Blaise wasnât a bad person in your eyes. He was your older brother the person who always protected you. You were always scared of the men your mother dated. Which made Blaise your Protector.
Blaise was 1 year older but you still started school the same year because you both were begging your mother to not leave you alone without blaise to help you.
Of course the both of you were Slytherins and you were also both in the same friend group you were inseparable.
You also hated all the girls drooling over Blaise.
âNerd stop googling your eyes at my brother.âY/n spoke up while walking past the stunned ravenclaw.
But Blaise wasnât bothered by that.
He actually thought it was funny how his younger sister was looking out for him.
But he noticed she herself was fancying over someone.
He found out who during Professor Slughorns Potions class when the professor asked his sister to smell the amortentia and she smelled Dracoâs top three smells
Peppermint
Green Apples
Cologne(a lot of it)
But it wasnât one sided fancying.
âGod, why did your sister use so much of her perfume this morning. It reeks in here.â

Can you write a charles and reader story basically they just told everyone that they're in a relationship for a couple of months now (or even a year) and everyone in social media is asking if Charles can fight but the reader nor charles acknowledges it, until the drivers press conference where someone asks charles if he can fight and everyone was just laughing at his response and the fans go crazy over this and talks about it everywhere and says that they need a charles in their life.

âQuick question for Charles.â The interviewer said. âIâve gotten multiple tweets and messages from your very own fans and I feel obligated to ask this now. They want to know if you can fight?â
âIf I can fight?â Charles asked surprised.
âYes, thatâs all they want to know.â
Pierre was on the end of the sofa bursting out into laughter. Heâs seen the tweets about Charles and Y/nâs relationship.
âIt depends I guess, who am I fighting?â
Pierre laughter gets louder. âMate, your fans are asking you if you know how to fight? I think most of them are girls.â
âOh! Oh my god.â
âI saw a tweet saying they were going to steal your girlfriend away from you, Charles.â Max spoke up. âAre you going to fight them?â
âI donât know themââ
âMate, theyâre going to steal your girl.â Max continued. âWhat if you fight on the track? Winner gets Y/n.â
âI donât know if sheâd like that.â Charles chuckled. âThis is the most confused Iâve ever been in my life.â

âOkay, are we ready?â Charles asked his friends, who were all in their own homes streaming.
âPapa? I canât open my food.â He heard Rubyâs voice from behind him. She entered his room holding a fruit cup she got from the refrigerator.
âRUBYYYYY!â The little girl heard Landoâs voice yell from Charlesâ headphones.
âMate! You screamed right in my ear!â Charles took off his headphones. He grabbed the fruit cup from Rubyâs hand and opened up the container.
âWhat are you doing?â Ruby asked when she noticed he had a game loading on the screen.
âIâm playing with Lando, George and Alex. Want to say hi?â Ruby nodded with a smile. âBaby Leclerc is here, donât say any bad stuff!â He warned his friends as he put the headphones on Rubyâs ears.
âHi, Baby Leclerc!â Alex said to the little girl. âLily misses you!â
âWhereâs Lily?â The girl immediately asked.
âSheâs playing golf right now.â
Then Charles read the chat.
paddockbesties BABY LECLERC Hi
gaslysteam she looks so big since the last time she was on stream
lu565 hi baby leclerc!!
âBaby, look theyâre saying hi to you.â Charles pointed at the screen and read a few comments to her.
âHi!â The little girl waved to the screen.
âHi Baby L! Itâs your favorite uncle here!â Lando said.
âUncle Pierre?â Ruby questioned which made all the drivers laugh.
âThis is the worst day of my life.â Lando said.
âOkay, here you go baby.â Charles gave Ruby her fruit cup. âBe carefulââ
And down to the floor went the fruit cup.
âSorry papa.â Ruby apologized. âI clean.â
âWait here,â Charles said to her. He was going to get the paper towels since she wasnât tall enough to reach the counter. After he left, she sat in his gaming chair and looked at the screen, watching the chat go by.
âBaby L, how are you?â Alex asked the girl.
âHappy. George, whereâs Carmen?â
Ruby loved Lily and Carmen so she was rather upset that the two women werenât present. She then remembered something that had happened to her a couple days ago that she wanted to share.
âMy papa and mama were yelling when I came here with uncle enzo. But then they said I love you.â Ruby said. She started playing with the headsetâs cord.
âWhy were they yelling?â Lando asked.
âI donât know! They were on the bed and my papa told me not to go in!â
âRUBY STOP TALKING!â Lando yelled.
âNO NO NO.â Alex tried to make as much noise so the viewers didnât hear anything else.
âWHERE IS CHARLES? CHARLES COME GET YOUR DAUGHTER!â George had even taken his phone out to text Charles to hurry up.
Hey can I request a Ruby fic where sheâs visiting Charles to one of the races and paps have unintentionally scared her so Charles goes into protective father mood. Thank you. I love your ruby universe very much.

Charles was proud of Rubyâs outfit choice, mainly because he had picked it out himself. Ruby had her hair in two braids, some shorts and Charles had gotten her a Ferrari baseball jersey so they could match all day. Y/n decided to stay behind a bit in the hotel with MathĂŠo so he could take a nap before they joined them in the paddock.
âIs Jack coming?â Ruby asked her father as they walked into the paddock. She loved playing around the paddock with Jack and always asked if the boy was going to be at the next race.
âIâm not sure. But we can always play together. Thereâs a big field and I can ask someone for a ball.â Charles explained to the girl. There was not doubt that finding a ball for Ruby to play with was going to be hard to find. They were inside a stadium after all.
Several photographers saw the father and daughter enter so they took out their cameras and started taking pictures of them. Charles didnât like the idea so he took off his sunglasses and placed them on Rubyâs face even though they were a bit bigger on hers. He then lifted her up into his arms and tried his best to shield her away from the photographers.
âPapa, why are they taking pictures?â Ruby questioned. From under then sunglasses, she saw flasses of light.
âItâs their job, Ruby. I donât like it either.â He admitted as he continued walking to the Ferrari garage.
âCharles! Charles! A picture with your daughter please!â
Ruby could hear her fatherâs name being yelled more and more. She didnât like it. She saw the men with the cameras follow them. To her, it was like the monsters from the fairytales in her books were following her and her papa. She snuggled up to Charlesâ neck causing the glasses to fall from her face. In that moment, every photographer tried their best to take pictures of the young girl.
âPapa!â Ruby yelled as she was blinded by the lights. (I promise this is not a musical reference oops)
âCan you back up?! No, donât take pictures of her!â Charles raised his voice at the men.
Still, they ignored him.
âHey!â A loud voice was heard from behind the group of men. âLeave them alone. Go bother someone else.â
Charles watched as the photographers backed away once they heard Lewis yell at them. He stayed with Charles and Ruby until the last photographer left. âYou okay, man?â Lewis asked Charles.
âYeah, I wish they could just leave us alone all the time. Y/n hates them.â Charles said. He then pressed a kiss to Rubyâs cheek. âAre you okay, Mon chĂŠri?â
Ruby slowly nodded. Her attention was on her papaâs glasses on the floor. Lewis noticed and grabbed the glasses. âI believe these belong to you, Miss Leclerc.â
âTheyâre papaâs! Theyâre big on me!â She laughed when Lewis tried to put them on face.
âYou sure? They look much better on you.â Lewis laughed.
âThank you.â Ruby smiled at the Mercedes driver.
âThanks Lewis. We have to leave, but Iâll see you later.â Charles nodded at the driver.
âNo problem. Bye, Ruby.â Lewis waved goodbye to the girl.
âBye! Say hi to Roscoe!â
As the day went by, Charles kept Ruby close to him until Y/n arrived. If he wasnât available to look after Ruby, Pierre and Kika took care of her. Charles wasnât going to let the photographers ruin Rubyâs day.
Now in the Alpine hospitality, Kika sat next to Ruby coloring on a piece of paper with the girl. Charles and Pierre sat next to each other across from the girls talking about the lack of security. Ruby managed to understand some of the words they were saying.
âThey were mean. They yelled at papa.â Ruby added.
âThey did?â Pierre asked, gasping a bit.
Ruby nodded. âThey are so mean! And loud and scary! What if they yell at mama and ThĂŠo?â
âIâm going to make sure mama and ThĂŠo donât get yelled at by the mean scary men. Donât worry.â Charles assured his daughter.
âKika, can I tell you something?âThe girl said to the woman. She then cupped her hands and whispered some words into Kikaâs ear. Both Charles and Pierre watched, wondering what the little girl couldâve told Kika.
Kika then gasped just like Pierre had done. âReally? Then heâs the best papa in the world!â
Ruby nodded and giggled. âHe is!â
Kika saw the confused faces on the drivers and asked Ruby if it was okay to share the information she had just told her. Ruby nodded and grabbed her crayon to continue coloring.
âShe said that her papa was protecting her from the mean scary men and that he was very brave.â Kika said and watched Charlesâ lips turn into a smile.
No matter what, Charles would always protect his little girl from anything. (Even in the future when she would start dating, yeah he would never be ready for that.)

Charles was seventeen when he had realised something was awfully wrong with him. It was a Friday night, and he was sitting on the couch with his best friend, you, watching a low-budget Christmas movie. The main reason to do that was so that both of you could point out the mistakes and get a good laugh out of it. Just like how you did once in a while when you finally had free time.
However, on that particular night, his eyes kept wandering to you, who was sitting next to him with your legs tucked under you. He couldn't help but notice the way your long lashes brushed against your cheek when you laughed, or the way your full lips curled up in a smile.
It was then that he realised he had been feeling this way for a while. He had always thought you were beautiful, which, of course he would think because you were his best friend. He couldnât just think you are not beautiful but now he found himself drawn to you in a way that he couldn't explain and now, itâs not out of the reason that you were his best friend. He just didnât know what that meant, not yet.
He couldn't stop noticing the small things about you, like the way your jet black hair fell in soft waves around your face or the way you absentmindedly twirled a strand of hair around your finger.
As the movie continued, Charles found himself growing more and more restless. Instead of pointing at the screen of the TV before him and bursting out in laughter before saying something awfully mean about the movie, he went still, as if he was frozen.Â
He tried to focus on the movie and ignore the flutter of his stomach when you placed a hand on his arm, but it was impossible. He found himself studying your hand instead, how itâs so much smaller than his. How it would fit perfectly in his-
A hand appeared in front of his eyes before he heard the fingers snap. âCharles? Are you even listening?â you asked, a frown taking over your features.
Charles snapped out of his thoughts and looked up at you. "Uh, sorry. What were you saying?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
"I said this is so bad it's good," you said with a chuckle, pointing at the screen.
"I can't believe they even made this," Charles replied, shaking his head in amusement but also relieved that he could finally distract himself from thinking about you.
"Look at that CGI," you pointed out as the poorly rendered reindeer flew across the screen. "It's like they didn't even try."
Charles snickered. "And the acting! It's like they picked up random people off the street and put them in the movie."
You couldn't help but giggle at his comment. "I bet we could do a better job than this."
"Definitely," Charles agreed, a mischievous glint in his eye. "We should make our own Christmas movie."
You couldn't help but grin at the idea. "With reindeer that actually look like reindeer?"
"And actors who can actually act," Charles added with a chuckle.
At one point, you paused the movie and got up to make some popcorn. Charles watched you as you moved around the kitchen, admiring the way you moved with such grace and ease.
When you returned with a bowl of popcorn, you plopped down on the couch next to him and resumed the movie.
As the movie went on, the jokes and laughter continued. Charles found himself feeling more and more comfortable in your presence, like he could truly be himself around you. He couldn't help but think about how lucky he was to have you in his life, as both his best friend and someone he was starting to feel more for.
Finally, the movie ended, and both of you collapsed on the couch in exhaustion from laughing so hard. Charles turned to you, a wide smile on his face.
"That was so bad," he said, shaking his head.
"I know, right? I can't believe we actually watched that," you replied, giggling.
Charles leaned in a little closer, feeling a rush of courage. "You know what wasn't bad though?" he asked, his eyes locking onto yours.
"What?" you asked, looking at him with a quizzical expression.
"This. Just hanging out with you. It's always the best part of my tiring weeks of training," he said, feeling his heart pounding in his chest.
You smiled at him, and for a moment, Charles thought he saw something more in your expression. But before he could fully process it, you leaned in and gave him a warm hug.
"I feel the same way, Charles. You're the best friend I could ever ask for," you said, squeezing him tightly.
Charles felt a pang of disappointment, his face falling. But he pushed it aside, what mattered is having you beside him for now. The two of you stayed on the couch for a while longer, talking and laughing until the late hours of the night.
Charles was nineteen when he had lost the most important person in his life, his idol, his father. The world had come crashing down on him, leaving him in a sea of grief and sadness. It was as if someone had pulled the rug from under his feet, leaving him stumbling in the dark.
Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months, but the pain never went away. To the world, he was a strong young boy who had won the Formula 2 race in Baku just four days after his fatherâs demise. However, the grief had become a part of him, a constant companion that he couldn't shake off. Everywhere he went, he saw reminders of his father. The sound of a car engine, the smell of gasoline, the sight of a racing track, all brought back memories of the times they had spent together.
Charles sat on his balcony, his eyes fixed on the distant skyline. The sun had just set, casting a golden glow across the city. He didn't move, didn't speak. He just sat there, lost in his thoughts.
As you approached him, you could see the sadness etched on his face. You placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, and he turned to look at you, his eyes red-rimmed from crying.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to be so distant."
You shook your head. "It's okay," you said, taking a seat beside him. "You don't have to apologise."
Charles sighed deeply, and you could feel the weight of his grief pressing down on him. "It's just...it's hard, you know? Losing someone you love."
You nodded, knowing that there were no words that could ease his pain. "I know. But you're not alone, Charles. I'm here for you."
He looked at you then, his eyes searching for something. "Thank you," he said softly. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
You smiled, reaching out to take his hand. "You don't have to do anything alone. That's what friends are for."
Charles leaned his head back, his eyes closing as he took a deep breath. "I know," he said. "It's just...sometimes it feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders."
You squeezed his hand, feeling the warmth of his skin against yours. "You don't have to carry that weight alone, Charles. I'm here for you, always."
He looked at you then, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "Thank you," he said again, his voice choked with emotion.
You sat there with him, the two of you watching the city lights twinkling in the distance. You knew that you couldn't take away his pain, but you could be there for him. And in that moment, that was enough.
In those dark moments, when Charles felt like he had no one left to support him, you were there. As his best friend, you stood by him through thick and thin, offering a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear whenever he needed it. You never judged him for his tears or his anger, but rather held him close and whispered words of comfort and encouragement.
It was in those moments that Charles realised just how important you were to him. You were his rock, his safe haven, his confidante. Without you, he didn't know how he would have made it through those dark days. You gave him hope and reminded him that he was not alone.
Charles is twenty-five years old and things aren't exactly going his way. Actually, things are only going downhill. The 2022 Formula 1 season started off well for him, but lately, everything seems to be going wrong. His car has been malfunctioning, and he's had to retire early from the last few races. His team wasnât exactly the best at their job, in fact, they were nowhere near descent and his confidence is at an all-time low.
Adding insult to injury, his girlfriend recently broke up with him. They had been dating for a while, and Charles thought things were going well. But then things somehow didnât work out for them. They were adults with two very different lives and priorities after all but Charles couldnât help but be devastated. Itâs like the world was punishing him for some godforsaken sin he had committed without knowing.Â
He's been feeling lost and alone, with no one to turn to. You have been busy with your own life and job, and he doesn't want to burden you with his problems. But as he sits on his couch, staring blankly at the wall, he can't help but feel like he needs someone to talk to.
Just then, his phone buzzes. It's a text from you. "Hey, how are you doing?"
Charles hesitates for a moment before typing back, "Not great, to be honest. Can we talk?"
You reply immediately, "Of course. I'll be there in 20 minutes, let me finish this meeting."
And you do keep your word. You arrive at his apartment in about thirty minutes, the apartment door opening to reveal a Charles who has lost the glow of his face. You can sense the pain through his eyes.Â
"Hey, what's going on?" You ask, concern evident on your face as you frown.
Charles takes a deep breath before starting to speak. "My season's going terribly. My car's malfunctioning, I keep crashing, and my girlfriend just broke up with me. I don't know what to do," he shrugs, doing a terrible job at playing nonchalant because you know him too well and can see through his facade before anyone else.
You nod, sighing. "I'm sorry, Charles. That must be a lot to handle."Â
"I just feel so lost," Charles says, his voice cracking. "I thought things were going well, but now it feels like everything's falling apart."
Honestly you have a lot to say but Charles doesnât seem to be in the mood to take advice so you place a hand on his shoulder, knowing what he needs at the moment is comfort. "I know it's tough, and what I am about to say is gonna sound toxic but you can't give up. You're a talented driver, and more than that, you have worked too hard to be where you are right now, Charles. You know I have witnessed you going through it all, donât you?"
"But it feels like nothing's going my way," Charles says, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so tired of all of this."
You look at him with concern. "Have you talked to anyone on your team? Maybe they can help you with your car."
Charles shakes his head. "I don't want to seem like I'm not capable of handling things on my own. Plus, they are the last people I would wanna talk to right now knowing how theyâve been recently." He mumbles, his head on his palm.Â
"Charles, you don't have to do everything on your own," You say firmly. "It's okay to ask for help when you need it. You have people who care about you and want to see you succeed."
Charles looks at you, his face softening. "What would I do without you?"
You smile at him. "You don't have to worry about that. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."
Both of you sit there in silence for a few moments, with your arm around Charles' shoulder. The only sound is the ticking of the clock on the wall.
Finally, Charles speaks up again. "I'm sorry for burdening you with all of this. You have your own life and your own problems."
You sigh, here he goes again. âCharles, please. Why do you have to make things awkward by saying these, huh? Iâm your best friend for a reason. Stop saying sorry,â You huff, looking annoyed to which he chuckles, his voice resonating in the living room of his quiet apartment.Â
âThere you go.â You say, smiling as you poke at one of his dimples. âHere is the actual Charles who is back.â
Charles rolls his eyes before pushing you by the shoulders, playfully. âYouâre so cheesy, eww.â
Later that night, Charles lies in bed staring at the ceiling, his mind racing with thoughts. The conversation with you had helped him feel better, but it had also brought up some confusing feelings.
He has always known that he cares about you deeply. You have been best friends since forever, and you have been there for him through his good and bad times. But now, he wonders if there could be something more than just friendship between you two.
As he lies there, he can't help but wonder if you ever thought of this possibility. He has never been good at reading people, but he has always thought that there is something more between you two.
He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts. This is not the time to be thinking about this. He has enough on his plate as it is.
But no matter how hard he tries, he can't shake the feeling that something has changed. He can't stop thinking about the way you had looked at him earlier, the concern evident in your eyes. He can't help but wonder if there is something more behind that concern.
He sighs, turning over onto his side. He knows he should talk to you about this, but he is scared of ruining the friendship you two have built over the years. He doesn't want to risk losing you, but at the same time, he can't keep these feelings bottled up inside forever.
As he drifts off to sleep, his mind still filled with thoughts of you, he knows that he will have to confront his feelings sooner or later. But for now, he will try to push them aside and focus on getting his life back on track.
Charles is sitting on his couch, lost in thought, when he hears a knock at his door. It's late, and he isn't expecting anyone, but he gets up to answer it anyway. As he opens the door, he sees you standing there, completely drenched from the rain, tears streaming down your face.
Despite the tears streaming down your face, Charles can't help but notice how beautiful you look in that moment. The rain has matted your hair to your face, your nose and lips are red and swollen. The vulnerability in your eyes makes his heart ache, and he wishes he could do something to take the pain away. He doesnât remember the last time he has seen you like this before, so raw and exposed, and it makes him want to wrap his arms around you and hold you close.
Without a word, he pulls you inside and closes the door behind you. You collapse onto his couch, still crying, and Charles sits down next to you, unsure of what to say.
"Hey, it's okay," he says, brows pinched together in concern, placing a hand on your shoulder. "What happened? Why are you crying?"
You take a deep breath before answering. "It's him," you say, your voice shaking. "He's left me for another girl. I don't know what to do."
Charles feels a pang of anger and sadness for you. He knows how much you care for this guy and how much you have invested in the relationship. But he also knows that he hasn't been the best friend to you lately, too wrapped up in his own problems to notice yours.
"I'm so sorry," he says, squeezing your shoulder. "That's terrible. Do you want to talk about it?"
You nod, wiping away tears. "I just don't understand how he could do this to me. We were so good together. And now he's just gone, with someone else."
Charles listens as you talk, offering comfort and support where he can. As you speak, he realises how much he has taken you for granted as a friend. He has always known that you are there for him, but he has never fully appreciated just how much you have given to him.
He stares at you, noticing yet again how even with tears streaming down your face and your clothes drenched from the rain, you still look so breathtakingly beautiful.Â
"I'm sorry," he interrupts you, voice laced with guilt. "I should have been there for you more. I've been so wrapped up in my own stuff that I haven't been a good friend to you. And that's not fair."
You look up at him, surprised by his words. "What are you talking about?"
"I mean it," Charles says, looking you in the eye. "I should have been there for you more. You've always been there for me, and I haven't done the same for you. And I'm sorry."
Tears well up in your eyes again.. "Thank you," you say, leaning into him for a hug. "I donât think thatâs true but saying that means a lot to me."
Charles wraps his arms around you, holding you close. In that moment, he realises that he doesn't just care about you as a friend. He cares about you as something more, something deeper. And as he holds you, he wonders if he will ever muster up the courage to tell you about it.
But for now, he will focus on being the friend you need. Because that's what you deserve, and that's what he should have been all along.
Charles doesn't know how to react when he finds his phone buzzing at the odd hour of 3 am. He rubs his eyes and squints at the caller ID. Itâs you. He canât help but frown. You have always been the more responsible one out of you two. What could have caused you to call him this late at night?
"Hello? Are you okay?" Charles asks, his voice deep and hoarse from sleep.
"Chaarlessss!" You slur into the phone. "Dude, I am at this stupid club⌠and I have no idea where the exit is," you giggle into the phone as if itâs something funny.
Charlesâ brows pinch together in concern, his heart sinking at the sound of your voice. He can tell from the background noise that you are drunk at a club and making little sense.
"Okay, turn on your location so I can come find you," he says patiently, trying not to sound disappointed. How down bad did you have to be for a man to react like this? He canât help but let the wave of sadness wash over him. You mustâve liked the guy a lot.
You do as you are told, and Charles quickly gets dressed and heads out to the club. When he arrives, he can hear the thumping bass from outside. He soon finds you sitting slumped against a wall, looking lost and dishevelled. And yet at a time like this, he canât help but notice how pretty you look, even in your current state. Your hair is a mess, but your eyes glimmer in the dim light of the club.
"Hey," he whispers, gaze softening, kneeling down next to you. "Let's get you out of here."
He helps you up and leads you out of the club, shielding you from the flashing lights and thumping music. He carries you in his arms at one point to settle you into the passengerâs seat safely, and gets into his Ferrari before speeding back to his apartment.
You are still talking nonsensically, but Charles tries to listen only to fail because he canât understand a single word coming out of your mouth. His chest feels tight at witnessing the person who usually gave him words of encouragement and strength, being a mess herself.
Once he arrives outside his apartment, he turns to find your eyes barely open. "Hey," he says, nudging you gently. "You alright?"
You mumble something incoherent again as your eyes are unfocused. Charles sighs, realising he has to carry you again.
"Come on," he whispers, crouching down beside you. "Let's get you to bed."
You donât seem to have the energy to protest as Charles carefully lifts you into his arms. He can feel the weight of your body against his chest, and he adjusts his grip to make sure you are comfortable. He walks to his apartment with calculated steps and then to his bedroom, being careful not to jostle you too much. You lean against his chest, your head lolling to the side during the process of him carrying you.
Once he arrives in his bedroom, he carefully sets you down on the edge of the bed as he kneels down in front of you before gently beginning to remove your shoes, one at a time. He can see that you are struggling to keep your eyes open, and he knows that you could fall asleep any moment.
With your shoes off, Charles stands up to run his fingers through your hair in an attempt to untangle the mess. He has known you for long enough to know you are a control freak who would hate waking up with tangled hair, and he wants to make sure you are comfortable. He can feel the softness of your hair against his fingers as he gently brushes through the knots.
Finally, when your hair is smooth and soft, Charles gently guides you back onto the bed, pulling the covers up to your chin. You look up at him with bleary eyes, a small smile on your face.
"Thanks." you hum, before your eyes close.
As he is about to leave, he feels a hand wrap around his wrist. He turns to find you looking up at him, a sad smile playing on your lips as you struggle to keep your eyes open.Â
"He told me I have been in love with you and not with him, that I don't know," you mumble, your words slurring together.
Charles's heart skips a beat as he stares at you, frozen in disbelief. He has always suspected that his feelings for you ran deeper than just friendship, but he has never allowed himself to entertain the thought that you might feel the same way about him.
"What?" he whispers, leaning in closer to hear you better.
Your eyes turn glassy with tears as you shake your head slightly. "Do you know how mad I was? I was more mad than upset because I knew he was right the moment he said those words. Him leaving me for another woman feels deserving," you say, your voice filled with emotion.
"Hey, it's okay," he says softly, reaching out to wipe away your tears with his thumb. "You don't have to worry about him anymore. You're here, with me."
You look up at him, your eyes shining in the dim light of the room. You reach out and touch his cheek, your fingers warm against his skin.
"I know," you say, your voice barely above a whisper. "And I'm glad I am."
A warm sensation spreads through his chest. He canât believe that this moment is finally happening, and he wants to savour every second of it.
"Me too," he whispers, kneeling down before he runs his hand through your hair gently. He contemplates for a moment as he stares at your long lashes to your plump lips, wondering if he should kiss you or not.
âWhat?â you frown, pouting your lips in the process. âI know what youâre thinking. Whatâs stopping you?â
He smirks, amused at your growing confidence. âThat youâre drunkâŚ? And that, you might not remem-â
âShhh. I am drunk enough to confess but not drunk enough to forget all of this by tomorrow. This is done purposefully for a reason,â you place a finger on his lips while winking at him.Â
He gasps, âOh wow! Amazing! Elaborate what that means or youâre not getting the kiss.â
You roll your eyes. âYouâre so annoying. What I mean is that I knew I would never have the courage to confess to you unless I am drunk but not blackout drunk so that Iâd forget everything by the time I wake up. Happy? Or do you want me to say I love you again?â.
Without hesitation, Charles takes your face in his hands and leans in to kiss you. His lips soft and tender against yours. He can feel you responding eagerly to his kiss, your arms wrapping around his neck to pull him closer.
Your tongues tangle as his hands slide down to your waist, pulling your body against his. He can feel your curves press against him, and he savours the sensation of your warmth and softness.
As you kiss, Charles canât help but feel like he is finally where he belongs. He has spent so many years pining for you withouting even knowing, hoping and praying that you would one day see him the way he sees you. And now that you have, Charles feels like he is on top of the world.
He deepens the kiss, his tongue exploring the depths of your mouth, and he feels you moan softly in response. The sound sends shivers down his spine, and he knows that he never wants this moment to end.
But eventually, you pull away, your breaths coming in short gasps. Charles gazes down at you, his eyes sparkling with love and desire.
"I never want to let you go," he whispers, his voice husky with emotion.
You smile up at him, eyes crinkling to signal how happy you are. "You don't have to," you reply, your hands still resting on his shoulders.
Charles leans down to kiss you again, his lips tracing a path down your neck as feels you shudder. You have waited so long for this moment, and now that it is here, Charles knows that he is never going to let it slip away.
Charles and Y/N were in bed watching some netflix documentary. It was a Saturday morning, the couple didn't have any plans so they decided to stay in bed for an extra hour. Ruby was in her room playing with her dolls, but as time went on, she walked into her parent's room, still in her pajamas, and told them she had gotten bored of her barbies.
"Daddy, can I play a game on your phone?" Ruby asked, climbing onto the bed and laying ontop of Charles.
"What happened to your iPad?" Charles questioned.
"Its with grand-mère, I forgot it." Ruby frowned.
"Okay, but not for too long." Charles sighed and grabbed his phone from the nightstand. "If someone calls, bring it to me, okay?"
Ruby nodded and climbed off. Her little feet took her to the living room. She sat on the couch and tried to find the game Charles had installed for her to play. Instead of clicking on the game, a certain colorful app caught her eye. She clicked on the Instagram app and the first thing she saw on Charles' feed was a picture of Y/N that she had posted recently. Her chubby fingers clicked on the heart then clicked on the comments. She knew how to spell since Y/N and Charles were teaching her so she slowly typed out a comment.

back in Charles and Y/N bedroom, Charles was too focused on giving his wife her morning kisses. They had completely forgotten about the documentary that was playing on the tv. Y/N was also too busy to even notice the notifications going off from her phone.
Ruby was having too much fun with her dad's phone. She kept liking photos and even took some up close photos of her face with funny filters. That's when she saw the LIVE option. Ruby, being the curious girl she is, clicked on LIVE and wondered what it was doing.
charles_leclerc started a live video
The screen showed her face, but nothing was happening. She was extremely confused. Then the comments started popping up.

"What's a credit card?" Ruby asked as if someone was going to tell her. She thought it was recording so an idea popped up in her head. She raced to her room with Charles' phone in hand and grabbed her favorite barbies. As she ran back, Charles called her name, unaware that his phone was capturing everything.
"Ruby! Slow down, I don't want you to fall." Charles called out.

"Its okay, baby. Are you hungry?" Y/N asked her daughter.
"No," Ruby quickly said and ran back to the living room.
"Ruby Jules!"

Ruby positioned the phone against her mom's favorite candle and showed the camera a barbie that her uncle Lorenzo had gotten her.
"I like this one. She has pretty hair and my uncle Enzo got it for me." She brought the barbie extremely close to the camera.

Ruby then set the barbie down and grabbed her favorite american girl doll that Charles got for her. "Daddy got me this one. She has purple hair and has a crown, see?" Ruby showed the camera yet again. "I have more. And I have things for her hair." This time she ran to her playroom where most of her dolls were located. Instead of taking the phone with her, she left it propped up against the candle.

Ruby came back with all her american girl doll accessories. They were in the classic american girl red bag, but Ruby decided to dump it all on the floor.
"Ruby! What are you doing?" Y/N called out as Charles kissed her neck.
"Playing." Ruby said casually.
"Charles, get up. This girl might be writing on the walls." Y/N said, but Charles wouldn't get off of her.
"She's playing on my phone, she's okay."
"Still, let me get up. My amazon package gets delivered today. Get up, Perceval!" Y/N pinched his side, causing him to groan in pain and finally get off his wife.
Charles dramatically rolled onto his side. "It hurts. It hurts more when you don't have a shirt on."
"You're alive, dear husband." Y/N rolled her eyes and got up from the bed. She put on her slippers, not bothering to put on a proper shirt so she walked to the front door in her matching black silk shorts and lace top. She failed to notice her daughter on Instagram live.

Once Y/N opened the door, she heard her daughter say something. "What did you say, baby?" She said, still not looking in Ruby's direction as she retrieved her package from the front door.
"I said i know how to read." Ruby replied.
"Yeah, you do. You're a smart girl." Y/N nodded and went to her office that was right next to Ruby's play room.
Ruby continued showing the camera her toys.

Then Charles finally came into the frame. He was shirtless so all the comments went by too fast for Ruby to read. Like Y/N, he didn't notice Ruby trying to read comments on the phone.
As Charles was about to ask Ruby what she wanted for breakfast, Y/N's phone started to ring. Charles quickly made his way back to the shared bedroom. He looked at the phone screen and saw that his brother Arthur was the one calling. He answered the call.
"Hey, good morning-"
"Get your phone! Ruby is on Instagram live!" Arthur said.
"What?"
"She's live, Charles!"
Charles quickly ran to the living room to find Ruby showing the camera a framed photo of Charles and Y/N's wedding. "Ruby, give me the phone!" Charles raised his voice, making Y/N come out of her office wondering what was going on.
"I was showing the pretty picture!"
Y/N ran to Ruby and saw that she was showing the viewers her wedding picture. "Baby, give daddy his phone back."
"Okay. The game was boring." Ruby handed Charles his phone back and went to her playroom.
Charles quickly ended the live and put his phone on the coffee table. "She's never playing on my phone ever again."
"Who told you she was on Instagram?" Y/N asked.
"Arthur. He called you, I answered. He probably got a notification that ruby went live." Charles sighed. "Well, I think everyone knows her name by now."
"Oh my god, wait give me my phone. I have your post notifications on." Y/N gasped.
Charles handed her her phone. He watched as she scrolled through all the Instagram notifications. She then held the phone out for him to see. "She used your account to comment on my picture. Look what she said."
Charles laughed at the comment. "Well she's not wrong. The fans did call you a milf."
"Imagine the ones that missed Ruby's live, they're going to see this comment and think that you have some weird kink. Good luck explaining that, Perceval." Y/N kissed Charles' cheek and went to Ruby's playroom.
"From now on, Ruby is on a phone ban!"

Part One: It's Too Early
A/N: Made this Pt.2 to Itâs Too Early
It's not supposed to be easy being a parent; being a parent is giving up this part of your life and becoming this whole new person, whose in charge of this little life. It petrified you beyond belief. Pierre was born at 26 weeks old. While you never told anyone, you were worried something would go wrong, and he'd be taken from you.
You were nervous and terrified to hold your son, afraid you'd hurt him somehow, not even meaning to. Charles....god, Charles was perfect. He took everything thrown at him and acted like it never affected him, he was excellent with Pierre, and some of you hated it. Why couldn't you be natural like your husband?
Charles was patient with you, but you could tell his patience was wearing thin but he wasn't home 24/7. Of course, he'd be happy to wake up in the middle of the night to soothe his crying son. He wants to do everything while he's there. But you were always there, and it wasn't helping you. It was breaking you down; you loved your son unconditionally, but a small part of you that went through all those negative tests you were terrified that if you got too close, the universe would play some cruel joke and take him away.
Charles could see how being home always with Pierre dragged you down and how you've changed; you even refuse his touch. That's what hurt him more. You didn't want to be intimate anymore, he knew it took a while for a woman to heal after giving birth, but he wasn't going to push it and started to provide you with space. You didn't want space; you just couldn't figure out how to talk to Charles about all your insecurities.
"Baby, let's go out for dinner tonight; Pierre can watch the baby, and we can....talk," Charles says, stepping back from you when you step near him.
You feel your chest grow tight with the rejection from your husband; he hasn't touched you since Pierre was born, and you know it was because your body was no longer its usual self. You nod your head in agreement and walk to your shared bedroom, thinking about what you should wear, but everything is either too form-fitting or shows off too much skin, and you can't even feel comfortable in your own skin. Why would you show it off?
You shower and try hard to make yourself somewhat.....sexy, trying hard to get your husband's attention back. You walk down the hall wearing only a robe since you need to breastfeed Pierre before you leave, but you freeze, hearing Charles's voice talking to someone on the phone.
"Nothing is where it is anymore; is that normal?" He asks the person, and you freeze, looking down at your chest. You knew that breastfeeding would change your breasts, but you didn't think that Charles would care so much about it enough to talk to someone over the phone about it.
"Yeah....but why can't it go back to normal? It's such a turnoff." He groans. Hearing that, you swallow back the tears and shake your head; walking into view, Charles turns and smiles at you brightly, acting like he is happy to see you. It was a slap to the face to see him putting on such an act when he was talking about you in such a way.
Picking up Pierre, you take him to his nursery, confusing Charles. You loved feeding Pierre in that little den corner, where the sun hit perfectly, and you could watch the sea and people below. He took a picture one day of you two together. It was the 2nd day home, and that's been his wallpaper for about 4 months. He loved that picture and used it to show this perfect family to fans and others.
The doorbell rings, and you come out wearing a loose dress that covers you but is still pretty; it is a gorgeous light purple color, and Charles wanted nothing more than to kiss you, but he knew you didn't want to be touched. Pierre comes through the door with a bunch of presents, making you laugh, and without thinking, you hug adult Pierre, causing Charles to stutter in his steps. His wife, who rejects his touches, is happier to touch someone else than him? He didn't know what to do.
"We should get going," Charles grumbles, patting his buddy on the back, who nods at him, and you list everything off, and how you pumped, and there was breastmilk in the fridge if he gets hungry. Pierre finally has to shove you out the door, Charles and you standing outside your home like you were strangers to one another. People who didn't even know each other or how to talk, you're married and have a baby together. Why would it be this way?
Walking to the restaurant, you keep your hands busy with your handbag, which would typically be wrapped in Charles's hands. But he kept his in the pockets of his suit jacket, both silent as you walked to the restaurant. You feel your breath leave when you come face to face with Brasserie du Cafe de Paris Monte-Carlo.
It was your first date, your first anniversary, where he proposed to you, and you had dinner as a married couple. Jesus Christ, you went here after discovering you were pregnant to celebrate. Was this another slap to your face? To shove how much you and your body have changed since you gave birth if it was, Charles was much crueler than you ever thought possible.
"Ahhh, Mr. and Mrs. Leclerc, seeing you back after the baby is a pleasure. How is the little one?" The head waiter asks, having seen your family grow right before his eyes. You both were perfect and an actual image of true love to him. But tonight, the couple in front of him was not the one he was used to; instead, it was almost like shells of the couple.
"He's doing wonderful, Benoit. Thank you for asking." You smile as he leads you to your favorite seat. It was the one overlooking the famous Monte Carlo casino, you loved this view, and Charles saw your old smile. He swore he could see the old memories playing across your eyes.
"Well, please enjoy," Benoit says, laying down the two menus and walking off but keeping a close eye on his favorite couple.
"I wouldn't drink wine." Charles cuts, making you look up, confusion on your face, and he clears his throat.
"You're still breastfeeding. Alcohol isn't wise while still doing it." He states, trying to start a conversation, but all it does is drive the knife deeper into your heart. Just another way for him to show off how he was a better parent than you.
You just hum in agreement, and Charles curses himself, knowing he just made things worse while trying to talk to you, his wife, the woman he loves more than life itself, and he can't even do that. You both order and sip on water while Charles sips on some old expensive liquor.
"Do you want a divorce?" You don't know why you blurted it out, but you did. Charles sucks his drink down and chokes on it. A sputter of coughs leaves his mouth while gently hitting his chest, trying to regulate his breaths.
"What?" He snarls, furious beyond means that you would even ask that.
"Do you want a divorce? Because clearly, you don't want me anymore." You lean back in your seat, refusing to even look at him.
"You ask me if I want a divorce, and you can't even look at me? Y/n." He hisses, anger and being scared shitless getting the best of him.
You turn and look at him, and his anger dies. Your eyes gave everything away, the hurt, sadness, rejections, everything was right there in front of him, but he was too wrapped up to notice how much you are hurting.
"Baby, Y/n. What's going on? You don't talk to me anymore or let me touch you, but you can touch other men. I have been patient with you; I know healing after birth takes a while, but....you just feel apart, and I'm trying hard to be strong for you, but I can't help you if we don't talk." He whispers, not wanting people to hear you.
"Am I a horrible mother? I ask myself that question all the time. Wanna know why? Because when I'm next to you or you tell me something, I feel like I'm a failure. I'm terrified that if I get too close to our gorgeous baby, the universe will just take him away, and I wake up every morning dreading the day it happens. What then, Charles?" Your throat tightens, trying hard not to cry in front of all these people.
Charles stares at you in shock before grabbing his drink and swallowing it now.
"Listen to me," He pleads and leans forward. "You...there is no one else in this entire world, fucking universe I would want to be Pierre's mother. You fought day and night to get him here, and he is. He's healthy and happy, and fuck, the way he looks at you like you're his whole world, is because you are. You're his mother; he loves you, feels protected by you, and craves to be near you. I know this because I have felt that same way every day since I met you. I married you and created a life with you because no one else could do it, and I would kill anyone who ever thought about taking you or Pierre away from me, Y/n." He whispers, tears forming in his eyes.
"You say all this but refuse to touch me, and I heard you earlier on the phone talking about how nothing is where it is anymore and how it's such a turnoff." You choke out, dabbing your eyes as the waiter brings you your food.
"Wha-" Charles clears his throat and looks at the waiter. "Thank you." The waiter scurries off, sensing the tension between you two. "Y/n, I was talking about my new steering wheel for the car." He explains, and you can't help the laughter that escapes your lips.
"What? Your damn steering wheel?" You curse, laughter getting louder while Charles rubs his temples.
"Yes, they moved all the buttons to different places. I was talking to one of the engineers. Putain." He curses, shaking his head.
"Then why won't....why won't you touch me anymore?' You whisper, cutting into your steak, mouth watering at the smell of spices and butter.
"You wouldn't touch me; I figured you didn't want to be.....intimate with you recovering, so this entire time, have we had one big misunderstanding?" He asks, cutting into his Lobster Bisque. You reflect on all your interactions and groan, nodding your head and making Charles chuckle.
"If being a parent was easy, love, the world would be perfect. It's not easy, and you know what? I want us to promise something." He bites into his food and nods at how it melts in his mouth, and you can't help but giggle at how he does that whenever he eats something he loves. He even did it to you for the first time; he went down on you. Still does.
"What's that, Char?" You ask, moving your free hand to grab his, and he smiles, lifting up and kissing your fingers.
"Once a month or whenever we feel we misunderstand each other, we breathe, sit, and talk. We can't keep this up. We have Pierre now, and maybe some...more in the future. We need to stay strong." Charles mumbles, kissing your wedding ring and then the palm of your hand.
"Char." You whisper, making your husband stare up at you, his thick lashes covering half of his eyes, giving those eyes that would make any woman naked.
"Check, please!" Charles yells, making you laugh and lean over, kissing him gently.
"Always be there for me?" You ask; glad to have this man in your life.
"Always." He whispers, unable to wait for the rest of his life with you.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'
Y/N couldn't keep count of the number of times she had heard this phrase being said during the past two years.Â
She prayed that people were right. That distance would make their relationship stronger, their time together more special, their appreciation for each other bigger.
She hoped her heart would mend every time he came back home but in all honesty, she just felt... lonely.

only a few more days and the torture is over, can't wait to kiss you again gorgeous, miss you đ§Ą
Y/N read Lando's text over and over again, daydreaming about their reunion after so long apart, as the driver had three races in a row at Spa, Zandvoort and Monza.
It didn't matter how many times Lando called or texted. How many times he expressed how much he missed her. How many times he said how excited he was to see her again.
In the end, it was exhausting spending her days simply waiting for him to be there.

Suddenly, the jingling of keys on the other side of the door caught her attention. Y/N turned towards the entrance where she saw the image of her boyfriend appear through the darkness of the night that filled the apartment.
Quickly getting back on her feet, the girl rushed to him, hugging the boy desperate to return to her arms. His body relaxed as soon as it made contact with hers and Lando let him pull her as close to him as possible.
"Fuck," Lando whispered against his girlfriend's forehead, whose tears of relief now streamed freely down her cheeks. "I can't believe I'm finally back home."
"God, I swear it was the worst weeks ever." The girl confessed, although it was common to be apart for a long time since her work did not allow her to follow him most of the time. "I've missed you so much, Lan. So much."
Grabbing her gently by the sides of her neck, the driver looked straight into her bright, tired eyes. "Me too, baby. But now we have two weeks to ourselves."
For a moment everything fell into place. But it was only a matter of time before it all came crashing down again.

After spending the night lying next to the boy she loved, Y/N couldn't control all the excitement she felt inside her chest.
Very early in the morning, the young woman got out of bed, leaving the sleeping man behind, and headed to the kitchen where she went all out to celebrate his first morning back in Monaco.
With the utmost care and love, she cooked just about everything: scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, you name it. And as soon as everything was ready, Y/N returned to the room and jumped on top of the British man, now awake on his phone.
"Good morning, sunshine!" The girl said, as she hugged his hips and laid her head on his stomach. "I made the best breakfast ever just for you, baby. So you better be hungry."Â
Her laughter was quickly interrupted by the boy's surprising coolness towards her. "Good morning, but I think I'll pass. I still feel super tired from the flight, so I'm going to stay in bed a little longer." Lando set his phone back on the bedside table and, running a hand over the top of her head as an act of apology, continued. "I hope you don't mind, love. It's just for today."
It's just for today, he said.
The next day, still under the wave of happiness, Y/N tried her luck again and decided to approach her boyfriend again to make plans, now that he was already feeling more energetic and recharged.
Lando spent the morning jumping around the house, so when Y/N saw him walk back into the room, she dropped to her knees in her seat, turned around and leaned on the back of the couch.
"Lan, what if we went out to dinner at that Thai place we went to last month?" She asked, her head turning slightly as she remembered their meal. "I swear I'm still thinking about that Pad Thai."
Lando continued his way to the kitchen, opening the fridge to get some water. "Hmm, maybe another time. Don't feel like going out."
And with only a few words, he disappeared again into another room of the house.
On day 3, the girl was caught off guard when she saw her boyfriend with a backpack on his back and his hand on the doorknob.
"Hey, where are you going?" She questioned, curious.
"Just going to the gym with Carlos." He replied, eyes on the phone in his other hand.
"I thought you were tired." She blurted out. At that moment, the persistent girl decided to be direct and confront him. "Is there something wrong? You've been so distant lately."
She had barely seen him even though the two of them shared the same house. It was getting embarrassing how much she tried to engage in conversation with him, only to get rejected every single time.
The driver just spat out a string of words, including 'busy with business' and 'training', but nothing soothed the uneasiness she felt in the pit of her stomach.
Baby boy, I think I've been too good of a girl
Did all the extra credit, then got graded on a curve
I think it's time to teach some lessons
I made you my world, have you heard?
I can reclaim the land
And I miss you
But I miss sparklin'
It just didn't make any sense.
What happened to the 'week to ourselves? To all the 'I miss you' and 'I can't wait to see you' he said?
It got to the point where she was even starting to question every time he told her he loved her.
A week passed, and in a last attempt, Y/N walked up to her boyfriend and placed her hands on his shoulders, placing a small kiss on his cheek.
"How about we watch a movie, cuddled a bit on the couch" She suggested, whispering close to his ear.
Lando placed a hand over one of his girlfriend's hands, looking back to meet her gaze. "Sorry babe, but I'm going to stream with the guys now. Maybe later."
Maybe another time. Maybe later.
She had been a little too kind and she was done playing nice.
It was time to teach him some lessons.
Best believe I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I could still say, "I don't remember"
Y/N entered her room and confidently walked to her closet. She knew exactly the garment she was looking for and as soon as she laid eyes on her shiny bejeweled dress, she picked it up.
Leaving the clothes she wore behind on the floor, she changed into the stunning dress and sat in front of her mirror, curling her hair and doing her makeup.
Her eyes ended up dark and smoky, perfectly adorning the determined and vengeful look on her face.
Grabbing her small Prada bag, Y/N walked to the room where Lando was already streaming, catching the driver's attention.
"Hey, I'm already live." He warned her, as he turned to see his girlfriend. Laying his eyes on his girlfriend all dressed up, a nervous shiver ran down his spine. "Where are you going looking all polished up?"
"Don't wait for me for dinner," She answered coldly, even though she knew the people in the comments were going to have a field day with this. "And by the way, I'm going out tonight."
Familiarity breeds contempt
Don't put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes
I polish up real, I polish up real nice
As soon as she walked into the room, she made the whole place stop with the shimmer of her dress under the spotlight.
If Lando wasn't going to give her the love and attention she deserved, she sure as hell was going to give it to herself.
Y/N was finally done with letting her worth be determined by a man, even if he was supposed to be the love of her life.
Sapphire tears on my face
Sadness became my whole sky
But some guy said my aura's moonstone
Just 'cause he was high
Walking towards the bar, the young woman couldn't help noticing the eyes that fell on the fascinating and beautiful image that she was.
At that moment, although she missed him and the good times of their relationship, she was reminded of how much she missed sparkling.
Y/N ordered two tequila shots and drank them without missing a second. She now felt prepared to start the night, leaving her problems behind.
Dancing as she made her way to the middle of the floor, the girl began to sway her hips to the music, between the hot bodies glued together in the room.
Tonight was all about her.
And we're dancin' all night
And you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What's a girl gonna do?
A diamond's gotta shine
Back home, Lando couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension and anxiety that gripped him.
As much as he tried to keep his good spirits and attention on his friends, his followers and the game, his mind was elsewhere:Â her.
His eyes roamed the chat as he interacted with some of his fans until one of them made his heart stop beating for a second.
teamlandofewtrell: have you guys seen Y/N photos clubbing? I smell trouble in paradise lol
The man cleared his throat, trying to maintain his posture. "Guys, I have to go now, but I'll see you very soon!"
Without further explanation, Lando grabbed his coat and the keys to his McLaren and headed towards her.
And as soon as he entered the club, he immediately found her.
The furious boy walked over to her, grabbed her arm and pulled her to a more sheltered corner, only to find her surprised and upset eyes.
"What the fuck were you thinking?!" He shouted over the music, unconcerned by prying ears. "First you make me look like an idiot on stream, then I find out you're alone in a club doing who knows what. Are you all right in the head, Y/N?!"
"You're worried now, are you?" The girl laughed sarcastically. "That's fucking rich."
"You have to be fucking kidding me. It has to be." Lando ran his restless hands through his hair nervously. "All because I didn't want to see a movie with you today? That's it?"
"Today, of course. The problem is from today." She continued her ironic tone. "You know what, Lando? It's about time you realized that just because I made you my world doesn't mean I can't claim the land."
Best believe I'm still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I could still say, "I don't remember"
Lando was shocked by her confrontational words, as it was a side she rarely showed.
"Stop this nonsense, Y/N." Lando snapped, gripping her arm with some force. "Let's go home now, and tomorrow we'll talk when you come to your senses."
Out of nowhere, a man approached the couple. "Hey, is everything okay here? Do you need some help, babe?" He asked her.
Y/N recognized him as the vocalist of the band that was performing when she first arrived at the scene.
"It's okay, thanks." She replied, freeing her arm from her boyfriend's hold and letting her burning eyes lay on Lando's face. "This man was about to leave."
"If you need to come with me, feel free to join, gorgeous." The singer said, looking her up and down. "Do you have a man? 'Cause if you don't, I sure could be yours for tonight."
Even though she was uninterested in the man's suggestive proposition, she couldn't pass up an opportunity to entice the driver. "I don't remember."
"She has a fucking man, now get the fuck off." Lando spoke out aggressively, having no patience left for her foolishness.
Familiarity breeds contempt
Don't put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes
I polish up real, I polish up real nice
"You have the nerve to show up here playing the role of the victim when all you did this whole week was ignore me," Y/N yelled, losing her mind. "Day after day, I made a fool of myself and tried to approach you, to make plans with you, to do the things I know you like to see if you would change your shitty attitude but nothing."
"From the second you arrived, the only thing I got from you was a cold shoulder and indifference. And honestly, I'm fed up, fed up with your behaviour when all I did was wait for you, all alone and miserable, while you fulfilled your dreams."
Lando remained glued to the ground, unable to move as he tried to assimilate all the angry words she spat in his direction.
"So if you have anything else to say to try and ruin my night, you might have to wait in line because I don't have the time to do so right now."
And we're dancin' all night
And you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What's a girl gonna do? What's a girl gonna do?
I polish up nice
Eyes to the floor in embarrassment, the driver gently grabbed her hand. "You're right, I'm so sorry, love."
"What?" She blurted out, not believing the sudden change in him.
"You're right, I've been an absolute prick to you lately," The boy looked into her eyes, his gaze filled with regret and sorrow. "Those last three weeks weren't just bad because I was away from you. It was bad news after bad news and I just ended up taking it out on you unfairly."
"Lan, you know you can talk to me about anything." She softened and stroked his hand. "What's wrong?"
"Everything, honestly." He sighed, saddened. "The car is shit most of the time, I can't seem to get out of 7th place ever, Danny is leaving the team next season and, as if it couldn't get any worse, I spent all weekend getting asked about it like I had some power over the matter."
Y/N knew her partner was feeling especially down over losing yet again another teammate he really cared about, so Lando's anguish came as no surprise.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, really." Lando apologized again. "You didn't deserve all of this."
"Baby, I'm here for you. Always. Through thick and thin." Y/N brought her lips to his, letting her hands grip his curly hair as she leaned into his kiss. "Let's have some fun, dance a little, and make up for lost time, what do you think?"
"Lead the way, gorgeous." Lando kissed her again before she led him to the centre of the floor.
Gathered in their bubble of love again, Y/N, who once shone like a jewel, now shone like a true diamond with the light of her life reflecting on her side.

Summer went away, still, the yearning stays
I play it cool with the best of them
I wait patiently, he's gonna notice me
It's okay, we're the best of friends
Anyway
For as long as Y/N could remember, she had been completely and madly in love with her best friend.
Pierre and Y/N became an inseparable duo from the moment they met as two little kids trying out for their primary school's football team.
At the time, the other boys tried to make fun of the little girl for wanting to be a part of a "boys' sport", as they called it. Being the only girl there, she was made the target of all the bullying, but when she was about to give in and give up, her hero appeared in the form of 6-year-old Pierre who defended her with everything he had.
Y/N looked at the tiny French boy with wide, sparkling eyes as he took her hand and gave it a little squeeze so she wouldn't feel alone.
From there, the two immediately became best friends and that's how they stayed throughout the years.
But at some point in time, the girl found herself getting butterflies when she was in Pierre's presence, imagining what it would be like to have his lips against hers, idealizing a life where the two would be together as more than just friends.
It was inevitable. Pierre emanated such a powerful energy that it consumed her head and dominated all her senses.
He was like a drug: addictive, impossible to give up and she depended on him for survival - almost as if he was oxygen.
And so it was with so many other girls, victims of the driver's charm, although his playboy fame followed him everywhere since he was a teenager.
And it hurt. It hurt too much.
All those years, Y/N had no choice but to fake a smile and nod as she listened to the Frenchman brag about all his latest conquests, all the models, actresses and singers he got involved with all over the world.Â
She had no choice but to wait patiently for him to notice her and for him to finally see them as more than the best of friends.
I hear it in your voice, you're smoking with your boys
I touch my phone as if it's your face
I didn't choose this town, I dream of getting out
There's just one who could make me stay
All my days
To be honest, Y/N was already starting to accept that nothing would ever happen between them.
So, the girl chose to distance herself from her friend a little, in an attempt to let her romantic feelings for him fade over time.
She used every excuse in the book to avoid him: I'm tired, I have other plans, I'm working late, I'm sick, I had a family emergency. All of the excuses in the world were used.
Until the day when there were no more excuses and she ended up having to give in, arranging a movie night with the man, as they frequently did over their friendship of nearly two decades.
Y/N arrived at Pierre's luxury apartment in Milan on time as she always did. For a second, she hesitated to knock on the door, letting her anxiety take over, and almost decided to flee in the opposite direction. But as if the driver read her thoughts, the Frenchman appeared from inside his house, seeing his best friend, frozen on top of his black 'welcome' mat.
"Hey! I thought I heard someone coming!" Pierre said excitedly as he gave the girl a short hug. "What are you waiting for? Come in, make yourself comfortable!"
Y/N took off her long coat, hanging it on the coat rack in the hallway, and followed Pierre into his living room, where she saw everything prepared for their movie session. Pillows scattered across the living room floor, two warm blankets crumpled on the couch and two buckets full of popcorn, the smell of which had entered her nose from the moment she set foot inside the apartment.
The familiar image of the boy sitting on his soft carpet made her body relax, and she took the seat next to him while he searched for a movie on his Netflix account. After the two agreed to watch a horror movie, both of them big fans of the genre, the two leaned back against the bottom of the sofa and directed their attention to the screen.
The minutes passed and the two remained in a comfortable silence, commenting from time to time on some of the moments in the film.Â
Pierre was now closer to the girl's side and the heat he radiated seemed to almost burn her with the tension that appeared to have settled in her room.
Out of nowhere, Y/N felt something cold on her thigh and thought she was daydreaming when she realized it was her best friend's hand. The girl didn't react, fearing that the words coming out of her mouth would be the wrong ones.
She couldn't help but notice how the driver seemed to be studying her every move, out of the corner of his eye, like a predator looking for prey to attack.Â
It was a look she had seen on his face more times than she could count. But never directed at her.
His hand began to move slowly up her soft thigh towards the warm spot between her legs, testing the waters and seeing how far she allowed him to go. His calculated movement was stopped abruptly when she caught his wrist before he reached his intended destination.
"Pierre, what are you doing?" Y/N asked, turning her flushed face towards him.
The boy was mere inches away from her, a smirk plastered across his face and without any sign of regret or embarrassment at having been caught making his risky move. "Y/N, don't lie to me. I've seen the way you look at me. The way your eyes react when they see me approaching you, when you see me with other girls, or when you see me shirtless." He grinned at her, shamelessly.
The girl remained silent, no words daring to be uttered, and she gasped as his hand returned to its former place on the top of her thigh. The Frenchman narrowed the space between them even more, letting his lips brush over hers.
"Come on, Y/N. I can feel how much you want this, want me right now." The man spoke, his fingers now playing with the elastic of her underwear, threatening to act on his desire. "Don't think too much about it. Just live in the moment and act without thinking about the consequences."
Those words were enough to make her head turn off, completely losing her rationality.
Filled with lust, Y/N acted without thinking and kissed Pierre urgently, as if she feared the moment would end at any moment.
With tongues fighting passionately, touches exploring the curves and details of each others' bodies, and clothes scattered carelessly around the room, the two allowed themselves to enter a new level of intimacy.
And the young woman's heart looked like it could explode at any moment with how full it felt, finally having the boy she craved for so long in her arms.
From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes
I waited ages to see you there
I search the party of better bodies
Just to learn that you never cared
The next day, Y/N woke up with the sun's rays coming through the half-open window of a room that she recognized immediately as Pierre's bedroom.
Though she had never woken up in that room like this before: naked, with only the sheets covering her body, and with a satisfying ache between her legs that she hadn't felt in a long time.
Although the driver was nowhere to be seen, a goofy smile appeared on her face, and she brought her hands to her face to cover it up. She let out a silent little scream as she remembered the wonderful hours she'd spent the night before, her exploring Pierre's body, Pierre exploring hers.
Finally, things were going to change.Â
She finally got the boy she wanted all those agonizing years.
Grabbing a used tracksuit of his that was lying on a chair and a pair of clean boxers from his drawer, the girl got dressed and headed to the kitchen, where she found her lover leaning against one of his kitchen counters, concentrated on the phone in his hand while drinking some coffee.
"Well, good morning!" Y/N said, almost humming with so much happiness filling her as she approached the driver.
"Hey." He replied, short and dry, making the young woman stop in her tracks, dumbfounded by his carefree attitude.
"Did you sleep well today...?" She tried to test the waters to see if it was just her being dramatic and misunderstanding his response.
"Yeah, sure." Pierre spoke again, without returning the question and without taking his eyes off the small screen of his iPhone as he drank a bit more of his coffee.
Nervousness began to replace all the bliss that previously consumed the girl. It was almost as if he never cared, not even after all she gave him the night before. "Is there something wrong, Pierre?" She questioned, clutching the bottom of the hoodie she was wearing in an attempt to hide her uneasiness.
You're on your own, kid
You always have been
"No, sorry. I'm just trying to arrange something here." He replied, more friendly, though he still hadn't even looked at her since Y/N walked into the kitchen.
"What are you planning?" The girl asked, trying everything to strike up a conversation with him. Her heart was beating wildly at that point, and it seemed to crack more and more with each beat.
"Just this lunch thing with a girl I've been talking to for a few weeks." His shoulders shrugged as if his words hadn't pushed Y/N to her limits.
She couldn't explain how hurt she felt. How dirty and used he, of all people, made her feel.
How could he? Her best friend. The person who had been by her side for years. The man she would do anything for.
After suffering in silence for years afraid to act on her feelings, this was her pay for taking a risk once in her life: becoming just another silly girl in Pierre Gasly's long list of lovers.
Just another conquest, another achievement, undeserving of the driver's concern and care, with zero distinction from all others.
"Look, I'm in a hurry. I really have to go, Y/N." He informed her just as he started to walk hurriedly towards the exit, placing a quick kiss on her temple.
As if those same lips hadn't been glued to hers, clinging to every surface of the girl's body just hours before.
"You know the way! Just let yourself out. See you later!" He yelled, leaving the girl stunned, tears streaming from her eyes, as she heard the apartment door close loudly.
I see the great escape, so long, Daisy May
I picked the petals, he loves me not
Something different bloomed, writing in my room
I play my songs in the parking lot
I'll run away
A couple of days later, Y/N found herself sitting in her condo's parking lot one night, balling her eyes out while she played the songs of her favourite artist.
She couldn't believe that her best friend had used her body and taken advantage of her feelings for him. And to make matters worse, the girl has received nothing but silence from Pierre's side since that morning in his apartment.
Left alone with her own confused thoughts, Y/N's head was spinning. She didn't know what to do, what to think, or what to say.
I just want to get out of Milan and go home, she repeated over and over again.
Y/N had never chosen that town.
The young woman remembered every detail of the day when Pierre announced he was going to move to Italy, leaving France.
A life without Pierre was unimaginable for the girl. She couldn't remember a single day when she didn't know him, when she didn't have his presence in her life.
Feeling trapped, with no other option, she simply packed her bags and went with him.
She couldn't help but think what a huge mistake it had been to come after him, especially when he didn't seem to care about having her there at all.
Y/N picked up her phone, preparing to turn off the music that was blaring through the car to return home, but she was stopped by the sight of the image that decorated her lock screen.
It was from last year. Pierre and Y/N were wearing their ugly Christmas sweaters - like they did every year as a silly tradition - cuddled up on the couch in his parents' house. The lights from the tree reflected on them, creating a magical atmosphere around the two friends.
The girl affectionately touched her phone, as if it were his face.Â
Although the idea of returning to France had been hovering in her head for a while, she knew that she couldn't decide to leave without talking to him first.
After all, he was the only one who could make her stay.
From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes
I called a taxi to take me there
I search the party of better bodies
Just to learn that my dreams aren't rare
As tears continued to pool in her sad eyes, Y/N opted to get out of her car, assuring that it was safely locked, and called a taxi to take her to the boy's house, since she wasn't in any condition to drive.
The drive was silent and short, just the typical 15 minutes it took her every time. The girl got out of the car, thanked the driver, and began to walk hurriedly towards the building. Her step was uneven and fast, revealing the girl's erratic and desperate state.
Y/N walked through the door of the building, politely greeting the doorman, and continued on her way towards the elevator.
She was only inside for a few minutes until she reached Pierre's floor, being immediately surprised by the loud sound of music coming from the door of the familiar apartment.
He's having a party, and he hasn't even invited me, she thought to herself.
While she suffered from his absence, Pierre was surrounded by anything but silence.
You're on your own, kid
You always have been
Y/N gained some courage and rang the doorbell, although she was afraid that no one would hear the sound in between the noise coming from the apartment's speakers.
However, seconds later, the driver appeared at the door, wide-eyed at the sight of his friend.
"Hey! Y/N!" Pierre smiled at her, without any sign that he had stopped to think about her during the days that had passed since the night of desire between the two of them. "I wasn't expecting you, come in!"
"Hmm..." The girl hesitantly entered the house and tried to pretend that everything was fine, not wanting to ruin the party. "I was nearby and decided to stop by."
"Oh, good!" Pierre replied, bringing his hand to the back of his neck as his eyes roamed the party full of other bodies. "We're just having a last-minute thing. You know, just a spontaneous hangout." He chuckled, clearly looking to get back to what he was doing before heading to the door.
"Yes, of course, Pierre 'spontaneous' Gasly." Y/N joked, in an attempt to break the tense atmosphere between the two. However, she only received the disinterest of Pierre, who clearly didn't find the joke funny.
"Look, I have to go. I was in the middle of something," Pierre looked back at her, pointing towards a person she immediately recognized. "But Charles is over there with Joris! You can go to them. We'll talk later, okay?"
Without even waiting for her answer, the Frenchman left. The girl's teary eyes followed his image until she saw him returning to his dark couch, where three gorgeous women were waiting for the driver, with hungry eyes on their faces.
The same fucking couch where he'd explored her body, millimetre by millimetre, marking her skin with his touch, days before.
"You know how he gets when he is hosting a party." Charles said, approaching the young woman when he noticed her presence alone in the room.
She shrugged, discreetly wiping the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. "Yeah, well, my presence was always pointless here for him anyway."
Y/N turned to the Monegasque driver and hugged him tight, longer than usual. The man was caught off guard, taking a few seconds to return his longtime friend's hug, but he did so.
Charles couldn't help feeling that that hug meant something more to the girl, but he chose not to question it since it was apparent in her hurt look that something else was going on and he didn't want to intrude.
Y/N placed a friendly kiss on the boy's cheek, letting her hand rest on his cheek. Her gaze locked with his eyes and he swore he saw a tear fall down her cheek.
"Goodbye Charles." She forced a smile. "I will talk to you later, I love you." Y/N turned her back to her friend and walked out the door, without allowing the driver to respond.
Charles couldn't shake the feeling that this 'goodbye' wasn't just a 'see you later', but, blaming it on alcohol and his imagination, he returned to the party, without giving the matter any further thought.
From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes
I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this
I hosted parties and starved my body
Like I'd be saved by a perfect kiss
In a hurry and with tears flowing freely down her face, the girl returned home and placed all her belongings in suitcases and bags, without any care.
And with that, Y/N ran up and down the stairs of the building where she lived towards her car, filling the trunk and the back seats of the vehicle with everything she had in her small house.
For one last time, Y/N looked at the now lifeless apartment where she lived for the last few years and her heart felt tight, unable to hide the nostalgia that that place was going to leave her with.
She might not have been the happiest there in Milan, but her home had always been her refuge.
However, it was time for her to turn the page, burn the bridge, and finally return to her true home.
Sitting in the car, she took a deep breath and began her long, impulsive journey back to France. It was completely insane trying to make a trip lasting more than 10 hours, especially at that time of night, but the girl simply couldn't bear to stay there another minute.
When the sun started to reappear in the sky, illuminating the endless road with its orange and pink tones, Y/N realized that he hadn't stopped yet and decided to park at one of the available stations to rest.
However, the heartache and the feeling of betrayal still crushed her soul, so she sought refuge in the words of her best friend, CĂŠline, who would certainly welcome her when she reached her destination.
"Y/N? Is everything okay?" Her sleepy tone soon revealed that she had been awakened by the call.
"I'm coming home, CÊl." Y/N informed, sniffling her nose. "I gave my blood, sweat and tears for this. I gave it my all but I just couldn't take it anymore."
"What?" Y/N could hear the sound of the sheets and mattress moving on the other end of the line, imagining CĂŠline suddenly sitting up on her bed. "Home? As in France? I don't understand, what happened? Talk to me."
"I'm just a dumb girl who thought the guy she loved for years was going to be her prince charming, coming to save her the perfect kiss." The young woman sobbed, with her hand covering her mouth in an attempt to hide the noise. "Instead, I was just treated like a fucking toy. He didn't even care to know how I felt after he slept with me."
"What? You and Pierre?" His friend questioned, shocked. "Oh my god, I never thought he would be capable of doing this to you. I don't even know what to say."
The two friends stayed for a long time talking, CĂŠline being her usual attentive friend and listening to Y/N's outburst without interrupting her.
"Don't worry, girl. I'll be here with open arms to welcome you home." CĂŠl tried to comfort her friend, making the girl in the car thank her for everything.
Y/N had no reason to be afraid when the people who really cared about her were waiting for her where she truly belonged.
The jokes weren't funny, I took the money
My friends from home don't know what to say
I looked around in a blood-soaked gown
And I saw something they can't take away
The days passed and Pierre went on with his life as normal, not even noticing the girl's absence until Charles asked him about it.
The two were playing FIFA on their PlayStations when the Monegasque spoke. "Pierre, have you heard from Y/N lately?"
The Frenchman felt a wave of shock hit him as he realized he hadn't seen or heard from her since the night of the party when he'd rudely dismissed her.
"I don't know, mate... When I talked to her at the party, she didn't seem right." Charles expressed his concerns. "I've tried texting her, calling her. She doesn't answer me."
"It's probably not a big deal. She's probably just busy with something." Pierre pretended to be unconcerned, trying to convince himself more than his friend that it was just a misunderstanding.
"No, Pierre. You don't understand." The Monegasque insisted, persistent in solving the mystery. "When she said goodbye to me that night... I felt like it was goodbye, a real goodbye."
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
The word echoed in Pierre's head and regret filled him from head to toe, as he rose abruptly from the sofa.
"I have to go, Charles."
'Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned
Everything you lose is a step you take
So, make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it
You've got no reason to be afraid
You're on your own, kid
Yeah, you can face this
The driver knocked insistently on the girl's door, almost as if his life depended on it.
"Y/N, please! Open the door!" Fists clenched against the wood, he begged for a chance to apologize.
Pierre knew now that he had acted wrongly with her.
For letting his desire for some release come between them. For using his friend for a night of passion when she was the most important person in his life. For giving her just something fleeting, something ephemeral when she deserved the world at her feet.
For ignoring the girl the morning after the best night in his life. For avoiding her the next few days when he should have run to her and confessed his feelings. For taking the easy way out and looking for comfort in other bodies when the only one he wanted by his side was her.
Pierre gave up knocking and let his back hit the door, sitting on the step. "I'm sorry. For everything. I beg you, give me a chance to tell you everything I should have said ages ago."
"Sorry, but are you looking for Y/N?" An old voice spoke, making the Frenchman look up at the person. "She doesn't live here anymore, young man."
"W- What- What do you mean?" Pierre stammered, feeling like he'd been doused in cold water.
"She left the apartment a few days ago. The landlord is already looking for someone to rent the place." The elderly lady informed him, setting down the groceries she was holding on the floor.
It was too late, he thought. I lost her, forever.
She approached him, placing a hand gently on the boy's shoulder, who now had his head between his hands.

Your eyes searched for Charles who was standing next to his team members. The sadeness on his face was visible to anyone. He drove a fantastic race, the degradation killing his tyres in the end causing him to make a small mistake which led to a 5 second penalty.
I love your leclerc a sister stories. Do you think you could do something possibly were maybe the reader has diabeties or something similar and she is not very well at the race weekend so her brothers have to look after her, or something along these lines. Thank you

Charles and Joris were sitting in front of the computer, going over the pictures the photographer had taken of his friend. ''I really like this one.'' The Ferrari driver pointed out a specific photo.Â
''You want it like this or in black and white?'' Joris asked, his hand ready on the computer mouse to potentially change the filter.Â
''In color is good.'' Charles confirmed.Â
Their search was interrupted when the ringtone of Charles' phone started playing, making both of them flinch at the sudden sound. ''Oh, it's my mum- excuse me.'' He got up from his chair and walked into the next room for a bit more privacy.Â
''Hello, ça va?'' Charles greeted his mother.Â
''Hi, honey,'' his mother sighed, ''would you be able to pick your sister up from school right now? She's not well and I'm stuck at work.''Â
Charles frowned listening to her. ''Uh, yeah, I can pick her up. Is she okay, though?'' He asked her, concerned about his younger sibling.Â
''They think she has a fever- it was during P.E. that they noticed something was wrong.'' His mother sounded worried on the other side of the phone, making him more worried as well.Â
He walked back into the living room, grabbing his coat. ''I'm leaving now, okay? I'll call you when I've picked her up.'' Charles assured her.Â
''Thank you, honey,'' Pascale seemed more relieved knowing her son was on his way, ''I'll come home as soon as I can, promise.''Â
''Great, bye bye!'' Charles hung up the phone and turned towards Joris. ''Sorry mate, I have to pick up my sister and take her home, but I'll text you and we'll continue later.'' He told his friend, walking to the hallway to put on his shoes.Â
''It's okay, I hope she's alright.'' Joris brushed it off, he knows how much his sister means to him.Â
Charles smiled. ''Again, sorry mate! See you!'' The driver waved one last time and he was out the door, getting to his car as quickly as possible. Charles lowkey regretted taking his custom Ferrari car as he knew it would catch people's attention and he didn't want his sister feeling uncomfortable with all the eyes on them, especially if she was sick.Â
The drive from Joris' apartment to Y/N's school was barely 5 minutes, so Charles quickly pulled up to the building. It momentarily brought him back to his own times as a student, but quickly brushed them off. He was there for his sister, not for his own nostalgia.Â
He walked up to the entrance door and rang the bell, not able to just walk into the building. He didn't have to wait long as the buzzer went off a few seconds after, allowing him to enter.Â
The secretary seemed surprised to see the man instead of the girl's mother, but she showed him where he could wait while she called the teacher that would bring his sister. Charles patiently waited, texting his mother that he had arrived at her school.Â
''Mr. Leclerc?'' He looked up from his phone, seeing a teacher standing in the doorway.Â
''Yes?''Â
The man fully opened the door and the young girl walked into the waiting area, not looking well whatsoever. Charles immediately stood up from his chair and strutted over to her, cupping her cheeks. ''Ăa va, chĂŠrie?''Â
Y/N shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes at the sight of her older brother. ''I don't feel good.'' Her words came out small, making Charles wrap his arms around her for comfort.Â
''It's okay, it's okay.'' He mumbled into her hair, trying to console her.Â
The teacher next to them scratched his voice.''Here's her bag,'' he handed it over to Charles, ''rest well and I hope you feel better soon, Y/N.'' He glanced at the girl in her brother's arms, who tried her best to force a smile and mumbled a small ''Thank you.''Â
''Come on.'' Charles grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the entrance door again, bidding goodbye to the teacher and secretary.
He helped his sister get in his car and even buckled up her seatbelt. Charles drove out of the school's parking lot and they were on their way home. ''What happened?'' He asked her.Â
''I don't know, suddenly I felt very dizzy and sick during P.E. and my teacher said that my head felt very warm, and then they called mum, and then they said that it's better if I went home.'' She explained the events of the day, leaning her head against the seat.Â
Charles nodded as he listened to her words. ''It's probably a fever,'' he put his hand on her forehead, ''yeah, rest for a few days and then you'll feel better.''Â
''Yeah, she's lying down now⌠she looks very tired⌠yes, it's a fever, I checked her temperature⌠I'll make her something⌠okay, I'll do that⌠I'll tell her⌠bye, mum⌠bye bye!'' Charles hung up the phone and joined his sister on the couch.Â
''Mum will be here soon, she just has a few more clients left.'' He told her, caressing her hair. Y/N timidly nodded, almost having no energy to form a coherent reply. ''Are you feeling a bit better?''Â
She shrugged her shoulders. ''I don't know, I feel the same.''Â
''You want some soup or something?'' He asked her, thinking of what he could cook for her.Â
''Yeah, soup is good.'' Charles was about to stand up, but the arm of his sister stopped him from getting up from the couch. He gave her a confused look. ''What?''Â
''Don't leave yet, Charlie.'' She mumbled, her voice coming out very small.Â
Her brother chuckled, finding it cute. ''I'm just going to the kitchen, I'll be right back.''Â
''But once mum gets here, you're leaving again and I won't see you for weeks.'' Y/N argued, not making eye-contact with him.Â
Charles frowned this time, the feeling of guilt creeping up on him. ''What do you mean?''Â
''Sometimes I don't see you for a few weeks, because of racing and I understand that, it's your job,'' she explained, ''but even when you're back home, I almost never see you. You're either training, with your girlfriend, with your friends or you're doing some stupid social media things. They always get to see you when you're not racing, I get the 5 minute visit when you're passing through.''Â
He watches his sister with sad eyes, knowing that she was right and that he hadn't been spending as much time with her as he could. ''I'm sorry that I haven't been the best brother, I'll come over more, okay? I didn't realize that we haven't spent that much time together lately.''Â
''It's okay, I'm not angry at you,'' Y/N smiled at him, ''I just get sad when I see you're in Monaco on your Insta or something, and we haven't hung out.''Â
''We'll go do something after the next race, just you and me.'' Charles promised her, giving her a hug which she happily reciprocated. ''Okay, that's nice.''Â
''Can you make my soup now? I'm waiting.'' The moodswing amused him, her sentimentality turning into impatience.Â
Charles stood up from the couch and saluted her like a soldier. ''Yes, chef!''

''SCREW THAT FUCKING CARROT ON WHEELS! OH MY GOD!'' Were the words that Y/N's team heard through their headphones as Daniel took her out of the race.
She let out a big sigh as her car came to a halt, disappointed that no points would be earned this racing weekend. Y/N felt a throbbing pain on her nail that caused her to hiss, she took off her gloves and saw blood around the nail of her ring finger.
''The idiot broke my nail!'' She exclaimed, garnering laughter from her engineer and commentators as her radio message was replayed on television.
She disconnected her steering wheel and stepped out of the cockpit, too much damage to continue her race. A bit further from where she was, Daniel also got out of his car.
The Australian noticed the young woman and did a thumbs up, asking her if she's alright.
Instead of copying his action to let him know she's okay, she held up her middle finger. Daniel simply laughed, no taking offense as he knew she was joking around with him.
He waited for her by his car, ready to apologize. ''Danny! You broke my nail!'' Y/N latched onto her throbbing nail, trying to reduce the pain even if it was just a little bit. She held up her hand to his face, giving him a close-up.
He grabbed her wrist, inspecting the bloody nail. ''I'm so sorry, does it hurt a lot?'' Daniel felt guilty. He hadn't meant to take her out of the race, he dodged out of the way for someone else and accidentally touched her car from behind.
''It hurts like a bitch! Oh, I just got them done this week.'' She groaned, trying to put more pressure on her fingernail.
The McLaren driver put his hand on the side of her helmet as if it was her cheek. ''I'm really sorry, love. Kevin was gonna hit me and I got out of the way.'' He explained his action.
''I'm honestly more concerned about my nail than the race, Danny.'' Y/N laughed it off, she wouldn't have ended up on the podium anyway. The two walked back to the paddock, being scurried off by the marshals.
Daniel offered her a smile, one that wasn't visible because of his helmet. ''If there's anything I can do to help with your nail, I'll do it.'' He easily took the helmet off of his head, figuring that being able to see his face would make his words more personal.
Meanwhile, Y/N had more trouble taking hers off as her nail was still hurting and she couldn't use her full strength. ''Can you help take off my helmet? It's hard with my nail.'' She asked him, tapping his arm.
''Of course.'' Daniel moved in front of her and used both of his hands to grab the sides of her helmet. Instead of gliding off easily like usual, her head seemed stuck and Daniel was almost lifting her from the ground. ''Oh my god, my helmet! Not my head!'' She exclaimed, grabbing Daniel's arms to stop him from helping.
The Australian looked down and noticed her standing on her tippy toes, making him giggle and he pulled his hands back. ''I think your head's too big, Y/N.'' He teased her, patting the top of the helmet.
''And your ego's too big, but you don't see me complaining, Ricciardo.''
''Alright, missy.''
''I don't know how I even ended up here.''
After the race, Heidi, Daniel's girlfriend, had suggested to Y/N that she and her would get their nails re-done together, sponsored by the Honey Badger himself. The female driver had found it a great idea, looking forward to spending time with Heidi as they had never really hung out with just the two of them.
However, Heidi fell sick and wasn't able to make it anymore to their little manicure date. At first they texted back and forth, planning to reschedule it, but Heidi had a proposal: that Daniel joins Y/N at the salon.
The young woman wasn't too sure about it, not because she didn't want to spend alone time with Daniel, but because she didn't want it to come across that she wanted to have something romantic with the older driver. Fortunately, Heidi was able to assure her that she didn't mind and that she wouldn't suggest it if she didn't have full trust in either of them. So, here the two Formula One drivers were in a beauty salon in Monza.
''You broke my nail, that's what happened.'' She replied in a sarcastic tone.
While Y/N got her nails re-done, Daniel opted for a facial as he claimed his nails were ''decent for a 33 year-old man''. They had charmed the specialists into putting them into the same room, so they could talk with one another.
Daniel wanted to laugh, but the woman spreading all kinds of creams on his face prevented him from doing that. ''Hey, I'm making it up to you, aren't I?''
''Yeah, you are,'' Y/N smiled, watching him getting his facial treatment, ''anyway, now that it's just the two of us- I have a question for you.''
Daniel raised his eyebrows, intrigued by her words. ''Go onâŚ''

It had been Arthur's idea to invite his family to his apartment in Italy, wanting to show off his newfound independence. Pascale, Charles and Y/N would spend a few days there before going back home to Monte Carlo. Lorenzo couldn't make it due to work obligations, but he would join them another time.
The youngest Leclerc was having a great time, apart from having to share a room with Charles as Arthur didn't have enough space for everyone to sleep individually.
It was mid day when the doorbell rang, confusing Arthur as he wasn't expecting anyone to come over. Charles and his mum were watching tv and his sister was doing whatever girls do alone in their room.
He opened the door and was surprised when he saw Ollie, his teammate. The pair had gotten along well ever since the young Brit had joined Prema and the Ferrari Driver Academy. Ollie isn't allowed to have a driver's license yet, so Arthur would often bring him to places around Maranello.
''Ollie! Hey, how are you?'' Arthur greeted him, a bit taken aback by the sudden appearance. His teammate nervously smiled. ''I'm good, mate! You?''
''Me too, thanks,'' the MonĂŠgasque noticed Ollie wasn't wearing his usual Ferrari shirt and had replaced it with a black hoodie, ''so, uh, is everything alright? I don't think we made plans or anything?'' Arthur hoped he hadn't forgotten anything important.
''Oh, uh, I'm actually here for-''
''Ollie, darling, come on in!'' Pascale interrupted the youngster, appearing from behind Arthur and urging him to enter the apartment. Arthur's confusion grew with each second passing, but he moved to the side to let Ollie in.
Charles stood up from the couch as their new guest walked in, just as puzzled as his little brother. He approached the Brit and shook his hand. ''Hi, I'm Charles. Nice to see you.''
''Nice to meet you, I'm Ollie.'' He quickly responded, hoping his sweaty palms didn't bother the Ferrari driver too much.
''Ollie, you want something to drink?'' Pascale offered him, pointing her finger in the direction of the kitchen. ''Oh, I'm alright, but thank you.'' He politely declined.
''Arthur, go and see if your sister's ready yet.''
''Ready for what?''
''Just go check on her.'' Pascale lightly pushed him to his guest room where his sister resided.
He gave everyone a weird glance, but he listened to his mother's orders nevertheless. Arthur walked quickly as he wanted to get answers as fast as possible since the reason for Ollie's appearance at his house was still a mystery.
He knocked on the door, waiting for his sister to give her consent to let him in. ''Who is it?'' He heard her question.
''Arthur.''
''Go away.''
Just like always, he ignored his sister's words and walked into the room anyway. She was spraying some perfume as she saw her brother enter, making her roll her eyes. ''I said go away.''
''Mum asked me to check if you were ready yet,'' he explained his presence, observing his sister as she paced around the room, ''wait- did you put on makeup?'' Arthur frowned, her face looked a bit different than usual.
''Yeah, so?'' Y/N bit back, not in the mood to be teased.
Arthur shrugged his shoulders. ''You want to look pretty for someone?'' Despite noticing his sister wasn't in a joking mood, he opted to tease her anyway.
''What's wrong with you?'' She groaned.
''What's wrong with you, blablaâŚ'' Arthur repeated her words, copying her tone in an overdramatized way.
''Maman!'' Y/N yelled, receiving a push from her older brother. ''Okay, sorry!'' He didn't want their mother to come all the way down there.
It was as if seeing his sister all dolled up switched a gear in his head, it made everything clear. ''Hold on- Ollie is here⌠you're wearing makeup⌠mum asked me to see if you were ready⌠you're not going on a date with him are you?''
''That single brain cell of yours is doing a lot of work right now, Thur.'' Y/N grabbed her handbag and walked out of the guest room, Arthur closely following her.
Ollie had set himself down on one of the chairs as Pascale kept insisting he made himself comfortable, but as soon as the Leclerc girl walked into the room, he stood up. ''Hey, Y/N.''
''Hi, Ollie.'' She blushed, the Brit having an effect on her that made the young girl all giddy inside.
''Alright, have fun you two,'' Pascale motioned for the pair to get going, ''be smart.'' She kissed Y/N's cheek, bidding her daughter goodbye.
''I know, bye.''
She waited until they were out of the door before returning to the living room, where she found her two sons still standing in the same place as earlier. ''Everything okay?''
''When were you gonna tell us our sister has a boyfriend?'' Charles asked, offended that their mother would keep such information to herself and not share it with them. ''And that it's my teammate?'' Arthur added, pointing at himself.
Pascale chuckled, amused by their cluelessness. ''Ollie is not her boyfriend, but they've been on a few dates with each other and she's been really enjoying it.'' She explained to them, a genuine smile on her face.
''She's only 17 years-old, she can't have a boyfriend.'' Arthur argued, cringing as the words left his mouth. ''Okay, she can have a boyfriend, but why does it have to be him?'' He quickly changed his mind.
''What's wrong with Ollie? He's a nice young man and his parents are very good people.'' Their mother defended the Brit, confused as to why Arthur didn't want him as his sister's boyfriend.
Arthur sighed. ''Cause I race against him! What if they get together and then they break up or something? He might push me off the track! Or what if he hurts her? Then I'll kill him on the track.'' The man clarified his disdain for Ollie dating his younger sister.
''You're not killing anyone on track, okay? They're just going on dates, you're overthinking everything.'' Charles calmed him down. He wasn't too keen on his baby sister dating a driver, but he wasn't thinking like Arthur.
''I'm more offended that she didn't tell me anything, how long has this been going on?'' Charles continued, glancing at his mum.
Pascale thought for a few moments. ''A few months, with his racing and her school they can't meet that often.'' She answered.
''MONTHS?!'' Both of the Leclerc brothers chorused, absolutely shocked this wasn't something recent. ''What do you mean months? You're telling me this guy has been trying to get into my sister's pants for months and I didn't know about it?'' Arthur said, flabbergasted.
Pascale scoldingly hit his arm. ''Keep that language to yourself, Arthur! Y/N asked me to not tell anyone until she knew it was a bit more serious between them,'' she told the two of them, ''I don't want any of that negative energy around her, okay? She's always been supportive of whoever you two are dating and you're gonna do the same for her, understand?'' Pascale held a stern look on her face.
Their mother's scolding brought them back to earth. She was right, whether they liked their sister dating a driver or not, they had to support her, just like she has been supporting them.
''You're right, mum. We're gonna be supportive.'' Charles confirmed to her, giving her a hug. They both glimpsed at Arthur, who sighed but eventually joined their embrace. ''Okay, but if he breaks her heart, I'll just lightly touch him with my car.''
Y/N arrived home hours later, right in time for dinner. Both Arthur and Charles weren't home as they were called in to go to the Scuderia Ferrari home for either some meetings or simulation work. It was late in the night when they arrived home.
She was already falling asleep when Charles came into their shared room, trying not to make too much noise, but failing. ''Charles, be quiet.'' She mumbled, her pillow covering a bit of her mouth.
''Sorry, ChĂŠrie,'' he apologized, laying down on his mattress that was spread on the floor, ''how, uh, was your date with Ollie? I saw him working out in the gym.'' He asked, curiously.
Y/N had started to doze off again, but his question woke her up a little. ''We walked around Maranello and we got something to eat, and-''
''Did he pay?'' Charles interrupted.
''Yes, he paid.''
''Good.''
''Anyway- it was really nice and we talked a lot, so, uh, I had a great time.'' She finished her answer, closing her eyes again.
Charles simply hummed, trying to find the right words to say. ''That's good to hear, you think that it's getting serious between you two? That it's going somewhere?''
''Maybe, he's a really great person and I like hanging out with him, so I hope it's going somewhere.'' She truthfully replied, feeling weird about saying all of this to her older brother.

A/N: Hey guys! This was supposed to be shared on Sunday but life got into my way. But it's here! I've been looking for some inspiration and comfort honestly then this happened, hope you enjoy! Marvel story will be a little bit late for this week. As a reminder English is not my first language and grammar mistakes are my own.

Warnings: Mention of an accident (Not Charles or you), pet names, Google translated French, pure fluff, idiots are in love. Let me know if I missed any. Not proofread!
When you met Charles, you both still had diapers. Your families were so close. When you were 7, your family was involved in a terrible car crash. You somehow survived without even a scratch, waiting for your family on the doorstep of the hospital. They never survived so you just looked at the door crying. Herve and Pascale obviously couldn't leave you there, so they took you in as their own daughter.Â
Charles wasn't an ordinary child. He had gifts from the god. The way he drove those cars didn't go unnoticed. You on the other hand had amazing drawing skills. Herve was aware of your talent, so he took you to Charles' races all the time. While you were drawing Charles from your perspective in the audience seat, you supported him. Charles loved your drawings and even cried a little when you gifted him the picture you drew while little Charles was lifting his first trophy on his first F1 debut.Â
Everybody except you and Charles knew you had something different between you. A different chemistry. It wasn't something like between you and Arthur and Lorenzo. You had a sibling bond with them. But with Charles it was different. You both claimed it wasn't different than that but it was obvious. Your love was a different kind of love. Although they decided to wait until you realized yourselves.Â
When he started changing countries to race, he offered you to stay in his house, so you didn't have to pay rent and could focus on your art. He secretly loved having you around. He loved your smell that permeated in his house.Â
-
"Mon ange, I'm home," he called from the door. He heard your hurried footsteps coming from upstairs and smiled, closing the door.
"Welcome back, mon cher," you rushed into his arms to hug. It was definitely your safe place in this cruel world.Â
"You cuddle so tight, missed me already?" he teased. You nodded without even answering. He smiled and kissed your hair before he let you go.Â
"I've made pasta, just for you," you went to the kitchen and he followed you. "Are you hungry?" you asked. He nodded, his green eyes glowed when he saw you've made his favorite pasta. You took two plates, filled them and put them on the counter. "Bon appĂŠtit, ma chĂŠrie."
You two ate your meal, the conversation between you two never cooled off. He even offered to do the dishes after the dinner and didn't take no as an answer.Â
"Alright, mon miel, I'm going to rest today, but we can plan something for tomorrow if you want," he said, giving you a small kiss on the cheek.Â
Every time he kissed you, you felt butterflies on your stomach. It wasn't a lie that Charles was extremely hot but you always kept your feelings to yourself. You didn't want to ruin the friendship with him. You didn't know he felt the same with you but he never had courage to accept, although deep down his heart knew what it felt. His main focus was Formula 1. He didn't want to drug you into his busy world. You deserved more than that. You deserved someone who would make you his top priority, give you all of the time he has in this world. He couldn't give you that. So he stayed quiet. He watched your happiness with other guys. It always ended with your heart being broken. He was always there for you to fix your broken heart. It wasn't always physically but one phone call from him would always light up your world.Â
"Would you like to go shopping tomorrow?" you asked. You knew he would never say no to that, but you tried your luck. For some reason he immediately accepted. You clapped your hands and he chuckled while excusing himself to the bed.Â
-
You kept turning on the bed, your mind racing with thoughts, making you unable to fall asleep. "Maybe I can sleep if I change where I lay," you thought and took your blanket to sleep on the couch in the living room. You scrolled through Instagram, watched some videos until it drifted you off to sleep.Â
You suddenly stirred awake. You tried to understand what happened and what was the time. You came to your senses when you heard sniffles coming from the balcony. You didn't expect to see Charles crying in the middle of the night.Â
"Charles?", you whispered with a soft voice. "Everything okay?". You didn't touch him until he reached for your arms. He hugged you tight to find some comfort. His breath was unstable, still crying softly. It broke your heart to see him like that. You ran your hands through his hair, leaving small kisses and whispering sweet words. When he finally calmed down, he couldn't stop himself but left a small kiss on your neck, as a thank you. You bit your tongue to hold your moan.Â
"I saw a nightmare," he said, looking at you with red puffy eyes. You wiped the tear from his cheek with your finger softly. He learned into your touch and closed his eyes, desperately needing everything he could get from you.
"Would you like to tell me what you saw?" you answered, he shook his head. You caressed his cheek, giving him a small smile as if to express that you are here for him.Â
"You should try to fall back to sleep, mon cher, you must be so tired," you knew he wouldn't just fall back asleep after a nightmare, you didn't actually want him to just go but you also wanted for him the best. You covered your sadness with a soft smile.Â
"Can you lay down with me? Please Y/N, I need it. I need your comfort," he begged you. You felt like your heart broke into millions of pieces. "Of course, Charlie, you don't have to ask me twice," he sighed in relief. You held his hand and headed towards his bedroom. The smell of his cologne filled your nose. He laid down to his bed and patted his side. You laid next to him and opened your arms for him. He gladly returned your gesture, using your chest as his pillow.Â
"So soft," he murmured. "How did you hear me?" he asked. You played with his hair, "I was sleeping on the couch," you answered. He raised your head to look at your face to see if you were being serious. "Really? Why, is it because your bed is not comfortable? I can change-" you interrupted him. "No, not that. It's comfortable, it's just I couldn't fall asleep whatever I tried," you explained.Â
He put his head back to your chest, feeling a little better again. "So we both had a bad night, huh?" He started drawing circles on your belly. "I thought it would be easier to sleep, now that I have you right now," he confessed. He kinda regretted his words but they just slipped out of his mouth. "What do you mean?", you asked. He sighed, he knew you would ask, "I wasn't able to sleep last few days," he answered. "Please don't ask me what I have been seeing in my nightmares," he added, hopefully you wouldn't scratch any more.Â
Instead you hugged him tighter. He released some tension on your touch, "Close your eyes, mon miel," you whispered. "Stay until I fall asleep?" he asked. You kissed his hair as an answer. At this very moment, you knew Charles was the one for you. Your heart skipped a beat, thinking how you screwed up. These thoughts made you fall asleep. Even before Charles. He was about to say something to you but he stopped himself when he heard your light snores. He smiled to himself and let himself sleep in your arms.
Charles woke up to a stirring under him. He looked up and saw you murmuring something in your dream. He tried to catch your words but it was unrecognizable. "What a fucked up night," he thought to himself. He leaned up to kiss your cheek. He placed a few small kisses on your cheek, chin and neck, hoping it would wake you up and come back to him. "Mon amor, wake up, you're dreaming," he whispered, trying to wake you up. You woke up with a gasp but Charles caressed your cheek to calm you down. "It's okay, it's me, your Charles," he said, trying to soothe you. His hand was everywhere on your head. Playing with your hair first, then caressing your cheek, placing small kisses to anything to get you come to your senses.
You placed your hand to his cheek and looked at him in the eyes to let him know you were better now. "Are you okay?", he said softly. You nodded and looked around you. "What time is it?", he looked at you in disbelief and chuckled. "I took you out of a terrible nightmare and you wonder what time it is?" he tsked. "Oh wow, it's already 7:50," he answered and looked back at you. He was amazed by your beauty, puffy eyes, fluffy hair and a slight hint of red on your cheek, making him kiss and claim you.Â
You suddenly get up, tried to rush out of his bed, "I'm sorry, Charles, I didn't mean to fall asleep on your bed, I was going to leave when you slept but-" he jumped on his feet making you shush, "Mon ange, don't be ridiculous, you are always welcome here with me. Plus I slept like a baby with you, can't say the same thing about you though," he teased you.
He cupped your cheek and made you look at him, "What's going on in this pretty head of yours, bĂŠbĂŠ?"Â You sighed, tried to look away from his gaze but every time you tried he forced you to look at him, "Just a silly dream, Charlie," you huffed.
He tilted his head, trying to get the words out of your mouth but no matter how hard he tried you didn't give up. "I'll go for a run then I'll pick you up for breakfast, alright?" you nodded and you went to your room for your morning routine.Â
-
You couldn't help but think about the dream during breakfast. But after care was even worse. The way he touched you made you crave for more. "You are not listening, mon amor," Charles called out to get your attention back. "Is it about the nightmare?" you sighed, of course he wouldn't let it go. "It was a dream actually," you said. He frowned, "Huh, it felt like you were having a nightmare, so what was it about?"Â
You took a deep breath. You wanted to tell him how he held your waist in your dream, how he trapped you between his body and the wall, how he kissed you. You felt your cheeks heathen up. "I don't want to talk about it," you brushed him off.Â
He saw the way you blushed whenever he reminded you of the dream. He thought maybe you felt the same thing. You responded to his touch, didn't you? You always called him with pet names, you didn't do that to Arthur or Lorenzo. He knew you always had a different relationship with him, but could it be because you liked him, more than friends?
"We should go out tonight," he offered. You looked at him confused. "I know we agreed on shopping but we both had a bad night, it will be good for us. We'll relieve some stress. No race this weekend, I'm allowed to get drunk for one night," he continued.Â
You weren't sure about it. It was obvious you needed that, first he had a bad race, second you missed going out with him. You accepted his offer but mentally noted not to get drunk so you wouldn't spill your darkest secret.Â
-
The club was more crowded than you expect it to be. You felt Charles' hand on your waist, holding you close to him. He didn't want you to slip from his hands to someone else. You looked beautiful and he knew French men. They would try to flirt with you, take you home. He couldn't let it happen, not again, not anymore.Â
After a few rounds of shots, you both sure were tipsy. He pulled you onto the dance floor, his hands were all over your body except the inappropriate parts. "You look beautiful," he whispered into your ear. You snorted, "And you are drunk." He looked so offended, first he wasn't drunk, second he really thought you looked beautiful as always. Then he thought it was the first time he said this to you in a flirty manner. "Maybe it's the alcohol that encourages me," he thought.
"I mean it, you look hot as fuck, every single guy in the club is right now jealous of me," he said. Yeah, maybe he was a little bit drunk to be tipsy. You blushed, lowered your head so he wouldn't see. He put his fingers on your chin and made you look at him. "Don't ever look away from me again when you blush. I want to see that pretty face of yours when I flirt with you," he said, a possessiveness in his voice. This was the side you've never seen on Charles. He was usually a cute and sweet best friend of yours. Sometimes he flirted with you, but you thought he did that to everyone.Â
"You don't know what you are saying Charles," you said, sounding a little disappointed. You wanted to hear these for so long but he never did it while he was sober. "Look, I know I sound drunk, but I really am not. Last night made me realize things that I knew were there but never accepted. I didn't want to accept because I didn't want to get rejected. But damn, Y/N, you have no idea how much I've been wanting to kiss you and make you mine," he confessed. Suddenly he felt like a weight lifted off his shoulders. "You don't have to answer or say it back. I just don't want to pretend like your best friend. Don't get me wrong, I love being your best friend, but I also love you in a different way," he continued.Â
Then he knew. The look on your face gave everything away. Charles knew every single thing about you. Every emotion, every gesture and every look. This look on your face was the exact thing he wanted to see. The relief, the happiness you could see on a child when you give them something they want. But most importantly, he saw the same kind of love he wanted to see.Â
"Can I kiss you, mon amor?" he asked. You nodded, a smile appeared on your face before he captured your lips and claimed you in front of everyone. When you separated both of you had the biggest smiles you ever had. "I always wanted you to do that," you said and laughed. "Well, maybe spending time after a bad nightmare wasn't so bad," he laughed.

heâs not into the clichĂŠs. he doesnât believe you can fall in love at first sight, because with you? it wasnât that way. heâs watched you grow up, and at some point you slipped out of the spotlight in his life and become background noise. heâs forgotten all about you until tonight.
youâre sitting beside kika, your brothers girlfriend, when his eyes land on you for the first time that night. thatâs when he started believing in the clichĂŠs, because he couldâve sworn thatâs when his heart melted in his chest and time stopped. everything around him fell silent to your presence.
your smile lit up the room, the way the corners of your eyes crinkled at a joke and how your head tilted back in the slightest way. it sent a rush of red across his face, because thatâs when you spotted him across the room.
your eyes connecting with his, you watched him pull away and try to play it normal. he walks away from where he stood watching you, heâs found Pierre now and decided to spark conversation. but he canât keep you out of his mind, itâs to the point itâs all he can talk about to your brother.
âwell itâs your lucky night.â Pierreâs vague words made Charles face scrunch in confusion. the older man laughs into his drink, head nodding in the direction behind him. you were waltzing your way over after being convinced by kika and the shot of vodka to start something with Charles.
you were oblivious to Charles eyeing you when he entered the bar. you were too into your conversation with kika to have even noticed the MonĂŠgasque man had arrived, and couldnât pull away from staring at you. you werenât one to be brave and make the first move, but kika couldnât stop convincing you that you had to do something, it was Charles leclerc after allâdespite the significance of his name having a much deeper meaning to you.
âcan I steal him from you?â your voice sounds small, youâre nervous for what Pierre was going to say, but he gladly moves along and whispers something into Charles ear. you canât make out what, but it sends a laugh through his body before he turns to face you.
âitâs lovely to see you.â his smiles soft, sending a rush of butterflies through your stomach. you notice the top button of his white dress shirt is undone, and he smells like a mix of after shave and cologne. itâs a smell you could get lost in.
âI agree, I havenât seen you in awhile.â you couldnât place how long it had been, but you assumed it was around the time he and Charlotte began to date. thatâs when you stepped away from the spotlight surrounding your brother and his friends, to just being someone who showed up once in a blue moon.
he canât think of anything to say, itâs embarrassing. heâs too busy taking you in like heâs never going to see you again. heâs noting how the dress hugs your body, the way it makes your eyes pop, how your face looks in the lighting. heâs absolutely infatuated.
âI like complements more than stares.â you chuckle, a light shade of red spreading across both of your faces, but his is far worse. he can feel the moisture spread across his forehead.
âyou look beautiful.â you laugh taking his compliment watching him use the back of his hand to wipe the sweat off his forehead.
âwe have to work on your flirting skills because thereâs no way you can be Mr. Ferrari and be unable to talk to women.â you nervously laugh. heâs never been extremely successful, but somehow he had found himself in a relationship. he never had to try to work his magic on a woman in a long time, it all felt so foreign to him.
âexcuse me for being a little out of practice.â he playfully rolls his eyes at your words as he carefully bites his bottom lip watching you nervously play with the hem of your dress.
âI didnât know you and Charlotte broke up? Pierre didnât tell me.â you lean against the edge of the bar, you hadnât even realized you two werenât alone. you were in a crowded place full of strangers mixed with familiar faces. despite the awkwardness, it felt like you two were alone the whole time. it felt like it was just you two.
he waves his hand in dismissal of the topic, âit was mutual, and not a big deal. besides, Iâm pretty focused on the woman in front of me.â he winks and you couldâve sworn you felt your knees buckle. the slight smirk he makes whilst winking, was sexy, you could feel the warmth spread in your stomach.
âwell sheâs a lucky woman to have your attention.â you move a little closer to him, itâs not a noticeable change, but he noticed how much closer to him you are. he could just reach your waist, and pull you closer, but heâs fingers twitch with anxiety unsure itâs the right move.
âyou do realize Iâm talking about you, right?â his voice deep, you feel his finger tips grab a hold of the material of your dress pulling you another inch closer to him. your heart thumping loud against your chest, you couldnât believe this was the first time youâve been this close to him.
âI do.â you whisper, fingers moving to pull the undone button together, heâs watching you, his breath is slow and gentle afraid if he breathes too loud, youâll stop what youâre doing.
âquit falling for me, charles. youâre making it hard for me to stop myself.â your eyes move from his chest, up to his chocolate irises that are staring back at you.
his fingers are pulling you closer to him, thumb rubbing circles on your hip, âthen donât stop, fall into me. Iâm safe.â his words are comforting, you move your body closer allowing his lips to brush yours. heâs about to pull away, when you grab the nape of his neck pulling him back down so your lips smash his.
his hands are aggressively pulling you into his body like youâre not already as close as you can be. your hands caress his cheeks, as your finger nails move into his hair. everything feels good and right, heâs like a perfect match.
ânow Iâm really falling for you.â
â 5 YEARS FROM THEN â
the light seeps through the slightly closed blinds, itâs enough to wake you up. your eyes lightly flicker open to see heâs already closing them. he doesnât want to know how much longer he has, the sun is a constant reminder of the little time thatâs left with you.
he lays back into the bed, but heâs next to your body, head resting on your chest, hand pressed against your bare stomach pulling you closer. he canât get enough of you. usually youâd be so sick of someone this in love, but itâs him after all. you let it slide, raking your fingers through his soft brown hair.
âmon ange,â he whispers, thumb stroking your hip where your tiny pajama shorts clung loose to your body. you donât have it in you to respond, so he picks his head up, chocolate irises that once were so pure and full, were slightly drained, but still youthful, âI am still falling for you.â
âyou never stopped?â you ask, a smile creeping onto your face as he pulls away from your body exposing you to the cool air of the bedroom. you watched his smile spread further across his face as he sheepishly nods in response.
âIâll never stop.â Charles brings the back of your hand to his lips. his thumb nudging the big diamond that still sits happily on your ring finger after two years of marriage.
