Hero 108: Love and Strategy (Completed) [+12]

This story aims to continue Hero 108 a little through my own perspective. It’s a tale of romance and adventure where Mystique Sonia, after a long time, tries to take the initiative to confess her feelings to Lin Chung. However, her plans are overshadowed by a new enemy who has infiltrated Big Green, intending to destroy it from within. Now it’s up to Lin Chung and Mystique Sonia to unite and put an end to this threat!

(This story takes place before Hero 108: The Last Chronicles.)

Hero 108: The Last Chronicles (In production) [+12]

After Twin Masters’ defeat, our heroes prepare for one final assault on East Citadel. However, they soon encounter new and old enemies far more powerful than before, forcing Big Green to rise once again to face these emerging threats!

After exploring a little further, I came across this strange statue. It was missing the top half of its head...

...and it had a hole in the center, as if something was meant to be placed there. Maybe the missing part of the head? It's pretty strange, but hey, I finally found my first puzzle.

I searched through the catacombs a bit more, and in one of the nearby rooms I think I found the statue's missing skull. Now I just have to bring it back to where it belongs.

Ah, damn! That scared the hell out of me—I got caught completely off guard!

Looks like that's my first Game Over.

Man, I tried checking the coffin behind him, but he wouldn't let me. Honestly, I'd fight him... but I still haven't found a healing potion. I'll just leave him alone for now. Maybe on another playthrough? I'm really curious to see what loot this knight drops.

I wandered around the area a bit more and fought a few ghosts along the way. Apparently they're immune to physical attacks, but I managed to exorcise those specters using the Sacred Flame. Right now I'm completely out of magic, so I hope I find something to restore it soon—maybe a dagger or some other item.

I started in a small crypt. There wasn't much there, so I just left and wandered through the forest for a while until I came across a mountain where the enormous corpse of a giant lay.

I read through the game's manual, and it said that the corpse belonged to a god named Gurvek the Great. I spent a little while there taking in the scenery before turning my attention back to the capital.

Getting there was pretty stressful. There were enemies lurking everywhere. I defeated a few of them, but I ended up rushing through the area.

ABOUT VERMIS

Vermis is a dark fantasy artbook and fictional game guide created by Plastiboo. Rather than relying on graphic shock value, it tells its story through melancholy, mystery, and an oppressive atmosphere. The world feels ancient, cursed, and lonely, encouraging exploration and interpretation instead of constant action or violence. It is presented as the official strategy guide for a video game that doesn't actually exist, allowing readers to piece together its lore through fragmented descriptions, item entries, and environmental storytelling.

Unlike many dark fantasy settings, Vermis is relatively restrained. It doesn't revolve around sexual abuse, excessive gore, or graphic scenes designed purely for shock. Instead, its horror comes from unsettling creatures, forgotten ruins, curses, body horror, existential themes, and the feeling of wandering through a dying world. While there is blood and some gore, it is generally used to reinforce the bleak atmosphere rather than to be gratuitous.

That said, Vermis still contains disturbing imagery and may touch on common fears and phobias, including decayed bodies, grotesque monsters, parasites, and other unsettling visuals. If you're sensitive to these themes, please keep that in mind before reading.
