Korosensei was ready to embrace death. He can't believe how peaceful and happy this death was, for someone as unworthy as him. Growing up, he had casually thought that no one would mourn his death, it would be lonely, chaotic or gruesome.

Just like life was. Now, being surrounded by his precious students. The tears in there eyes... He is still hurting them, till his dying moment he had hurt someone. And all he can feel is relief for the fact that though undeserving, he was loved. He really was terrible. But.

The smiles. The laughter. The tears. The shadow on their eyes when he first met them. The bloodlust in their souls when they got the chance to avenge their robbed dignity. The sheer acceptance and kindness that stayed. Because Koro would have never let them kill their hearts.

He closed his eyes. Maybe he was not so terrible after all. Aguri...s-she must be proud right? Still, smiling in his last moment, he feels bitter that he couldn't see them grow.

The crying fades away with his body. Just another mercy he never deserved. It is a painless deat.

his eyes opened. He still can't feel his body. But there was a sensation. Like leaves fluttering on invisible skin. Like tired pairs of feet strolling on the gr-his skin. His eyes never opens but he sees. The mountain . Kids.

He follows his kids, they look exhausted. He can't talk to them. Can't feel their touch. Irina sings them a song. They all fell asleep in the class. Irina keeps singing. Karasuma starts crying. She holds him and keep singing. Ha! so there WAS something between them. He feels the mountain move when he breathes and oh.

It's a caterpillar. He is seeing through the eyes of a caterpillar. Irina walks out but the caterpillar is not fast enough. Somehow he can still see her. Now it's through the eyes of a turtle dove perched on a tree right outside.

They graduate next day. He tries to take a look from the closest fauna of mountain to the main campus. From the wind passing through the mountain. He catches little snippets. Enough for the tears to shed from the squirrel's eyes.

Is he trapped? Is this his eternal punishment or a granted wish? To live in their memories but never actually seeing them.

They come back. The have purchased the mountain. Koro was in every sense, theirs. They take care of him. Takes stroll on the mountain and Koro chases each and every one. All twenty eight of them. Drinking in the conversation about their future, their grievance and joy.

Sometimes Karma visits. More silent and reserved. He never wears sweater so Koro stops the cold breeze before he gets sick.

Nagisa visits and he talks. More than he ever had. How his family is better. His mom is worse on somedays and better on other. He burn his her purchased dresses. He speaks on how he still plans to move out after high school. Koro gets it. He deserves to be independent and make his own choices.

Kanzaki and Sugino sneaks in midnight, wearing full gear and plays tag all over the mountain. She proposes and Sugino would have broken something if Koro haven't adjusted the bushes when he fell. He was so happy his ship sailed though!

Sugaya goes for art school. He is very talented and loves to paint passed times, trying to capture the past adventures on a canvas. Isogai and Mahaera started dating at some point. That was inevitable. Chiba and Hayami visited with them but to his frustration they are still not together. uhhhh they are the best match too! What are they waiting for? He can't handle this slow burn!

Three years later Yada confesses to Kataoka, following Kanzaki's lead. This time Koro is ready and the fireflies fills the night the moment she says yes. A gentle wind fluttering their hair is the closest he can come to give them his blessings. Kaede gets a movie she is very passionate about. She loves to recite her scripts to him. Sometimes he will bend the elements to give her dramatic effects.

The visits become less and less as they grow old. He don't mind. Though he misses them terribly. He busies himself with taking care of the mountain and keeping it safe because they will visit! Each on of them visits once a year, even Ritsu! Whether it's separately or during the reunion day on his "death" anniversary.

Okajima comes out as bisexual and gets a boyfriend. He enthusiastically speaks of him at his grave. A little too in details but that's Okajime. Karma passes the civil service exam and he looked so happy! It's not so lonely once Okano starts her lessons on the backside of the mountain.

She is ruthless and Koro tries his best that her students don't get hurt trying to catching up with her. Kurahashi's young scouts are more adorable and sweet to witness though. Safer too. Rio visits a last time before going abroad for her dream job. She says how she don't know when she will be back.

Takebayashi refuses his parents and decides to pursue medical science and research. It's the first time he rejected his family and seeing how they hardly cares of what he do, it breaks him. He comes crying in the old classroom followed by Okuda. Koro tries to hold him but he can't. Okuda does that for him.

Itona's dad comes back and he gets a panic, climbing a very high tree. Koro makes sure he is comfortable, wrapping the leaves around him. Hating how helpless he feels. Then Teresaka gets the poor boy down and promises him a place at Muramatsu's house for a few days. Koro gets to see how he don't need to worry for them. They are there for each other.

So he watches and satisfies his soul by seeing them grow, anticipates for there visit anxiously, praying not to receive any bad news. He knows it's part of life but he can't. Seeing them in pain hurts. On the mountain he can keep them safe but outside? He can do nothing but hope.

Yada becomes a successful businesswomen, which. Damn Irina did good. and he only gets to know about it cuz Karma finds it extremely amusing how much of a rival and problem she has became for the jr Asano. Sugaya gets the best artist award and wow. Kayano's carrier is flying! Literally, It's the 3rd poster with her face that has been swept by the wind into his old lake.

Apparently Okajime has broken up with his bf and is going to America for a month. He finds out from Kayano that Kimura is going with him too. They will surely meet Rio. She last visited two yers ago. Some updates would be appreciated. Oh another poster of Kaed-? Ah no. it's just Fuwa's published comic page.

Yoshida once confesses how he doubts his place in his friend group. How he is unsure if he wants to take over his father's shop. How motivated and guilty he feels by Muramatsu's dedication towards his own family business. Three days later he looks less sure. Terasaka's ted talk does wonders.

Sugino becomes famous. He and Kanzaki marries. It was very cute. They both went on their knees at the same time. This time Koro was not celebrating alone. Everyone was there. Even Rio. Even the newly wed Karasuma and Irina. It was on a reunion day afterall. Next to marry was Hara and she brought her husband to meet him. Eh...he is fine. Chiba and Hayami apparantly have moved in but still aren't dating. sighs.

Hazama shyly tells him she got a job as a librarian. And Koro almost cries a little because it's so her. Then short haired Nagisa visits and he is a teacher of his own E class. And Koro does cry at that. In every sense he can. Through the eyes of the insects and animals, through the rain and the sounds of the forest. His boy will do such a better job.

The last thing young Irina needs while currently suffering from post-war trauma, grief of her parents' passing, and the fact she had to kill a soldier and hide herself along with the corpse to survive, was to be trained to become a honey-pot assassin where she specifically uses her body and sexuality to get to her targets 💀

Which, by the way, she didn't really have a choice of since Lovro just had to give a traumatized child an ultimatum.

Like no wonder her concept of boundaries is pretty non-existent.

(The show has made a few jokey allusions to him secretly being alive, but I like to see him as being inanimate and hand-wave the few times he’s seemingly acted/spoken on his own as just Luan committing to the bit and screwing with people… neither of which are out of character for her let’s be real.)

Firstly, we know she’s had Mr. Coconuts since she was very young, so it makes sense for her to have projected onto him. Especially since he’s literally a ventriloquist dummy! Because that requires her to build an individualised identity around him, it would obviously only reinforce that fantasy of him being ‘real’ and make it easier for her to regard him as his own little creature.

He’s clearly a source of company and comfort for her! She uses him to talk through her thoughts and feelings, exchanging jokes or venting her doubts and frustrations (ie her worries about kissing Benny, or feeling pressured to cook with her dad). Whatever it is she’s dealing with, Mr. Coconuts acts as an external agent for her to work these things through.

I think this also points to a level of loneliness. We’ve seen Luan with friends from her clown circles and in drama club, but her attachment to Mr. Coconuts makes even more sense if she maybe didn’t have many friends growing up… if I was a lonely little girl and a toy fell from the sky, I too would make it my best friend.

We’ve also seen Mr. Coconuts serve as a proxy for Luan to express things she’s too nervous or otherwise not comfortable saying herself (ie confessing her feelings to Benny). She often uses him to express anger/annoyance/criticism and generally lash out. Obviously this isn’t to say Luan never does any of these things herself, because she definitely does, but the fact that she so often uses her dummy to express them instead says a lot about her!

When you reframe all the moments of Mr. Coconuts being rude or aggressive as Luan’s sublimated reactions, it demonstrates a level of compartmentalisation and even repression that is consistent with her optimistic mentality and general worldview. She would rather joke about things than have to deal with anything too seriously, so she reassigns her negative emotions to a proxy rather than voicing them herself.

And it happens much more often outside of her family, where it seems like Luan struggles to break out of her fun & silly persona to properly stand her ground. Director’s Rut is a great example of this! She has people-pleasing tendencies that lead to a lot of repressed frustrations, which… you guessed it, manifest through Mr. Coconuts.

All in all, Mr. Coconuts is so interesting to me because he represents some both good and bad coping mechanisms from Luan. He’s a pretty healthy way for her to talk through her problems and work out her own feelings… but at worst, he’s also a crutch for her to avoid dealing directly with anything that scares her.

- Watches Gilmore Girls, Greys Anatomy and Modern Family. Don’t ask.

- Has anxiety

Leni-

- She crossdresses sometimes, cuz duh, she can rock literally any fit

- Emotionally intelligent

- Plans all her siblings outfits for any given event

- Autistic, which explains only her misunderstanding of social situations and the lil dino hands she makes when she walks (which I do, as an autistic person, and apparently a lot of other autistic ppl do it too), not her intelligence.

- Physically really fucking strong like holy, easily 3rd place out of the entire family in my HC (yes, this is based off her beta design)

Luna-

- Her first words were “Wockin dewd!!” (rocking dude)

- Her bisexual awakening was a bunch of female singers

- Secretly likes Luan’s puns, but would never admit it

- Received her license, but lost it due to her head banging too hard while listening to music n driving, and ended up causing property damage. So now she hitches rides from others.

- Is obsessed with monster energy

Luan-

- Still sleeps with stuffed animals

- Has depression or something like that, but she gets help dw ✌️ (projecting)

- Loves MLP, her fav is Pinkie Pie, also she watches it with Lucy

- Has dark humour, and says truly the worst jokes sometimes (only when not around the younger siblings)

- FNaF kid

- Theatre kid too

- HAS HETEROCHROMIA

- Ragebaits ppl online

Lynn Jr-

- Needs glasses but refuses to ever wear them

- I love the trans Lynn HC so

- AroAce, idc about her new love interest, he’s non canon to me

- Has secretly lost to Lily at many activities, and she is forever embarrassed

- Has broken at least every bone in her body at one point in her life

- Stays 5’5 for her entire life, short fuck

Lincoln-

- Her hat is a hand-me-down from Lynn

- Has an EpiPen on her at all times, just in case she comes in contact with rhubarb (Lori fusses over her if she forgets to bring one, but she always keeps a spare)

- Has scars everywhere from various animals and auto mechanic incidents

- Trusts animals more than humans, for reasons……

- Feels as if she’s her parents’ least favourite twin…..

- Goes on lil scientific mishap adventures with Lisa :D

- Owns a truck when she’s older

- Calls Lola “my little sister” to purposefully makes her mad

- Is also a prodigy (because of her exceptional skill and professional experience in mechanics at such a young age), but hates when people call her one cuz “I’m not a nerd!!”

Lola-

- Dyslexic

- Extremely protective if someone dares to talk bad about her siblings, only she can do that!!

- Is and always will be a few inches taller than Lana, who is very salty ab it

- ⬆️ was the weaker twin, and had to be surveillanced closer, and was in an incubator n all that….the doctors didn’t think she’d make it. All this makes that previous HC quite surprising

Lisa-

- Spoke her first words within her first hour of living

- Has gone partially deaf due to her experiments, needs hearing aids

- Is double jointed

- Is secretly amused by children’s media

- Is somehow always cold, even if its scorching out

- Can’t stand discussions on politics, says its “A complete waste of my time.”

- Collabed with Luna once, where Lisa rapped, and Luna played instrumental.
