its been a while dayum-

well first of all in the og comic i planned to give Dean and Ghost some bonding time, theyre both very different but similar in certain ways. but in the beginning really grind each others gears. dean's teasing sets ghost off in every way imaginable. dean doesnt really get ghost or how he's even in charge of pie, especially since he and sam are used to taking charge in situations like this bc most of the time people like P.I.E. (cough ghostfacers cough) have no idea what theyre doing.

but eventually? over time they oddly learn to understand each other. two assholes (affectionate) who realize the other is more than just an asshole. and find common ground. dean also just becomes greatly concerned for Ghost's mental health and well being.

another character interaction that started in the og comic was a small dynamic between sam and spooker. Sam is able to recognize Spooker's efforts instead of writing him off like a lot of people have. though i think Spooker is a little oblivious to that at first. i did plan on them having more interactions originally but its been a while and i need to refresh my memory on that.

also plan on giving sam and toast more interactions. especially since ghost and toast's dynamic vaguely parallels sam and dean's. two guys who grew up only having each other? a lot to go off there :]

getting into spoiler territory but if it isn't obvious Castiel does make an appearance in this comic (alongg with other SPN/VT characters that'll show up later) but cas and colon(and the rest of pie) have a funny dynamic that'll be unique to the reboot which will be below

I FINALLY started working on the storyboarding for it, simce im doing mkre than remaking it, but rewriting it. it'll still follow the original storyline i had in the original. just some changes will be made to better flesh things out. and feel less rushed.

especially since i better understand my lore on Shatterverse P.I.E. lol

AND ALSO idk how many of u remember this detail from the og comic but the number 13 was a reoccurring element i did on purpose at the time, but during my planning and rewriting process that number has surprised me in unexpected places which is funny to me. Main example being: when i first started making the comic? season 13 of Supernatural started airing, in fact i think the first episode aired on October 12, 2017, which is the day before the main events of the og comic also takes place. just thought that was cool :P

mini lore dump down below for my mini niche audience 🩵

1) Supernormal was gonna have a part 1 and a part 2. and originally Castiel was going to show up at part 2. but perhaps... we'll see him sooner than we think.

2) I HAVE NO IDEA WHICH SEASON OF SUPERNATURAL SUPERNORMAL WOULD TAKE PLACE IN LOL or do I? it's open for interpretation 😌 (dean still has his necklace in the OG comic but he will not in the reboot)

3) Crowley. Crowley will be in the comic. I know his role in the comic now better than i did 7-8 years ago. here's a sketch of him tho with the comic in mind. he's holding a pocket watch. is there an important pocket watch in the VenturianTale lore??? i dunnnooo i dont rememberrr🤔

ya know this isnt too bad for the limits of my art style at the time. at least it looks like him. i believe this is from 2019 or 2018. which is... old. was i even working on the comic as consistently then?

4) something planned since the original will happen to Ghost. look forwards to that.

disclaimer: I'm not alluding to the build up to what a lot of people think is about to be a Jimmy moment, tho that still is happening and Jimmy will still be present but he is not the main plot device 😭

5) bc speaking of Jimmy. since he is not a demon for a variety of reasons in my book, it'll be super interesting and silly when the Winchesters inevitably meet him :) reminder he's not the main plot point or super important tho :(
