Holiday cheer.

I'm not working in retail and I'm not in any musical groups that need to rehearse anything in advance. Yet I find myself listening to Christmas music a sickening amount. Voluntarily. Is this Stockholm syndrome?

Neutrality, Ambivalence, and Uncertainty.

I'm feeling so neutral, ambivalent, and uncertain about everything.

My interest in my academics, and what I'm going to do with them. Pre-med? Pre-law? Pre-pared for anything? Am I really spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an undergraduate education at a name-brand university to just use it as a stepping stone to other things? Why is all my conversation centered around an MA, MPH, MALD, MPP, MPA, JD, MD, OD, or PhD when I should just be worried about my BA, and more importantly, my education?

My confusing romantic life. Will men always act as children, or did I just make the transition more smoothly than everyone else?

My confusing family life. Again, why must I act as a parent to people older than me?

My thoughts on the new Gaga album. Some of it is just shit, but some of it makes me want to get wine drunk and pour Cheerios all over my blue-haired self. And DANCE.

The most important takeaway: THIS IS ALL GREAT. I think I'm just becoming really jaded, and it's allowing me to deal with dumb shit better than ever before. I feel really at ease with everything, and am figuring everything out really well with some spectacularly enlightening moments. Neutrality, ambivalence, and uncertainty are shepherding me through adulthood. I can feel myself becoming stronger every day.
