Can we get your top five TFB songs? (and maybe a why?)
YAYAY, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK!!! :D They're not in any order, except for Legit Tattoo Gun, that is number 1, because i said so. There's some runner ups at the end because I love too many of their songs lol.
1: Legit Tattoo Gun - the song just kind of speaks to me, and whenever i listen to it i jsut feel very understood in a way. I struggle with dysphoria and some body image problems so "i am not a dirty god / and i dont have a dirty body" is like, yeah you're right, brian sella. I also think the instruments are super funky and i loooove the little piano part and the structure. Every aspect of it makes me happy. It's just the perfect song, really.
2: leaf pile - it describes my anxiety, big fan. i also love that it's heavier, and the little part where he's essentially just talking into the final bit with the "DO I SEEM ANXIOUS TO YOU?" etc is gold. it goes so hard every time
3: Pale Beneath the Tan (Squeeze) - the song just sounds aggressive and lost and desperate and i love that. lyrics are so fire too (like "maybe pain will be the only thing that i'll ever get to bring, so i will send it through the air like a loosely-gripped baseball bat swing") It's chaotic almost but not in a bad way
4: Swimming Pool - I can't really explain this one fully, i like the weird lyrics and the "i'm a creature of a culture that i create" and voice memos are always so fun in their songs. I remember when i first listened to it a few years back i was fascinated by it, and that feeling has jsut stayed with me, it seems
5: Wolfman - specifically the black n white twitch stream live version (found on yt). It's honestly just a vibe, it's not super relatable for me but nonetheless i find myself listening and vibing out to it. It really is jsut that good i suppose :3
