he follows shortly after. "no, it's alright. i'm glad you like it." it's rather different from the other homes — very much more like regulus' manor. bright and open and airy. it smells like the sea. "my family isn't... the holiday sort." strange, then, that they should hold so many properties in so many lovely places. is it a waste? "we used to be — when i was younger. but now these places mostly just sit. it's better that they're used."

smaller than a castle . . . wasn't that most things ? peter's hardly one to judge, but he thinks regulus' perception is entirely skewed. such is the life of a billionaire, he supposed. oblivious to regulus' inner thoughts, peter explores the home in record time, ducking his head in and out of rooms and bathrooms and foyers ( houses could have more than one, who knew ! ). it's picture perfect, aesthetic, like something out of a magazine. perhaps its this that gives such an inviting space an eerie quality to it, the fact that crashing waves was the only thing that filled the silence. there was no sandy footprints, no discarded clothes or any semblance of being lived in. for a house so remarkably open, it was awfully barren.

his attention turns to regulus when he starts speaking, and a certain understanding comes along with his explanation. not the holiday sort, well, peter gathered that himself. it's sad; to think of all these holiday homes just sitting alone and rotting away, and a childhood so distant and different from adulthood. in many ways, peter could certainly relate. he says nothing for a bit, hazel hues silently watching as regulus pads across the living room, listening to a man more worried about others than himself. it brings a smile to his lips.
