This is at the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park... a vital stop in Accra to learn about one of Africa's strongest historical leaders who threw off the chains of white systemic racism AKA colonialism 2.0. This statue is made on the very spot that he made the famous speech in 1957 declaring that Ghana is now free forever and no longer under British rule. He built his platform on Pan-Africanism and autonomy of Black people. We must come together now to fight colonialism 3.0 whether that be from police terrorism, the European divide and conquer tactics, educational systems that are ill suited to teach our youth, economic systems that were created to dilute our power or racist elements of society that seek to take from our community and harm our men, women and YOUTH.
