But i can definitely see him choosing both, calling his gf while messaging flux on what he needs help with and depending which seems to be more important he'll prioritize it more

the funny thing is i don’t think saps would think of his gf when he’s helping out flux first, he gets so consumed w a flux who needs his help that it does become his main concern.

i know i like to joke that saps’ gf is a fujoshi but that thought is NOT in this drabble dalright? not here at all.
ts is lwky ass but this (and another idea) is my true interpretation of saps’ gf psyche.

She knows that she's lucky with her boyfriend. ■■■■■■ is charming, gentle, and honest—all the traits you would want in your ideal man. He would do anything to help her out if she was struggling. He would take her with his family to go on trips, or even take her to go hang out with his friends. He would always make sure that she knows he loves her and only her. He would do all these little things that has her heart overflowing with emotions.
It still doesn't change the fact, that on her phone right now, is her boyfriend and his best friend acting the way they usually do. She knows he's gotten big as Saps, and that Saps is closely interlocked with his best friend, Flux. It was funny at first, she found it hilarious that the two of them were getting shipped when to her knowledge, they weren't even talking much. She told Saps to play that romance game that featured the two of them, she told Saps it was fine and that she knows it was just a bit.
But a few months have passed since then, and while her boyfriend's actions towards her remained the same, she has found out that Saps and Flux were very very close. Much closer than she had thought previously. There were screenshots of them joking around each other that was more akin to flirting in servers, there was proof that Flux had known Saps way before she even met him, there are people picking apart every minuscule action between the two of them and saying that there's more to their dynamic.
While it shames her to admit it, she feels like they aren't that much far from the truth. It was like a veil was lifted over her face and she could see clearly. Every time he was staying up? It was because he wanted to talk to Flux. Every time he was on his phone while the two of them were out? It was because he's updating Flux. Every time something happens in his life? Flux knows before she's told. There's a chance Flux even gets 'Happy valentine's!' messages before she does.
The worst thing about this is that ■■■■■■ isn't cheating on her. She had taken his phone, snooped through everything related to Flux, and there was nothing at all. There is somehow nothing explicitly romantic going on between him and Flux.
She watches his streams sometimes, finding solace in his voice despite it not being the tone he speaks to her in. He's louder as Saps, more energetic, more alive in a sense but it feels faux to her. That's until she hears him more as ■■■■■■ than Saps when it's just he and Flux together. They don't stream often, but when they do, he tends to be more gentle, more soft, more caring towards Flux. It's clear as day that Flux is special to him, with how he treats Flux like he treats her. He allows his guard down when Flux is around, he's more relaxed and quiet, he's acting the way he does whenever he's ■■■■■■ and not Saps.
How much has her boyfriend acted like this around Flux? Has it been like this ever since? Has it been like this since Flux was 16 and he was 19? Have they always been blurring the lines between platonic and romantic? Does he run to Flux whenever they have an argument? Does he run to Flux whenever he wants comfort? Does he run to Flux whenever she's not here?
Flux is important to him, she understands that now. It scares her because she had no idea how important Flux is to him before everything. ■■■■■■ keeps him like a secret, mentioning his name only when he's talking about the group of friends he has. He never tells her about her best friend, he never tells her about Flux like he does his other friends, he never tells her how much Flux means to him.
She can't help but think that it means something, the fact that he refuses to tell her stories about him even when she asks directly, "I saw something earlier, have you and Flux been friends for a while?", and he responds with a vague, "I guess you could say that."
Why keep it a secret? Why keep being vague about it? She knows there's technically nothing going on, that he's her boyfriend and Flux is just his best friend, so why? Why doesn't it feel like that's all they are?
She wonders what would happen if she asked him to pick between her and him.
Would he pick her, his long-term girlfriend that he calls his other half, one that's already been accepted into his family? Or would he pick Flux, his best friend of several years that is his polar opposite, one that he keeps hidden from her?
She doesn't have the guts to ask. But one of these days, she'll need him at the same time Flux needs him.
