no, i don’t think human life is inherently more valuable than the life of any other thing.

that doesn’t mean i’m tying up a human and a mosquito on train tracks and telling you to fucking decide which one gets to live, holy shit.

when i speak about these topics, why do people immediately want to come up with worse case scenarios. as if they want the reason to kill, to destroy.

most of life isn’t like that. so why do we focus so much on it?

our first instinct should be to protect all life around us, as much as we can. not to come up with every possible reason to get rid of it.

when i say i don’t value human life over other life, i don’t mean that people shouldn’t get vaccinated for diseases (like let’s be for fucking real).

i mean fuck off fred shouldn’t get to cut down a bunch of trees to have his ‘perfect view’.

i mean that an ant’s bite shouldn’t be a justifiable reason for that ant’s death.

i mean things like bug zappers shouldn’t be commonplace.

i mean that we shouldn’t value human comfort over another organism’s right to live.

i mean that this world is not the human’s world.

the earth belongs to all that lives on it and all which lives on it deserves that life as much as any other.

it’s not a fucking trolley problem.
