I’m not crying

We had him since he was 6 weeks old, he would have been 10 years next month, so not only was he basically our child, but we were HIS whole life. He was so sick and it broke our hearts and hurt like hell to watch him go, but that was a small price to pay for the joy he has given us for being in our lives. I wanted the last thing he knew to be our faces, our voices comforting him, our hands petting him, our lips kissing him. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Our grief will heal, but his last memories are forever.
