while tending to her own cone in hand, her cravings for sweet things have become much more incessant lately, she shot ludo a look, " that sounds like a headache waiting to happen. " face was skewed up slightly at the thought of a brain freeze, " i could time you, if you want. "

"Headaches don't happen to me. I'm too good for headaches." He grinned at Lily's offer to time him though, even if it came with the look that said she didn't exactly approve of his choice. "Yes, you should. It'll make sure I have an impressive time."

Having just secured three generous cones of never-melting ice-cream, Rabastan was on his way back to where he'd left Alecto with Bellatrix. God only knew if the two witches would be in the same place. Somehow he doubted it. But not paying it very much thought, he paused upon hearing a familiar tone and looked at Ludo with a sly smile.

Rabastan was not someone people would assume to be someone that Ludo would ever even want to be around, let alone consider a friend. And yet, against Ludo's opinion of cursebreaking just being the job his boring father had, somehow Rabastan was a friend. Which meant that the question of it being a bet made him grin, "Yes. Always a bet, you know I love those."

Aurora noticed Ludo instantly, making her way over in his direction, swatting off the younger witches that were fawning over the handsome Quidditch player. She rolled her eyes at his question, moving to stand in front of him. "I'm sure you could do it, but it might be more fun if you buy your bestie one, and we can eat it together." A sly smirk on her lips.

He blinked as the familiar face and voice actually registered, "Rora! Would that be more fun? Unless you want to compete with me then maybe but that isn't usually our style."

Alice nodded again, blinking away the tears in her eyes. She felt extremely silly and didn't enjoy not having full control of her emotions or how her body was reacting to things. "It's nothing, I promise. Just hormones. I'm pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Oh now Ludo wanted a way out of the conversation he got himself into. Not that he had anything against pregnant women, he just didn't know how to act around them, he was only three when his brother was born and he doesn't remember much. "I was about to offer a drink to ignore it but I do believe that's against the rules usually so...candy?"

Ludo loved to drink. He was no stranger to having a pint, or two, or three. He especially loved to drink with people, which is why he was often at The Three Broomsticks and especially on a night like this. But he wasn't too drunk yet, wanting to get to talk to as many interesting people sober as possible which is what made him stop at the woman just outside. Though before he could even open his mouth, she spoke about being fine and that's when he realized her eyes did look glassier than would be typical. "Are you sure you're okay, love?"

Every day was filled with the typing of words, the sound of her quill scratching along on parchment enchanted to capture her very thoughts at any given moment and, of course, in interview the words of others. Or whatever she preferred to keep of it. There was fun in twisting things to be a little more intense. As such Rita found herself surrounded by those equally intense. So long as they kept her entertained the blonde was more than willing to do the same and keep them equally amused. The witch had her charm.

"Time must fly when you're missing me. Far too long. I missed seeing you." As much as Ludo liked being complimented, he knew boosting others egos was just as important sometimes. Maybe not more important than boosting his own, but close. He sat down on the sofa, well, more like lounged across it. "Tea? I am very parched, thank you."

'Getting into it' would probably be the understatement of the year, but Bellatrix did indeed live to win. It was just a humble game of cards, but there was certainly nothing humble about this dark witch. She played like she worked: savagely and without mercy. She would take all of Ludo's gold then make him beg for the pleasure of earning it back. Though at present, such a feat seemed out of reach. Perhaps it was his night to win, after all. Eyes narrowed, she pursed her lips and resigned herself to the possibility of losing. Would she be a good sport about it? Absolutely not. So instead, she pulled forward their plate of snacks with childish covetousness, and took all the best pumpkin crisps for herself.

He did enjoy winning more than most things, maybe it almost rivals his love for attention but at the same time, Bellatrix pulling the snacks towards herself did make him scoff as if it was an actual offense to him. Which, it could be, who knows. Ludo may be a relatively easygoing guy but he also can be set off by the strangest things sometimes. That was evident as he pulled it back.

Sophia shook her head and rolled her eyes, "Yes, Ludo. You are ever so humble." She laughed.

"The most humble. I could win an award for it really." Ludo grinned. "I am sure I can find a baking ghost if you don't want to do me a favor and do it yourself."

Bellatrix Lestrange and Ludo Bagman. Quite the unlikely duo - at least at first glance. Truth be told, he made her want to stab out her eyeballs and force feed them to him in a martini glass just so he could see himself through her eyes, but something about the ridiculous little man kept her thoroughly entertained.

Ludo is sure that gambling with Bellatrix was not what his parents had in mind when he was young, nor do they even know about it now, but he thinks she is very interesting. And quite honestly, a little addicting to play against. Maybe it was because of how into it she got, which he understood entirely.

Ludo was often in the Three Broomsticks for once reason or another, tonight was simply because he was feeling like a drink and some snacks. But when a voice next to him spoke, he turned his head and grinned. Maybe there could be a better reason now. "I don't recall ever getting my ass kick so I suppose we'll have to go with options number two. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was more of you missing my own pretty face."

Grin erupted on his face. "Ludo! What do you want? Whenever you want to see me, it's never a good thing." James was only half-joking; he knew Ludo and his antics well enough, and found his friend both entertaining and endearing.

"Never a good thing? How dare you, seeing me around is always a delight for all but especially my dear good friends such as yourself." Was he laying it on a bit thick? Perhaps, but Ludo had often wondered if he could ever get into acting when his sure to be illustrious career comes to an end.

Aurora knew there was another side of Ludovic that most didn't get to see. He had this exterior that led others to believe one side of him, but there was who he was on the inside, and that is how their friendship formed all those years ago.

"Just a one off? Oh come on, Aurora. I deserve that greeting." He shook his head and put a hand over his heart like it was really upsetting him. "We could never have issues. Who else would be my best friend? I mean there's plenty that would want to but, I have high standards."

Sophia rolled her eyes playfully at his statement in regards to balancing him out. "Yes, you're ego at times does need a little re-balance" she taunted, giving him a friendly nudge.

"No, no I disagree my ego is one of the best things about me. Besides my extreme handsomeness, and my talented nature. Oh! Can't forget my humbleness." Ludo took a swig of his drink when it was placed down.

Pandora often questioned why she fell into the arms of someone like Ludovic Bagman. A wizard who she figured often looked at himself in the mirror and fed off being praised by others; complete opposite of her. She could admit he was not hard on the eyes and there was something about his smile. What they had, it meant nothing in the grand scheme, getting together once or twice a month to share in each others company. "Natural charm?" She smirks at him teasingly.

"Are you trying to tell me that it's not natural charm? Are you trying to tell me you are not thoroughly charmed and impressed by my star Quidditch prowess? I am offended, I should leave right now." But he wouldn't, and the grin on his face said as much. He was already here, and he knew she was teasing anyways.
