Sif

"The way you are barking at others for simply existing," she answered in spite of the sarcasm. For a moment she considered just leaving, sighing as she decided against it - at least for the moment. "I merely wished to offer a bit of help. I can't ease whatever it is you are feeling or thinking, but I can dull the roaring of the outside world while you sit here."

"If you're certain." Whether she believed him or not, Sif knew there were times when she shouldn't press for more - especially when she doubted she could offer any sort of help. "I'm not certain what anyone has told you about the situation with Valhalla, but its collapse has left a hole in the realm it was hidden within and left many souls without a place to rest - and that's only the beginning of the problems it has caused. My companion and I are looking to correct it, but even in travelling there and watching it's creation I lack the understanding of the magics that were used to call Valhalla into existence. Though even if I did have the ability to preform it I'm not certain if it can be done again in the same way, or by anyone other than the Allfather."

Sif had known Lornarr would still be waiting when she ventured out of the shop, and though she hadn't intended to dawdle she did offer an apologetic look as she made her way back to him. "I did. Merely trinkets, gifts - nothing of use, I'm afraid." She simply enjoyed visiting with Fandral - perhaps more so as Trevor than she would if he remembered himself. The bag she carried vanished in a small swirl of magic, hopefully safely returned to the room she was staying in. "I have comprised a list of those that may be able to help us. I intend to speak with Strange soon, if you wish to accompany me?"

"They do, and I often find the living need a small moment of light here and there - something a small gift can give." Sif nodded. "He is, and I believe him to be a decent man. If he cannot help us directly, I have hope he will be able to point us in the direction of someone with more answers."

"I would hope nowhere else," Trevor replied as he crossed his arms and tried to lean against his shelves all suavely, however he didn't gauge the pull of gravity well enough and fell a bit more than he intended to, making the shelf shake a bit.

While she managed to keep it silent Sif wasn't able to keep the laughter from her eyes as she watched the man, shaking her head. "I never thought I'd see the day I'd tell.. a man he should practice his attempts at charming another, and yet here we are," she teased, reaching out to steady the shelf.

I intend to speak with Strange soon, if you wish to accompany me?"

"Thank you, Loki. I would truly appreciate a more gentle vexation," she teased. "Though I would settle for an assurance that you will not fake your death again, or that if you did you would give me a warning first. I would rather not mourn you again for a long time." Sif was quiet for a moment, smile widening a bit as she listened to the other. "I would enjoy that, truly. I've greatly missed your company." It might be odd at first, relearning someone she'd once been known so well, but even before Loki had lost his memory they had grown apart - perhaps a new beginning would do them good.

Trevor breathed out a sigh of relief, although he was sure that she would stick around. At least, he hoped she would. "You are a saint, Sylvie. I don't know what I would do if you stopped dropping by."

"I'm certain you'd make it through, Trevor," Sif shook her head, patting his shoulder as she slipped past him to continue browsing. "Luckily for you, I can't simply abandon you now. Where else in this city would I find a... Demogorgon plush toy and good company?"

Sif reached her free hand out to steady the man before giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "It becomes easier to manage," she assured. She hadn't experienced the unease herself, but she had learned it was likely to happen should she bring anyone along with her. She did have to wonder if he would have felt it the same, had he still been entirely Loki. She couldn't help the warm smile that tugged at her lips as she watched the scene unfolding before them, and as the two children vanished from sight she pulled him along with her into the shadows - this time with a warning of "hold on" before they were pulled out into a new moment, one several years later. The two are sat on a bench nestled in the middle of a large courtyard, Loki attempting to teach the young warrior a new rune. They were still so far back that her hair was golden, their first true rift still a few months off. "I always had a difficult time finding the patience for your magics, and still you would spend so much time helping me to learn." Somewhere in the distance a young Thor called out, and it was only moments before the boy and their other friends had joined the two. Sif let the moments fade back to the present, leaving the two of them standing in the darkened courtyard. "There are thousands of years worth of moments in your life, Loki. You have always been made up of mischief and chaos, but there were parts of you that made it easy to love you through that. Even at your worst. I shouldn't show you any more, you don't need the burden of a lifetime you don't remember - I simply want you to know that no matter what you read on Midgard, or what anyone accuses you of? That isn't all that you are."

"It might give me more stress and grey hairs, honestly," he replied, standing up a bit straighter. "Well then I think we can work something out. But only if you promise not to shop at my competitors. I would hate to lose my best customer."

Sif hummed a bit as she pretended to weigh her options, finally letting out a soft sigh and nodding. "Well I suppose that is a fair deal. Besides - they play the most awful music, spending any length of time in there would be dreadful."

"I do think I saw a new place open up down the street last week. Bit of competition would do you wonders, wouldn't it?" Sif grinned a bit, biting back a laugh that threatened to slip out. "Oh that would be quite perfect, I think. My friend does adore both Thor and PopTarts."

"You were my friend more than you were my enemy, and we had many years to learn one another." Sif knew it was an unkind method - she could have at least given him proper warning - but instead she simply caught his hand in hers and pulled him with her through the fabric of space and time. A fraction of a second later and they were standing in a dimly lit little corner, one of many hidden paths he had shown her when they were children. "A moment. I haven't had a great deal of practice with this, but it cannot harm you." At most it would tire her, but she doubted a few short moments could do much. Magic flickered around them as Sif worked to share the moment - she'd found it was easier when she was in the space where the moment had occurred, but sharing it was always a touch more tricky. She couldn't even be certain it would work properly, that he would see the much younger versions of themselves giggling as they ducked around the corner to hide from another group of young children that ran by, shouting over some stolen sweets. The two slipped through a small passage hidden in shadow, the young Sif whispering something about "But how can you know your brother will not find us?" and receiving a muffled answer of "Because this is my path."
