PAGES in tarot are associated with youth, learning and fresh potential so i decided to match them with tiefling kids and make illustrations inspired by classic Waite-Smith deck

WANDS are action and pure energy ARABELLA

CUPS are feelings and romantic notions MIRKON

SWORDS are intellect and new ideas MOL

When drawn upright, the Six of Wands represents triumph and achievement, acclaim and recognition. It indicates success in your future, due to your drive and ambition. When reversed, the Six of Wands warns that pride comes before the fall. Arrogance and overconfidence can be your undoing, and you may lose what you sought to gain.

My contribution to the @bg3-fate-spins-along zine! It's a Tarot-centric zine so here's Raphael as The Fool.

This piece was a journey, but I'm really happy with the result!

So, I was so excited to post the rest of the gala that I totally forgot I was waiting on an art commission to go with it. WHOOPS. Anyway, that'll come along sometime this week and get tacked on to the chapter.

“You’re smitten,” Mirt observed as soon as Florrick excused herself to seek a garderobe.

Heat crept up his neck, and Wyll tore his eyes away from where Rion had disappeared into the crowd to focus on the ambassador. He hid his face behind a long pull of his wine and mumbled, “What makes you say that?”

Mirt snorted. “Anyone with eyes can see you’re fair rivvim over that filly, lad. And why not? She’s a pretty lass. Though she seems a bit of a scorchkettle.” He chuckled. “A woman like that will certainly keep you on your toes.”1

“It’s not like that,” Wyll said, though it didn’t sound very convincing, even to his own ears. He didn’t particularly appreciate the crude manner in which the Waterdhavian ambassador was speaking, either.

“Isn’t it?” Mirt shook his head. “I saw that flash of the green-eyed monster in your eyes when that boy put his hand on her.”

“You’re imagining things,” Wyll insisted. “Flame Elerrathin and I have a purely professional relationship.” Except for the parts where it wasn’t. Like when Rion brought him snacks from her mother. Or when she held his hand and told him she wasn’t afraid of him. Or when she sat on his desk, her eyes all warm invitation—

By the Triad, tendays later, and he was still thinking about that and wishing it had been the desk in the study at home while she was wearing that damnable chemise.

“Wyll?”

Wyll started and realized he’d been lost in thought while the Waterdhavian ambassador was speaking. “My apologies, Your Excellency,” he mumbled.

Reccer says: I really love that this meetcute fic is structured around meal times. Like Lenore and Yrre's growing relationship feeds and nourishes them in the same way that food does. The vibes are very cosy for a fic set in the Underdark, with moments of humour and self-reflection. And the Underdark husbands make an appearance as well, which made my day!

An exploration into who Gale was as a fledgling Chosen of Mystra and his relationships with his friends and family. When he meets Eliwyn, a Cleric of Lathander, he sees his own faith reflected back at him.

Reccer says: The author has put in so much thought and care into the world and character development. You truly feel the life and festivities of Waterdeep come to life. The incorporation of tabletop modules is icing on the cake!

Karlach is sent to the Hells and learns how to kill and survive.

Reccer says: This is a super harrowing but beautifully written character study. It completely changed my perspective on Karlach as a character.

Once upon a time, Jergal gave away his domain to three mortals who would eventually be known as the Dead Three. It did not go well for anyone.

Reccer says: This traces the whole arc: precanon, postcanon, ingame--but it is rooted in Jergal's agreement with the Dead Three at the very start, and that's where it truly shines. That, in the agony of Gortash post-Durge tadpoling.

What happens when Gale, a fallen Chosen of Mystra, meets one of her mysterious clerics with a dark past? Come find out!

Reccer says: Hollowharp’s writing is exquisite, her characterization of Gale is on point, and she has done a fantastic job of weaving together some really fascinating bits of lore (liches and dragons and elves, oh my!)

Gale has a foolproof idea to find a date for the Blackstaff Ball. Whoops! He turned Tara humanoid.

Reccer says: WHAT A JOURNEY! If you're new to crack, I think this piece is an excellent example of how incredible crack can work. This author's ability to summon (heh heh) these characters on to the page is so satisfying. You can hear the VA's voices in their work. Their compliance to lore is also just delightful. Because they've grounded so many elements that keep you tethered to the characters, adding crack to the mix completely reads as viable as they react authentically. It is a WILD ride. Do yourself a favor and check this out.
