STRAW HAT CAPTAIN IS HERE

My boy is in disbelief. I wonder what Luffy told him...

Everything for Luffy became a party. He jumped up and down above trees like a monkey in the woods they were crossing while the archaeologist walked quietly ahead, guiding him to a special place she had found and was sure the youngest would love.

Soon they arrived in a beautiful valley, next to a river, where the older one stopped and opened the backpack she was carrying, picking up a tiny hunting net. Robin walked to a bush and with two extra arms she slowly pushed the leaves away. “Luffy, come here.” She called out to the boy while enjoying a heap of scattered golden beetles. “I thought you might like to visit this place.”

The two had been doing this for some time, having fun cataloging all kinds of strange beetles they encountered. Robin encouraged the captain to make his own sketches and with each new disastrous drawing, she kept it with affection. And today, a few days after Luffy’s birthday and in thanks for the beautiful party that her friends had prepared a few months ago, the archeologist decided to present her beloved captain with his own encyclopedia, an album of all the beetles that Luffy had drawn in the last months.

“I’m a little late but… Happy birthday, Mr. Captain!” She smiled sweetly as she handed over the handmade design album, with a colorful cover and everything. “I hope you enjoy!”

He was so full of excitement and couldn’t really decide where to put his focus on. There was simply so much to see and smell and feel and obviously the captain was in could seven with all the beauty the surroundings especially after Robin showed him what hidden gems could be found. 

The captain truly enjoyed spending the day with the archaeologist just two of them searching, catching and indentifying bugs in this paradise-like place. A day that would return in his naps often.  --------

“Hmmm...? for me? Wait... no way how cool is this. My own bug book~!” 

Luffy didn’t expect to get another present since the trip to the secret insect island itself was a big thing for him and they already had a huge banquet but he could never refuse surprises. When he opened the parcel a chuckle came out because it took him back to those memories and he treasured this new encyclopedia that was made with care and love.
