About me

Hello, I’m Luktiee. You can call me Lucky! I’m a queer artist who’s trying to develop an audience and hopefully a career involving art. Thank you for taking the time to read my post! I hope to be doing commissions regularly and posting more often on all of my social medias.

I’m an intermediate level artist who’s trying to improve their style, mostly when it comes to rendering and anatomy. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil and I’m proud of how far I’ve come but desperately want to continue improving!

I don’t have a DNI because people on that list are going to interact with me anyway whether I like it or not, hateful rhetoric is everywhere these days so here is a blacklist for the people who are blocked from receiving my services:

Whenever I try to copy a specific art style or to be neat with my art it just never works out the way I intend it to. It’s always much easier for me to just do the thing and whatever comes first to mind. I still take manga and anime as inspiration but these days I’m less worried about perfectly emulating it. What do you think?

You could say well oh, just make the art for yourself. You don’t need outside approval. But when you put your hard work into something and put it up for everybody to see, only to not be acknowledged, then it’s obviously going to hurt.

You could say well maybe you should feel good for those people, because not everything has to be a competition. And in some ways it’s true. But I already *do* feel good for those artists. I know it isn’t a competition! And yet, jealousy and bitterness towards my own lack of skills is still there, neither feeling is mutually exclusive.
