Next week I have an appointment booked for my first bigger tattoo(3 hour session)… Which will be on my hip/stomach….Although I’m brimming with excitement at the same time there’s been a nagging at the back of my mind, am I skinny enough to pull off a tattoo there, will it look right on me, what will other people in the tattoo shop think? A few weeks ago these nags made me want to try and tone up my stomach before getting my tattoo. No, I didn’t go through with it, why? Because studying for a levels has taken up so much of my time and when I’m not studying I need chill out. This past week it’s finally sunk in how close the appointment is, getting 1 week reminder really hit me, and actually it’s made me realise that as long as I’m happy and comfortable, it doesn’t matter what size I am or how toned I am. I hate exercising and going to the gym, so I don’t, so what? At least I’m happy. It sounds silly but I feel like this tattoo is going to help me on my journey to self acceptance as when I see myself in the mirror I’ll see a beautiful design rather than constantly finding flaws in myself. But who knows, we’ll find out next week 😉
