I want to start by saying that I understand why you decided to step away. You have to do what you deem is best for you, always. What I said wasn’t nice. I always told you and myself that I would never treat or speak to you like that. There is no excuse for it, and it is going to be something I regret endlessly. You didn’t deserve to be spoken to like that, and I am tremendously sorry.

In the email that you sent me, you apologised for your part in things. While I appreciate the gesture, I stand by my stance that you have nothing to apologise for. The four years that we spent together/involved will remain among some of my most cherished. I became a better version of myself with, and because of, you. And that is something that I am forever grateful for. Thank you for the love, care, and years of your life that you shared with me.

I love you, C. Always. A very large piece of me will always remain yours. And I hope that you will one day see yourself the way that I, and everyone else who cherishes you, do. You are extraordinary. Please remember that everything is going to be okay in the end. Your life is going to be nothing but sunlight because you deserve nothing less.
