What it takes to be a hero
Authorâs Note: Hello all. Sorry for not posting in a while, I was feeling very uninspired by the route I was going, although I do like to incorporate real life heavily into my work, I originally fell in love with how DC didnât feel like the real world. I enjoyed the heroes, the mystery, the drama and the overall fantasy of what the universe held. During quarantine Iâve created this story and Iâm so in love with it. I hope you all give this multi part story a chance and fall in love with it like I have. I think right now what we all need is something that brings more to us than just an imagine or headcanon. I want to give you guys a story you can get interested in, start theorizing on, and start picking sides and rooting for.Â
Pairing: Bruce Wayne x reader
Warnings: NSFW, blood, violence, cursing, angst (For the overall story)
Part Two: fight or flight

The leaguers stood around the medical table looking down to the woman below, wires and sensors were stuck all over her body monitoring her vitals. Which were beeping steadily.Â
âDoctor Stone wasnât lying when he said she healed quickly.â Flash said looking at her uninjured skin. Falling from the sky and bleeding out a couple hours ago, she seemed relatively unharmed now.Â
Batman nodded as he stood over the metal fragments Doctor Stone had removed from her injuries. Carefully he took a few of the fragments and stored them away safely for further research. âYou know, I donât think your supposed to take that.â Batman huffed turning to face the source of the voice.
âYou of all people should be aware that I take precautions.â His gruff voice said as he turned to walk next to the womanâs bed. She was undeniably beautiful, the way her hair cascaded down framing her face, her softly defined features. She was breath taking. But her beauty did not make Batman any less suspicious of her. âShe was attacked, we donât know why, or by who. If she herself is not a threat then whatever or whoever attacked her is. We need to be prepared.â He said reminding the group not to drop their guard.Â
âSo what do we do with her?â Diana asked looking at Batman with confusion written all over her face. She watched as he sighed, not taking his eyes off the mystery woman, studying her and trying to put the pieces together in his head despite knowing he didnât have all the pieces yet.Â
âWe find out why or how she got here and th-â Clark stood next to Bruce looking at him with disapproval.
âThis girl was attacked and fell from the sky, I donât think the first reaction she should get when sheâs awake is an interrogation.â His tone was harsher as he raised his voice defending his ideologies that conflicted yet again with that of his darker peer. Supermanâs head turned quickly as he heard the girls heart beating quicker, the pit in his stomach coming back now. The heart monitors finally beeping as they detected the rapid change in her heart beat.
Your head was pounding, your body was aching, but overall your mind was racing. Your mind was falling apart, you were searching for information of any kind but you couldnât find any. You were confused as you searched your mind, finding nothing but a void of nothingness. Voices began intruding your emptiness, a voice that scared you, a powerful voice, a harsh voice. Your adrenaline started rushing as you felt a familiar sense of fear flooding your body, almost like second nature.Â
Your eyes snapped open as an over whelming sense of panic came over you. You looked up first locking eyes with a black figure, he stands tall over you but his presence doesnât feel scary to you, it almost felt familiar and comfortable, his eyes scanning over your visibly shaken frame. He goes to talk to you, but the man next to him nudges his way in front of him. He stood over you strongly, staring at you intensely almost knowing your mind is running rapid through your head. He stands defensively in front of his friend, putting you further on edge.
You looked around the room feeling panic come over you as you looked around the room at more strangers standing defensively. The woman at the foot of your bed had he knees bent and her hand upon a blade ready to grab it any second, with her free hand held out gently in front of her almost telling you to calm down. The man dressed in red in the corner was in a ready position, looking as if he was ready to anticipate what you were doing. But then your eyes trailed back to the man dressed in the dark black color, he was the calmest, just observing you silently, reading your body language. He tried to step forward But the man in the blue put a hand in front of him shoving him backwards and away from you.Â
âNo Batman.â He said strictly as his eyes locked on you. Your nerves begin to race as you recognize the voice that frightened you earlier. You werenât sure what was happening and your memory before this is foggy. You felt helpless and scared, your fists began to ball in defense and you could feel the sweat dripping down your forehead as your eyes bolting around the room looking for any way out, your eyes fall on a door across the room. âDonât think about it.â The man in the blue warned but you ignored him, getting to your feet and racing towards the door at lightning speed. Only to be stopped by the man in blue.Â
Clark reacted quickly, you were fast, but he was faster. He grabbed you by your arm, immobilizing you and keeping you held in place. âIt doesnât have to be like this.â He stated calmly, trying to calm your heartbeat which is only beating quicker now. âWe only want to help.â he spoke trying the clam you but his words fell on ears deafened by panic and confusion. Clark knew he couldnât hope for the best at this point, the pit in his stomach grew quickly knowing he has no idea what he is up against

Okay so I guess this is chapter two Honestly I really wanted you guys to see the group dynamic in the first two chapters as well as getting a better psychological understanding of our main character before we integrate the two. So these two chapters are a bit slow for that reason.Â
