On a less amused note, I'm now imagining this path (which I didn't take bc I ultimately always choose "heart") in which, in his moment of vulnerability Aerin asks MC why she likes him when he can't possibly understand it and she tells him she likes his humor, a trait of his no one has ever done anything but criticize, but somehow it's enough that it justifies, in MC's eyes, their being together and her wanting him after everything that happened between them... and then a couple of months later she's seemingly fed up with it and his jokes don't land with her anymore (out of pocket as they objectively are) and she's no longer very fond of her supposed favorite trait of his, and not only has he still not gotten entirely used to being loved by her, but now on top of that he also wonders if it's only a matter of time before the novelty wears off and she can longer find anything about him that endears him to her enough to justify staying with him 🤔
