Stanger Things WolfSteve AU!

((SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4))

With the earthquake portal now open, a scant few small creatures have crawled out and begun to hassle the local wildlife. One of the neighbors dogs get mangled by one such creature but survives barely, infected and rapid with an unknown sickness. 

Steve just gets back home from helping at the relief shelter and parks his car, only to stop when he sees something in his bushes. He immediately opens his trunk to take out his bat only to just barely dodge a set of jaws aimed at his throat. The infected dog latches onto his wrist instead, biting deep with it’s thick, black saliva, but Steve manages to throw it off and slam his bat against it’s head once, killing it instantly.

Of course he tells everyone what happened and they all try and figure out what’s going on but Steve starts to feel clammy and hot that night, his eyes rimmed red and his throat feeling swollen. The next day he’s starting to get really anxious and nervous, his pulse racing as everything gets louder and smells get stronger, almost overwhelming him. 

And then, BAM! Dustin accidently knocks over a pile of DND books and Steve’s transforming. Everyone freaks, unsure what to do as they watch Steve’s body shift into that of a large werewolf. For a moment there is only silence as they watch the large beast pant, amber eyes darting around nervously before a low, pathetic whine echoes from Steve’s chest.

((Werewolf Steve AU! So Steve is coherent as a werewolf but he is more inclined to be more honest with his feelings. Like usually he would say Dustin annoys him, but as a wolf he can’t help but show how happy he really is that Dustin likes him. Around the kids he ends up acting big dumb puppy because he is really happy and doesn’t feel bothered to hide it. Which endears everyone even more to him honestly.

Of course that doesn’t mean Steve is not really embarrassed by this after, when he’s more aware of himself as a human.

Bones is my favorite character from Star Trek so I had to do a tea for him!  It’s kinda bitter and super peachy and cinnamony, I found it really fun to drink. :)  I also haven’t tried it with bourbon yet, lol.  Maybe sometime!

Lt. Arex was created for two reasons: first, to provide more alien members of the Enterprise crew, especially those that would have been impossible or prohibitively expensive to attempt in the live-action show; and second, as a replacement for Pavel Chekhov (Walter Koenig).

Due to the budget for the animated series, Filmation Studios was oiginally only go to hire William Shatner (Capt. Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock), DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy), James Doohan (Scotty), and Majel Barrett (Nurse Chapel) to provide the voices for their characters.  Additionally, Doohan was going to voice Mr. Sulu and Barrett was going to voice Lt. Uhura.

Leonard Nimoy refused to play Spock unless George Takei and Nichelle Nichols were hired to play their roles as Sulu and Uhura.  Nimoy pointed out how the two minority actors in the cast were the ones who had been cut.  Filmation realized its mistake and immediately made amends by hiring Takei and Nichols. Unfortunately, this stretched the budget even further, and Filmation was unable to hire Walter Koenig to return as Chekov.  Thus, Lt. Arex was created.

(Filmation also created a replacement communications officer, Lt. M’Ress, who was a cat-like Caitian.  M’Ress ended up manning the communications console when Uhura was off duty or on leave.)

Walter Koenig was given the opportunity to write an episode of the show, The Infinite Vulcan.  He was the first Star Trek actor to ever do so.

With the tragic death of actor Anton Yelchin, the Kelvin timeline Star Trek movies lost their Pavel Chekhov.  The producers have said repeatedly that, in honor of Yelchin, they would not recast the Chekhov role.

A fourth Kelvin timeline Star Trek movie has recently been officially announced.  It is my fervent hope that the filmmakers will have Lt. Arex assuming the duties of the Enterprise’s navigator.  Make-up techniques, prosthetics, and yes even CGI, have advanced enough that having a live action Arex is no longer the challenge it would have been.

The announced new film has NOT been confirmed to be Kelvin timeline. We currently know nothing for certain about it’s setting or plot. It’s been hinted at that perhaps it will be, but nothing is certain at the moment. 🙂
