Dear staff,

I am writing to let you know the company has organized to make a video for publicity. Needless to say, we must all be part of it.

First and foremost, the CEO has decided to make it due to the fact that our latest developments and newest products need to be presented to the society and our customers. Our sales have been profitable, but as our company’s philosophy says, we have the means and will to go further.

As we might all be aware, the marketing and publicity industry has gained so much influence this past decade. Our video will contain the new packaging we have designed for the technological devices we produce. It will show how efficiently and in harmony we work. This short film will also present our goals and aims for this 2020. Moreover, the video we will be recording next week is going to prove how committed we are to recycling and embracing renewable sources of energy in our production.

I am writing this letter to inform you we are all asked to do our jobs while this video is being made. The publicists require us to perform our daily activities. It would be a regular Friday morning. Last but not least, the company needs you to sign the protocol whether you feel comfortable being filmed or not. Please leave it on my desk whenever it is ready.

Nowadays, reality and talent TV shows are said to have managed to seize power through the screens over minds. However, is this completely true?

To start with, we should definitely point out that these TV shows are a source of entertainment for their viewers. People enjoy drama. Reality TV shows present love stories, dance competitions and other situations which attract viewers to get deeply involved with the programmes. Whilst, it is important to mention that producers just want rating, success and to earn more money every single night. Live disputes between participants seldom end. These programmes tend to play with the participants’ relationships because they are benefited from the gossip.

Another issue to take into account is that young people’s vulnerable minds are influenced by these reality and talent TV shows. They see almost naked women, listen to “grown-up” matters and maybe to words not appropriate for young people, among others. Talking in general terms, juveniles have fragile or not trained minds. Due to this fact, they could accept as a definite or unbreakable truth whatever these shows present. Apart from that, young people are used to hold the show’s runner in such regard that they usually follow him as a leader they would never defy.

To conclude, I personally believe reality and talent TV shows mean no harm. However, they should be extremely careful with what they present to the entire world. They should all stay out of people's heads. They at least have the right to remain free.

As we might all be aware, March 8 is the day the world celebrates International Women's Day. The question of whether women need this commemoration or not is one that continues to cause controversy. Do they?

Let us begin by considering the fact that women are more than empowered. This day goes as far as to say that women deserve full and equal participation in global developments. It is a day for women from all different backgrounds and cultures to get  together to fight for gender parity and women's rights. Not only that, but it is also a day dedicated to honouring the achievements of women throughout history and around the world. In view of these facts, it is quite noticeable that the International Women's Day aims to eliminate discrimination and segregation against women.

One should, nevertheless, consider the problem from another angle.International Women's Day establishes women and men as divergent, not equals and partners. We are all humans, and we should all be guaranteed of our rights and citizenship. It would also be interesting to see that not every man is chauvinist or sexist.  Furthermore, one should not forget that the fight and struggle needs to be visible and taken into account all year long, not just on March 8.

From these arguments one must conclude that women do not need an International Women’s Day. Women do not need a day to be glorified. Women deserve respect. To be treated equally is what they need. Not March 8, but all throughout their lives.

It is a well-known fact that the number of private cars circulating has risen tremendously. People are accustomed to having their cars parked outside their homes, knowing they can get anywhere, anytime they feel like. Therefore, governments have started to take action in order to discourage their use. Having this in mind, which methods could they use?

Let us start by pointing out the fact that providing access to a universal education is a key method to discourage the use of private vehicles. Governments should endorse change by teaching their citizens about the consequences of their actions. Awareness must be raised. An informed person acknowledges how relevant it is to strengthen environmentally friendly policies. Along with harming human health, air pollution can cause a variety of environmental effects. Knowing this, a skilful society would reduce the use of private means of transportation. In view of these facts, education can be a means for society’s upliftment. Education makes us better citizens by teaching us how to behave ourselves through life by giving us a sense of consciousness.

On the other hand, setting up taxes would also prove to be efficient. It is quite noticeable that no one enjoys paying extra. This leads us to believe that the number of private cars circulating around the cities will definitely decrease. Generating a periodic control of mileage could be a useful way of relating use of private cars with higher tax payment. Drivers will surely present some type of resistance at first, but enforcement through norms and procedures will assure compliance.

From these arguments one might conclude that developing a structured educational system would be the more accurate method to discourage the use of private vehicles. It would enable tomorrow’s evolution, feasible today.
