Gossard ‘Phoebe’ Bra, Thong and Suspender. I love the ballerina pink of this style and tutu-esque shape of the suspender. In typical form, 14 years of ballet left me with little desire to be a technical perfectionist and instead a lifelong love for just wearing fancy things and performing. This set definitely lets me indulge some favourite parts of my childhood via some grown-up lingerie and the design is just so pretty. This is truly one of those sets that transports you to a different mood and mindset. The peach-pink mesh has metallic gold embroidery on the lace, the thong is your average, classic-cut thong and is a lot more comfortable than most. It’s also quite flattering too (and most usually make me feel like a Christmas ham, not really suiting my body shape). The underwire bra is a simple, un-padded balconette style, it gives a lovely lift and shape but I think I need to have a play around with Gosard’s various sizes as I feel- for me at least- that in my regular size the cups are a little too close together. Not massive discomfort but I notice it a little towards the end of the day. The tutu- suspender is of course the star. A few layers of the mesh cut in a round skirt shape create that effect and is attached to both a very comfortable suspender beneath and a band of that same gorgeous gold-flecked lace on the waist. This was my first Gossard set and I have been pleasantly surprised, especially considering I got it for a great price on sale (it’s still on sale btw at their online outlet- follow the link below!). 8.5/10
