Sometimes I feel bad when I don't spot a typo until after someone has reblogged my post. I'm sorry guys it's so hard to spell check on my phone.

@liluot Your ask has inspired a rant about how every adult, upon joining the crew, chose 1 to 2 children to adopt as their own.
Robin: Probably one of the most obvious. She took one look at Chopper's wide eyes and was in love. She will protect his wonder with her life. How can you blame her? At Robin's core is a child who loves to flip over rocks and poke the bugs to see how'd they react. And Usopp is her favorite bug. She loves teasing him. That's her little ball of anxiety.
Franky: Heard Usopps insecurities and decided he would raise this nerd as his own. Also has a soft spot for Chopper.
Brook: Has claimed Luffy as his princess since joining the crew. He spoils his captain dearly. Also sees so much of his young self in Sanji, that is his grandson.
Jimbei. The international uncle of the sea has adopted Luffy. This is his monkey, and this is his circus. Loves his retirement plan. Also has such a soft spot for Nami. It's not even out of guilt, he sees her grace and maturity and the orange niece shape void in his heart shrinks. He was meant to be a girl dad. Also extends to Zoro, who he sees so much of his young self in. Zoro might not be mature but his sense of honor is stronger than most people Jimbei has met.
One of my most out there headcanons for Juvia is that she is a descendant of a dragon slayer.
This might be outdated because I'm coming back into the Fandom after being away for a bit, but hear me out.
If Erza is an example of a 1st generation removed, I could envision Juvia as what happens further down the line.
For one, almost every other character that we know who can turn into their own element has been a dragon slayer. Also interesting enough both Rogue and Juvia have curses that are linked to the powers.
We've also seen times where just having contact with water gives her a bit a boost. Not as dramatically as when Natsu eats fire I'll admit.
I think that Juvia is descended from a rain or water dragon slayer, and that as the generations have passed, the powers faded into almost a recessive gene.
And then when they manifested in Juvia when she was born, her parents didn't know what was happening, blamed it on a curse, and abandoned her. (Although I also headcannon that they were already in a toxic relationship anyway, they just used Juvia as a scapegoat)

I love your headcanons girl! Can I have some of Usopp with Robin and Franky? They're his parents to me andπ₯Ή
Hey thank you so much!
I love talking about the strawhat dynamics!
The workshop is actually set up so that Usopp and Franky can have privacy if needed, but they still end up working side by side most of the time
Robin loves buying storybooks to read the crew, and Usopp always interrupts to add dramatizations and comedy.
When Usopp is telling a story, Robin also loves to interrupt him to question his logic or details.
While Franky and Usopp work on the Sunny together, Franky likes to go through some of the history of shipbuilding: how certain practices were started, legends, techniques etc. Robin often sneaks in to listen too because she finds the history fascinating.
In my frobin baby headcanon, Usopp makes a mobile that has trinkets from all the crewmembers, a little merry and sunny, and has lullabies stored on a dial.
When they meet up with the Red Haired Pirates, Yassop has ONE chance to get it right before Robin decides torture is back on the table.
Franky is in on the plan. Specifically requests she leaves some for him too.
Robin has come to check on them only to find them cuddled up and asleep surrounded by blueprints and tools too many times to count.
The most beautiful thing about the strawhats is you can name any combination of members and their dynamic os still beautiful.
I've decided I am making my own safe space here to say that I've never been a crocomom believer. Do I think Crocodile could have been a woman previously? Yes. Do I think that means he could have been Luffys mom? No.
But do you know what conspiracy theory I am willing to believe?
Dragon being Robin's father.
Luffy and Robin have such similar personalities, though they express it differently due to their own individual traumas.
But also there is something poetic about him having one child, born in the west, who spends her time studying the past; studying the suns that have already set; and one child born in the east, who looks onto a sun rising on a free world.
There is something hilarious about the fact the two prissiest members of the crew, Sanji and Nami, are also the ones that were raised by pirates.
I think is goes to show the amount of energy Zeff spent to make Sanji comfortable. And the dedication of Nami to make up for her years of struggle.
But also hilarious that they are the ones afraid of bugs. You would expect it from Nami but not from Sanji.
Its so funny to me that out of the Big 3, Ichigo is both the only introvert and the only one who was not raised in isolation.
If I was Ichigo, everytime I remember how Uryu introduced himself I would drive to his house, knock on his door, drop a singular piece of hollow bait in his hand, and smack him.
And then leave without saying a word.

I forgot to mention that Cohise really carried the last 2 seasons he was so funny. I love socially awkward aliens. He reminded me of Rook from Ben 10.
I've mentioned before how much Nami and Parker remind me of each other but I would like to introduce you to my other favorite compliment characters.
Alec Hardison and Usopp.
Two of the younger members of their crews who are both always riding the line between overly cocky and scared out their asses.
They both have so much love to share in their hearts and often show it through gift giving.
They both lean into humor during stressful situations and even though they spend so much time hyping themselves up they both still tend to self doubt when pressures start rising.
If I was Sanji I would have gotten a seaprism stone lock from Wano to put on the fridge.
Try eating through that Luffy!
(He ends up trying to eat a hole through the fridge door instead)
Sometimes you drop a show and then when you find out spoilers you realize you chose the best time to drop it.
I finally finished Falling Skies so here's my thoughts on it.
The first 3 seasons were my favorite.
Matt was my son throughout all of it. I felt so protective of him.
It took me way too long to realize that Karen's actress was Cinderella in OUAT
Loved Maggie, but them never confirming her age threw me off because I can never tell how old she is compared to Hal.
Do not get me started on the Ben falling in love with Maggie story line I absolutely hated it. Truly and utterly.
I absolutely hate apocalyptic pregnancies. I actually can't tell if it was part of the og plan or if they added it in because the actress got pregnant but I couldn't stand it.
Also the fact that they really gave her a second child just to kill her off at the end of season 4. I almost dropped it right then and there.
While I do hate apocalyptic pregnancies I love rapid aging, slightly creepy children so I did end up growing attached to Lexi.
The Nazi style re-education camps were a choice.
Pope, while entertaining, annoyed the shit out of me. We should've put him down in season 1.
Also they added his cooking and then never spoke of it again. That's like the one thing that could've gotten me to like him.
I could not get attached to Sarah at all.
All in all of I wasn't watching with my grandma I would have dropped it after s4.

It always cracks me up when people still question whose gonna be the 10th strawhat.
Guys, we have 10 members already. Luffy has always counted. Just an example is when Kuzan finds them on Long Ring Long Island, he refers to them as a 7 man crew. That number has to include Luffy or it doesn't add up.
I mean I'm not against stealing more crewmates but they would make it 11.
I don't know why it gets me but it does.
Ok so I have a question for any of my mutuals who are A Song of Ice and Fire fans.
I'm gonna preface this by admitting that I am a backseat fan. I've never been able to finish any of the shows and I cannot bring myself to read the book. I just can't get over how he writes little girls bodies. I mostly watch video essays and breakdowns. I find the lore and world building fascinating.
This question is mostly to do with Fire and Blood/House of the Dragon, and is a hypothetical.
I've seen people comment that even if The Dance never happened, that a succession crisis still would have happened because Rhanerya made the same mistake her father did, by remarrying and having more heirs that some could argue had a stronger claim. Being that her sons with Daemon would be Targaryen on both sides. And no one questions their parentage the way they do Jace. (Yes I am aware that in the books it's not actually confirmed that they are not Leanor's).
I guess my question is who do people think would make the claim? From what I've seen Rhanerya actually does make an effort to foster a positive relationship between her children, so I doubt Viserys or Aegon would stake their claims on their own. And the only other one would be Damon himself right?
Given their age difference I wouldn't expect Daemon to outlive Rhanerya. But also, would it even benefit him to push for his sons claims, when his daughters Baela and Rhaena would likely already be married to Jace and Luke? Therefore his daughter would be queen and his direct line would still sit on the throne through her children?
Please let me know if any of my facts are wrong. I've just seen it pop up on my tiktok recently and I'm curious. I would ask over there but this would be way too long as a comment.
