Then, there are the humans. They are one of the fastest growing species we had witnessed. They possess an unnaturally high crisis tolerance and an adaptive intelligence that allows them to thrive in radioactive, volatile environments.

Normally, The Pan Galactic Conglomerate would have added them to the council ages ago. A species with that level of grit and rapid demographic growth would be an asset for risky planetary preservation, development and labor.

Despite their countless attempts at communication, we had never reached out. We never will.

When we first mapped the sector, we intended to negotiate. But we quickly realized that human civilization is entirely stratified. There is a specific tier of entities on that planet that hold a monopoly on power, skills, and reality warping abilities that cannot be found anywhere else in the cosmos.

These commanding factions hold the entire galaxy in a vice grip. They have made it terrifyingly clear to the Conglomerate that while they rule the stars from the shadows, Earth is a forbidden fruit. It must never be touched. The violent, cosmic consequences of interfering with their territory were demonstrated to our central fleets centuries ago. No one wish to witness it again.

Our researchers have spent decades studying how humanity interacts with these supreme rulers from afar. Mars was the closest we could get but it provided us with enough information. The structure is baffling. Humans address them with absolute submission—sometimes collectively as a singular regime, sometimes individually as supreme commanders.

I believe the humans call these entities "Gods."

Through our deeper research, we discovered these rulers are fractured, divided into massive, competing pantheons depending on which part of humanity worships them. Some humans address them collectively as one, and some individually.

There are many who do not believe in their existence.

And here is the part that keeps our high command awake at night: the humans have no idea they are being ruled by their planet's apex predators.

For all their intelligence and curiosity, humans think they are the dominant species on Earth. They do not realize the universe is silent only because these "gods" have a gentle, fiercely protective bias toward them.

Our deep space scans confirms that these "gods" do not just belong to humanity.

It is believed that every single species on Earth has its own hidden group of pantheons governing the stars, and yet the humans seem unaware of the other species' existence. There are cosmic regimes for the apex predators of the deep oceans. There are primordial lords representing the micro fauna. The terrifying, universe bending monsters ruling our galaxy are just the local wildlife of Earth.

The the sweetest fruit in galaxy that we are not allowed to approach. Yet it always calls out to us.

It is the temptation we have ignored that had let us survive and develop. the conglomerate have strict rules and yet the sava'iz could not resist. It has been a few billion years since we witnessed this gruesome display of power that wiped an entire species for their audacity.

The gods have never cared for their mortal children's life. Why should they? After all, immortality made it so easy to forget. It don't matter how many children they loose, they are expendable at the end. New demigods will come and go.

We are talking about the extremely traditional version of Greece here. Where anyone except the goddess or queens/nobles were treated either like a trophy of their parent's/husband's honor or objects to win, slaved and claimed by heroes in raids.

Only a few rare cases or stories can be argued to not treat them shitty in the myths or history.

Enter, post 2nd Giant war Clarisse and Annabeth with the brawns and the brains, no men believed a women could posses.

They accidentally walk into a village that's been raided with soldiers taking away a group of young girls and women. Everyone else looked dead. What do they do?

Obviously they rescue the victims and chase off the soldiers.

The women, grateful provides them shelter and food, the young girls practically idolizes them. They realize that the king whose army had attacked this village was not happy that his war prize were being gatekept from him by 2 young maidens.

He send more soldiers and then just keep sending them. Because he is an idiot. Clarisse is getting irritated. They have been dropped in the middle of the nowhere in past and can't even leave this small village without putting the other girls in danger and Annabeth needs some answers or she will go crazy.

So they do the sane thing and attack the king's camp, in middle of a war, alone. Yeah. Then Clarisse holds that frightened and baffled man on the tip of her sword while Annabeth calmly explains that village is off limits sir and if anyone dared to cross what's under their protection then they swear on Styx, they will make it hurt.

Now they can both move around and travel without having to worrying. But. Every time they go out looking for answers they somehow come back with more girls they saved. Rumors travel and few men come to fight them and win the village.

They all get their ass kicked.

At this point Clarisse starts training the girls and both of them build many traps and security measures around it. They help the women with more ideas for business because the population has grown to match a small town and they need money.

One day, they stumble upon a girl being kidnapped and save her. She was a princess. Her father recognize them as the famous "maidens with soul of warriors" who rules the village of "The unconquered women" (that's how their tales are being told. Mind you, it's only been a few fucking months.)

He demands they ask a gift for saving his daughter's pride. Annabeth asks him for land. Now they have more territory and it's far bigger than the last one which was crowded. They build more homes and let half of them transfer there. They start calling these places "the sanctuary."

They start farming and many trades. The young girls start travelling independently far without there protectors. The women decided to make beads with shell as hair accessory which becomes a very clear symbol of being under protection of warrior maidens. No one fucks with them. People start saying that any woman who joined the sanctuary becomes the wives of the protector maidens and can't be touched by any man. Clarisse and Annabeth kind of feels icky cuz like, there are kids there.

It kind of becomes a threat across Greece.

"Try something and I will run away to the sanctuary."

"Hit me one more time and I will be the wife of Lady Klarís and Grace."

"Are you not scared of attacking her? I heard some unconquered women are in the town."

It all becomes a little too much when they both started getting worshipped. Apparently, the sanctuary had prayers they have been spread across wherever they travel. Many people took to those and wrote their own song. They both are completely oblivious. Though a certain wild goddess is very confused on why someone else is being worshipped as the protector of young girls. Apollo tells her his muses and him had written new poem for these very fascinating warriors who she would love so don't smite them pls.

She checks on this and is very pleased to find out about these badass maidens who had honored her domains like no other. They both are very scared when the goddess in her most prime arrives and offers them a chance at immortality. But they refuses to join the hunt cuz they have families to go back to. Making excuse is that they can't abandon there people here.

Artemis, disappointed, leaves after blessing that every place they claim their own will be favored by Artemis.

They do many heroic deeds and their tales of victory are never not carried by their followers. The monsters they defeat and kingdoms, some of which ends up having festivals for girls in their name. Female Schools that taught more academic subject and even fighting started to mirror the ones in the sanctuaries.

The gods are pleasantly shocked by such development. They were not expecting this change for upcoming few thousand years. All is fine till Athena visits and immediately recognizes her own ichor.

Annabeth spins a story of half truths and half lies that she was born from her thoughts and was found by her father who is now dead, she end up finding the other daughter of war and they became close, she didn't believe her true heritage etc etc. She somehow stops her mother from announcing their heritage from top of Olympus but Ares ends up knowing.

It's weird cuz they both are way too dotting and Annabeth and Clarisse are not used to being praised by their parents so openly.

The secret comes out when Trojan war starts and they decide to help out after being sought out at the condition that no slaves should be taken as war prizes.

One day, Clarisse gets hurt in an ambush by too many soldiers and Annabeth can't get to her in time. Though when she does, she finds Ares slaughtering every man around in cold blood before they could even try to take advantage of her daughter being wounded.

Athena pops up at that moment and in the middle of a war zone, the siblings on opposite sides claim their kids as heroines and children of Wars.

Imagine. Talia Al Ghul never told Damian about her beloved's identity out of respect of his secret. Instead, she tells Damian that his father is Bruce Wayne who left League of Assassins to lead a normal life because of an encounter between him and the Bat of Gotham that strayed him on the path of righteousness. So now he funds Justice League and helps the Bats by providing them tech.

She sends him back to his father when his life fells in danger, asking him to promise her to give this new life a try till she can get him back.

He hates every second of it. He hates this country and this stupid high society. He hates this illegitimate family .They are all adopted and father still treat them as if they are heirs. Not a single blood relationship except father.

All of them are beneath him and yet they act as if he is a mere child. His father is still tolerable than most but he despises the obnoxious act he puts in front of the world. He was raised a warrior and now has been merely reduced to a rich kid.

Then he slowly realizes that his sister Cassandra has a stamina and stealth that could easily put any professional assassin to shame, that Todd owns a armory of weapons and guns he could very much use, that Drake (as much as he loathes to admit) has a mind that could take over the world if he wished so (He is quite glad that the boy is a civilian. He would not wish him as a opponent or ally in field). He learns that Grayson. Kind, humble, stupid and emotional eldest with a body of rubber that makes you doubt his human DNA, can probably defeat both Deathstroke and Mother if he wanted.

He realizes that they are stupidly competent. Too good. They deserve their place in this family. Even his father is exactly the man whose skills and strength, his mother sang praises of.

And they welcome him. An assassin who grew in blood and death and his non violent, law-loving family still loves him. Yes they are technically helping the bats of Gotham which is illegal. But none of them have hurt people! Not because they don't have the guts or ability to do so, just because they wish to stay kind and help from the shadows. They all are clearly skilled individuals who wish to lead a peaceful life, who are capable of drawing blood but chose not to.

And he is the black sheep. The boy who stained this very pure and brave civilian They even let him carry his sword around! They treat him with empathy and somehow tries to understand his not normal child problems. The nightmares, the ptsd, the insecurities, the guilt he had buried with every human he killed.

So out of respect to them, he tries his best to not be violent. He decided he would protect them. Make sure no one could hurt them more than this wretched city already has.

Dick Grayson gets kidnapped? When the Bat gets there, a child with Katana in his hand has already cleared it up and is carrying his baffled big brother who is blindfolded so that he don't have to see the bloodshed. Someone in a gala shit talks about Tim Drake to his face? The youngest Wayne punches them in the face and declares that anyone who tries to mess with his family will deal with his wrath. A man tries to mug Jason when his nice big brother was just trying to get him ice cream? He break their bones and take them both home cuz that must be extremely traumatic for the older boy. He checks on Cassandra very fucking second because she is the only one who is always travelling due to her job and what if his enemies try to hunt her? He hunts down batman when he suspects his family is asleep and gives him a shovel talk that his vigilantism is painting a target on his father and sibling's back so he should cut his contact with Bruce Wayne.

The rest of the family is going insane. On one hand they are happy that there youngest did not fall into the dangerous family profession but on the other hand. They are not used to being treated as fragile sweet puppies by a ten years old.

It's such a hilarious take. Like, if he is busy raising fucking demigod babies and being a nanny/ single mom then he won't have the time to contemplate the unfair system of cruel gods and titan powers.

It almost feels misogynistic in the best possible way.

You learn that he have nightmares about his last encounter with a monster but every demigod have to fight monsters so it feels stupid to even talk about it. That he have a crush on a boy from Aphrodite's cabin. That he is bad at grammar but really enjoys literature. That he wished he had a home to return to. That he would really love be claimed cuz he feel so abandoned in this cabin but his favorite color is purple by the way.

Then one day, like any other day, a monster attacks. Your the kid bleeds out before the ambrosia could heal him. He was 12. Old enough by demigod standards. You can fool yourself in thinking he was happy with you and the others. Everyone will forget about him like they did about the unclaimed apollo girl from a year ago. You for some reason still remember that girl's favorite snack was sour strip candies. Maybe you will forget about this one? It's funny cause Thalia was also so bad in english, you think with tear stains on your face as you weave the blue shroud to burn Hector.

Time goes by and kids live and die. It's not been that long but you have seen to many deaths, wove too many shrouds. And another another new kid drops. He have the same eyes as your that kid you met 2 yrs ago? You know when he is not claimed by day 5 that this one will also end up as yours. You repeat the routine and come off as friendly as you can but no sincerity is their in your heart. You can't see this person for the person, the child for the child he is.

You don't think you can feel grief anymore. All you feel, when you feel, is anger. Then you are promised by someone that they will release you from this cycle. You don't care if they are saying truth or not. You for once, wanted to be reassured, regardless harshly, that you could be helped.

You only wish that every kid is claimed and loved and not throwns aside. It's not possible as long as the gods rules. So you start this revolt and you don't care really who lives and who dosen't. You haven't felt sorrow or regret in a while. Except you regret when you can't feel the ache of Thalia's death anymore. You regret that you can't feel the love for your sister Annabeth anymore. You lie and pretend but you are only empty. The void in you radiates with wrath and want this fucking cycle to end in the easiest way possible. Even if people die then it's not like they were living anyways.

And a new boy, a son of Poseidon stands before you. If you were made of anything but hatred then his young age might have made you hesitate. But now this boy is just an obstacle. He is the same age as that unclaimed kid. His eyes are blue. So you will remove that obstacle.

Many people in the fandom gets mad at Luke for the whole hurting very young kids while he was so much older thing. Maybe he didn't care because he had became indifferent to it. For his whole childhood and teenage he had witnessed kids HE knew die. Unclaimed children who HE took care of as, begging to be claimed, only for them to never get the love they deserves and die by monsters without ever being acknowledged by their parents. Many kids with abusive mortal parents, neglected children he practically adopted, living with a permanent mark of being abandoned.
