and he should be enough.

But also you’re one of the few people he views as his equal – in his mind, you could have anyone you wanted. You could have worship. Perhaps you’re… bored of him.

He really isn’t gonna come to you about it, so you’ll have to bring it up yourself if you wanna comfort him – and he’ll deny it once he’s certain again that you’re not leaving him. Don’t be silly, he’d never be so insecure.

“I wasn’t concerned.” He insists, but he’s had you in a death-grip of a hug for about 30 minutes and he doesn’t show any signs of letting go soon.

Lucifer:

Honestly handles it the best out of all of them.

You have every right to be interested in someone that isn’t him. Every right to leave. He respects you, your autonomy, your feelings. He’s not going to scold you or be angry.

…and yet, his feelings are hurt. The idea of you leaving makes him feel alone again. How sad it would be, to lose one of the only people who doesn’t idolize him, who treats him as their equal.

He would confront you about it, but calmly. A simple “You’ve been spending a lot of time with (crewmember) lately. Has something changed between the two of you?”

When you ask him if he’s worried about the state of your relationship / if you’re leaving him, he simply confesses.

Extremely thankful when you set time aside to comfort him and try to reassure him. He takes notice of you intentionally spending more of your time with him.

He insists that you’re free to spend time with whoever you like; he trusts you and isn’t going to lash out at all, but he makes sure you know he appreciates your efforts and affections as well.

…The fears still linger, sometimes. He’s actually pretty scared of you leaving; but luckily, he feels fine to ask you about it. You are a treasure to him.

Sandalphon:

g r u m p y.

A mix of “fine, don’t spend time with me then” and trying to win your attention back.

Feels strangely inadequate, which upsets him – why does he need YOUR approval?

When the object of your recent attentions tries speaking to him, he just just sort of “Hmph.”s at them and walks away.

…How obvious. When you confront him, his face totally turns red, he tells you you’re being silly. Won’t stop denying it.

“Why would I care who you’re spending time with?!”

But when he sees you flinch at his words, he starts to backtrack.

When you explain what you’ve been doing with your other crewmember all this time, he feels completely silly. He hesitantly apologizes for his brutish behaviour in the past few days.

…and his seriousness about it is too cute, so you apologize too.

“…Good. I suppose you won’t mind if I schedule some time for just us to spend together, then?”

He grabs your hand as he asks. The sudden confidence is a one hit kill, so of course you agree.
