How hard was it to let Ben live?
Like I havent seen the movie yet, but based off what I'm hearing, Kylo arrives on Exogol (how?), aids Rey in fighting Palpatine, gets yeeted off the cliff (doesnt die?). Then Rey dies killing Palpatine, he returns to find Rey dead and mourns then revives her, they kiss and then he drops like a brick and disappears. BUT then later he isnt a force ghost???? How does that even make sense?
Now here we are to improve the movie ten times over with 2-3 cuts. The whole last two movies have emphasized force projecting and force ghosts, right? Ben sees Anakin (not Han) on the deathstar and pep talk ensues. Everything else happens as JJ wrote; Rey believes Ben is gone forever and goes to Tatooine to bury the lightsabers and move on. She sees the ghosts of Leia and Luke, but no Ben? Just then as Rey goes to watch the sunset alone, again, we see a silhouette appear behind her. She turns AND FUCKING BEN SKYWALKER SOLO IS THERE. Guess what motherfuckers he was force projecting to the battle of Exogol. Him "becoming one with the force" was really him just passing out back where he was in the grassy fields by the ruins of the deathstar. How would he possibly have the power to do this and save Rey? A thousand Jedi live in him now. Anakin appears next to his children and we watch Rey and Kylo watch the twin sunset, the dyad is together, and anakin helped break his family's curse.
