(thinking a lot about bens relationship with his human body. i like uaf trying to assert that ben was still strong and capable w out the watch, but i think it loses an aspect of his character that was always important, that being ben finding himself inadequate and weak in his human form and overusing the watch to escape it. i think thats why the feedback arc hit so hard, bens hatred of himself and his past over something that was never his fault, all stemming from his hatred of his human body. i personally interpret the feedback arc as less of a drug addiction metaphor [which if it is was pretty shittily written] and more of becoming consumed by what youre not. that theme with ben is most of the reason i relate to him and project on to him as a fellow transexual)

My name's Eddie (or Das for those who know), and I enjoy writing and art (tho I never post art on Tumblr.) Anyway, here is my intro and my request board for asks. I've taken away some of the characters I'll write for because they were never really requested.
So I mainly write Call fo Duty stuff and you'll see that as you tour my blog posts. I mainly write for Modern Warfare (reboot or OG but mainly reboot as that's what I've played) but I can give other cod characters a shot if you truly want them!

βHow about I pour you a glass on the house, you look a hit worked up. Something bothering you?β Price startles at the voice coming from beside him. He'd been so out of it he didn't realize the Bartender had gone down the line and reached him at the end already.
βAh. Yeah. Just some work stuff.β Price sniffs and rubs at his nose before clearing this throat. βBeing in charge of men who don't want to listen, for better or worse. Love the boys, but sometimes they make me do much more paperwork than necessary.β
βMilitary yeah?β
βHow'd you tell?β
The Bartender chuckles and shakes their head before placing a glass on the counter from behind the bar. βYou're wearing a shirt that says Captain John Price on the breast pocket. Made some assumptions because you didn't look like you played on a sports team. Only one other captain I could think of.β
Price looks down at his shirt, totally forgetting he'd thrown on the blasted thing. It was all he had left in his drawer that wasn't in the laundry basket. βSeems so. If you're still thinking about letting me have that drink, I might have to take you up on it. Seems I've gone and embarrassed myself.β
The bartender lets out a bark of laugWhat'and bangs their hand on the bar top twice before snorting. They shake their head and scoot the glass toward Price. βWhat're we feeling today, Captain?β
βHate to admit it to the bastard I'm annoyed with, but in the spirit of my anger hit me with a scotch. Neat preferably.β
The Bartender winks and crouches blow the counter for a few seconds before popping back up. He begins pouring the drink with a laugh. βMy kinda man, it seems. Anything else I can get for the Captain?β
Price seems to think for a moment before smiling, his mustache riding up with the movement. βYour number, maybe? Here I went and embarrassed myself once, hoping that's enough for this interaction.β
The bartender laughs and taps the counter again. βI'll see about it, Captain.β
Price watches the bartender move away and begin serving the others at the bar once again, he continues to sip at his drink with a sigh. Worth a shot, regardless.
Eventually, the end of his bar trip comes to an end and he waves for his tab. He had gotten a few refills throughout the evening after the first glass was poured. The Bartender from before slides his tab over to him to sign off on it and written on it is a scribbled out number followed by a smiley face with a note reading βDon't worry about it. I paid. Hope to talk more, Captain.β
Price looks up from the paper to see the bartender send a wink his way with a smile before turning around to continue serving. He carefully tucks the paper into his wallet while leaving a generous tip. He wasn't about to let the other get away with nothing after all, cheeky bastard.
