Happy Accident, 2016.
Acid wash kiln colour provided by Maddison Griffiths, and furnace glass. Colour was applied as a wrap and was blown out too thin causing the colour to collapse but was held up by the clear glass.

Lesson learned: dry moulds out in a kiln before slumping. Water seeped from the forehead mould and cracked the glass and the mould itself. Last picture is of my moulds after being completely dried out, both have long cracks in some dangerous places but I'm making a few backups just in case, and they seem to be holding together quite well so far. Going to use a kiln brick under the chin for support when going in for the slump
Mini test slump to save on some glass before doing life size. Turned out perfectly! I love how the glass has slumped in a way that looks a lot like material. Considering sandblasting for a more realistic look but I like how its obvious that it is glass. The mould will be removed afterwards. The extra glass on either side of the head will support the structure.
