Purity Will Always Conquer

“I don’t know if I would say the most, but I certainly do love you for them.” Narcissa replied with a grin. When he placed her down, she used her elbows to move back slightly until she was comfortable, though she stilled when he crawled on top of her. “Hello to you too…”

“You love me for all of them.” Lucius said, winking at her. As she laid there under him, all he could do was stare down. Laying down slightly on top of her, he used his elbows to support her weight as to not crash her with it. “I love that smile, I was missing it.” He sighed, softly tracing her lips with his finger.

Chuckling, she batted his hands away when he tickled her. “I think we would have some serious problems if I was only just aware of those things now. Some things will never change, and those to are definitely some of them.” Smiling, she leaned in to kiss his cheek lightly, her grip on him tightening as he suddenly picked her up so they could both go indoors.

“Tell me, you love me the most just because of those two things.” Lucius grinned softly at her, as he made sure to carefully carry her back to their room. “There you go, madam. Placed all safety back where you shouldn’t have left this morning.” He smirked, placing her down in the middle of the bed, crawling on top of her. “Hi.”

“Mhmm…” Narcissa grinned, purposefully rolling her eyes at him again. “Oh, I know you aren’t, but sometimes I like to hope that one day you will suddenly decided not to tease me anymore.” She smiled, closing her eyes briefly when he kissed the top of her head before glancing back up at him again. “Well all right then, I am sure that I can live with that.”

Lucius tickled her side as she rolled her eyes at him once more. “Two things you will always be sure. One, I’ll forever be stubborn. And two, I will always tease you, my love. That is what you got when you accepted to marry me that day.” He grinned, squeezing her lightly in his arms as he relaxed on the chair. “Good, because you don’t have other option.” He said, pressing his lips against hers. Picking her up bridal style, Lucius stood up, carrying her back to the cabin where he had come out a few moments ago.

“Oh, you know that wasn’t what I meant at all.” She chuckled, rolling her eyes at him. “Are you quite done teasing me now, hm?” She asked, giving him a gentle nudge before she lay her head on his shoulder. “We have an entire island and you want to stay in bed? That sounds perfect.” 

“Don’t roll your eyes at me, I know what you meant, but I decided to add a bit to it.” He grinned, winking either. “I am never done teasing you, love. Haven’t you learned that by now?” He asked, pressing his lips to the top of her head. “We can have that island to ourselves later, now I just want you to myself for the day.”

“Oh, so it’s Malfoy now, is it?” Narcissa asked, raising a brow at him. There was no denying that the both of them just needed this time to act however the wanted, without having to worry about anyone else watching over them and judging. “I do read the others in our library, you know, this one is just my favourite.” She explained, smiling as she shifted slightly to get comfortable in his lap. “I have no idea, Mister Malfoy. No idea at all.”

“It is ever since you put that ring on,” he joked, smirking at her. “Oh do you? Because I sincerely doubt that.” He teased, knowing very well that it was true, especially based on how much time she tend to spend in there. “I believe we should just enjoy our companies...be lazy in bed perhaps?” He asked all innocently, cuddling her closer to his body.

“Sorry, was that you agreeing with me? Lucius Malfoy, admitting that he is over-dramatic?” She was teasing him, of course. She couldn’t help it. Even just teasing one another was something they hadn’t done for so long, but it felt good to be able to do it again. “I couldn’t even tell you how many times I have read it anymore, I lost count years ago. But I will never get tired of it, so don’t roll your eyes at me.” She tried to look offended, but instead she could only smile.

“I don’t know what you are talking about, Malfoy.” He mumbled crossing his arms over his chest, sticking his tongue out at her like a little kid. The light tone over their situation was something he had been wishing for in a long time. With Lucius ways of not getting too close or physical whenever they were in public, it was good to just have her here so he was allowed to be and act as he pleased. “With such a huge library back at the manor, you are still here reading this old book.”He teased, shaking his head, pulling her by the hand so she would lay on his lap. “What should I do to you, Narcissa Malfoy?”

“Don’t you mean you’re always incredibly over-dramatic?” She asked, grinning as she returned his kiss gently. Before they had decided to leave England, she felt like they would never be able to joke with one another again, so it was like a weight had been lifted that they could. “Should you even have to ask?” She responded by closing the book to show him the cover and the title, Pride and Prejudice, her favourite.

“Hmmm that too.” He grinned winking at her. Lucius was more glad with the fact that his wife was able to smile and joke again after everything than anything. Over the past months she had been gone through so much that he honestly started to wonder if she would ever go back to the same girl he married to. As she showed him the cover, all he could do was roll his eyes at her. “Are you not tired of this one yet? How many times have you read it?”

Chuckling lightly, she shook her head. “I wasn’t abandoning you, Luc. You looked too peaceful when I woke up, so I didn’t want to disturb you.” It was one thing she had noticed when they were here. He always seemed to sleep so much better, and it made her happy to see it. So it wasn’t something that she wanted to disturb.

“I always feels abandoned,” he smirked leaning over to press his lips softly against hers. He loved how at ease they seemed to be here, when they had nothing too worry about, any damage to fix. Just the two of them being allowed happiness as it should always be. “What are you reading this time?”

A few days had passed since they had decided to take a well needed vacation. The secluded island where they’d had their honeymoon was a place where they had found happiness, so it only made sense for them to return to the very same island. Narcissa had woken up slightly earlier than usual, so leaving Lucius asleep in their bed she had decided to take herself outside to sit in the sun and read. Losing track of time, she was brought back to the here and now when she eventually heard footsteps behind her. Looking back, she smiled. “Good morning, darling.”

Lucius have never been this happy as when he was on their island. After their very well enjoyable honeymoon, Lucius made sure to buy the island for their well being whenever they wanted a gateway, somewhere to hide from the real world when things got just too much to handle like now. After everything that happened on the past months, some peace and quiet alongside his wife was all Lucius needed -- and he was sure she needed it just the same as well. Waking up to an empty bed, Lucius knew where his wife would be, so after putting on some shorts, he headed outside finding her sitting by the sun. “Good morning, love. Abandoning me this early?” He teased, sitting down next to her.

“You have? How comes that?”

“Oh no, it was not you. I was looking for that other red hair over there.”

“Well it’s the best thing I have to offer you right now so you can take it or leave it Lucius”

“Okay, fine. I guess I’ll be forced to take it won’t I?”

I didn’t disappear, Luc, I’ve just been at home. *laughs* If you came over more often, you’d know that. *smirks* Don’t you dare. If you leave again, who knows when you’ll come back.

Oh yes, I forgot you are a married man now. How’s that going so far to you? I am sorry if my wife comes first to me as of late, and I don’t know how good me leaving the house might be. When I do, strange things happen.
