So you described Luke at birth as "a small, frail boy" and I'm so curious now. Did he hatch the same age he appears in your art? Was he younger? How far in the future is the art if so, or is there some early-life rapid aging happening? How ambulatory and aware was Luke at birth (like are we talking ungulate-levels of ability to walk and understand whats going on or closer to normal human baby)? Did he hatch looking human or like a baby Big Chill? I have so many alien baby biology questions.
So when Luke hatched he was about the size and age of a one year old human child, but he was very malnourished and skinny and had trouble walking. His wings also were unable to develop properly too, so he couldn't fly for the first few years of his life either.
Thankfully Leon locked in and made sure that Luke got the nutrition and care he needed and the little guy was able to make a full recovery. ((Luis was a lifesaver for Leon at this point, considering his knowledge of bugs allowed him to cobble up an appropriate diet for Luke and make sure he was recovering properly.))
Also for the the first three years of Luke's life, he does experience rapid aging and he also learns at a rapid pace. Yet when he starts to look seven years old, his aging and learning curve slow down to that of a regular human. (So while Luke looks like he's seven years old, he's technically only 3 years old.)
For the last part of the question, Luke hatches as a baby BigChill and is stuck like that for about one year. When he turns two though, he is is able to shift into a human form and gets better at it with age and practice.
((While Leon is VERY happy that Luke is alive and thriving, he also feels REALLY guilty about what happened to the rest of the eggs. He knows his drinking and stress affected the clutch, and while he could use the excuse that he had NO IDEA what was happening at the time, he still feels horrible about it.))
Do the Plumbers still exist and, if they do, could they help out Leon and friends with all this alien stuff? Or is the RE crew basically going to have wing it all on their own?
Will Azmuth make an appearance? Or, any other Ben 10 characters?
And finally: could we see more Luke Kennedy? (he's so cute, I love him, Big Chill is honestly one of my favorites because of how cool he is (pun not intended... maybe))
Leon10 AU
So in this AU the BSAA actually ends up being like the beta version of the Plumbers in this AU, considering both its founders end up being aliens.
So yeah, the group has to figure things out on their own!
As for Azmuth, he does show up at one point. I think maybe when Vilgax tries to attack Leon for the Omnitrix? Like after Leon defeats Vilgax, Azmuth shows up and offers to take away Vilgax and imprison him for his crimes (Seeing as Earth has no way of keeping Vilgax properly contained), while giving Leon his blessing to keep the Omnitirx?
Still haven't decided if any other characters from Ben 10 show up, like Albedo, but so far in this AU aliens are a rarity, and not something that show up every day of the week like in Ben 10.
Got pulled away from working on chapter 6/7/8 of plague of carapace to write something for @polarspaz's other Bloodborne Leon... specifically him returning to his world because unlike standard Beasty he doesn't have the privilege of looking human.
(Also I wrote this, about 1K words, in 1 hour. What the heck. Muse where is this sheer motivation and energy when it comes to my other stuff.)

“Anything?”
“Nothing. There’s no sign of him.” Chris scowls at Jill’s response, worry twisting in his guts. It’s been two days since Leon vanished, his comm going dead mid-sentence, his tracker blinking out of existence. They’ve scoured the facility top to bottom, but there’s no sign of him, he’s not even among the dead.
Perhaps more unsettling is there’s a clear divide where Leon had stepped off the map. Past a certain point, the piles of dismembered undead corpses and pools of blood courtesy of Leon and his vicious strikes stop. From thereon, the infected still stagger about. They know Leon was here, they can see he was here, but there’s not even a whisper of his presence.
Chris, Jill and Claire have cleared the remaining infected, have scoured every inch of this blasted facility, looked for any sign of where Leon could have gone or who could have taken him. But there’s nothing.
Chris exhales sharply. “Regroup in the main hall.”
His BSAA co-founder and sister send back acknowledgement and the comm clicks off. Chris twists his head to look at the blood splattered walls, grip tightening on his assault rifle. Objectively, he knows Leon has to be somewhere—that he must have been hit with an EMP or a jammer, that either Leon stumbled into some deeper complex here or that someone took him. But the silence eats at his nerves.
Jill and Claire are at the rendezvous when Chris arrives, quietly conversing. When Sherry had told them that Leon went dark, and that the DSO couldn’t act officially, not yet, Chris had already been grabbing his rifle and calling his squad. Jill and Claire followed the minute they heard. (The other Raccoon City survivors hadn’t quite forgiven Leon for heading back to face the city alone and without their help.)
Chris opens his mouth to speak, but before he can, something gurgles to his left.
He whirls, their weapons all trained on the sound. But instead of an infected, as Chris was expecting, the blood soaked floor is bubbling. Blood that, just a moment prior, had been days old dried rusty stains, not the vibrant deep red that is frothing. And then, to compound the confusion, something claws its way out of the blood puddle a mere few inches deep.
The thing hauling itself from the blood is vaguely humanoid, but it definitely isn’t human. Even from a distance Chris can see long, writhing tendrils wrapped around the body, which heaves itself out as if from a pool, instead of inch deep blood on concrete.
“What the hell…?” Jill mutters, and Chris feels much the same.
They keep their weapons trained but don’t shoot, not yet, as the thing finally falls against the floor. And… proceeds to just lie there, apparently exhausted from having defied physics.
Carefully, Chris advances forward, the aim of his muzzle never wavering. The BOW doesn’t so much as stir. Now that he’s closer, he can see it’s dressed in clothes, but… nothing modern. They’re oddly archaic, a large coat pooling on the floor that does nothing to hide the tentacles wrapped around the creature’s neck and coming out of its sleeve. It’s covered in blood (not surprising considering it just crawled out of the stuff) but as Chris watches the blood seeps off its body, receding back into the floor almost as if alive. As the red retreats, the BOW is left looking bleached, hair and tentacles a milky white.
It still hasn’t moved.
Chris nudges it with his boot and when he receives no reaction, uses his foot to fully push the BOW onto its back. When he does, his blood runs cold. While the BOW’s hair is still flopped over its face, it isn’t covered entirely, exposing a jawline and face that is familiar, if deathly deathly pale.
“…Leon?” Chris breathes, fear clutching his heart in vice. The BOW twitches, head tilting slightly in Chris’ direction, though the eyes stay sealed shut.
“… ’rissss…?”
The sound, his name, is barely a word at all. It’s layered with an odd echo, an echo that rattles Chris’ teeth and squeezes his eyeballs in their sockets, despite the voice behind it being barely audible. There’s a tingle along his spine, a twisting in his chest, a lingering sense of something otherworldly that makes his bones ache.
While years of protocol say otherwise, Chris kneels down beside his husband, fingers brushing the hair away from Leon’s face. Leon barely stirs as Chris pushes the hair back, hair that feels the same despite looking as though it's been bleached to hell and back. And… fuck, it is him. There is odd ribbing along one side of his face, like that of a fungus, and thin tendrils stretching from his brow. When Chris brushes a hand along his jaw, he can still feel stubble, unchanged from when he last saw the man.
“Leon?” Claire’s voice cracks around his name, and Leon—because God, it’s him, it’s him—hums, face tilting once again toward Claire. The soft hum resonants in Chris’ bones, a hiss that makes the ground quake.
“…’airrr…eeee…”
The voice is that of a soothing melody, that of rippling waves and the wails of the damned.
“Leon…” Chris says, his breath catching in his throat. He thumbs the ridges now sprouting from Leon’s jaw, soft beneath his hand. The vine-like tendrils around Leon’s neck lie limp, and there isn’t even a flicker of movement beneath his eyelids. “Can…can you open your eyes?”
He doesn’t know why he asks. But it’s important, it feels important.
And somehow, Leon hears the call. His eyelids peel back, revealing sockets that are nothing but abyssal emptiness. An emptiness that, as Chris watches, slowly begins to stud with pinpricks of light, until it's like looking into the heart of a galaxy. Leon’s head lolls sideways into Chris’ hand, one of his thin tendrils idly curling around Chris’ fingers.
“… sssssafe… sorrrrrry…”
Chris’ fingers curl around the filaments, his hand pressing into Leon’s unnaturally pale skin, which tingles beneath his touch like it's been dosed with an electric current. Chris’ eyes trail down Leon’s body, from the thick tentacles wrapped around Leon’s neck to the strange clothes he’s dressed in, which only seem stranger the more Chris looks.
“Leon… what happened to you?”
It’s a question Chris doesn’t think he’ll be answering soon.
Okay just need to spew a few more facts about this AU and then it's on to other stuff! Plus I wanted to show what he looked like shirtless and where his tentacles come from.

The main reason why Leon mutated into this form instead of a Beast in this version of the AU is because of two reasons. One being that this Leon had to complete the DLC (defeat Ludwig, Lady Maria, and the Orphan of Kos) which means he has WAY more insight than BeastLeon. The second reason is that he carved the Milkweed rune onto his body.
((I like to think the runes work by either tattooing or carving the runes into the skin, instead of just being imprinted onto the mind like the game says.))
As to why Leon took such a drastic measure, well, he was kinda going a tad loopy after fighting and dying from the Orphan of Kos so much. The voiceless whispers he kept hearing promised him that if he did this, it would help him win the fight and...well, it did, but just not in the way he wanted, since as soon as he carved the rune into his skin he mutated immediately .

Just wanted to draw more of KosLeon cause I REALLY like his design for some reason. So here he is, hanging out with Chris!
((I think KosLeon would crave physical contact a lot more now considering it helps keep him grounded and stops his thoughts from straying too far, so it's not unusual to see him leaning against his friends like a tired toddler. Claire and Sherry will even hold his hand and lead him around the house while they do chores and stuff as he HATES being alone now too.))
((While at home Leon will move like he's constantly exhausted and bit drunk, but in combat he's completely different. He's unnervingly quick and nearly impossible to hit with his seemingly boneless body.))

Leon10 AU
I changed Jill to to be a Chimera Sui Generis (alien like Vilgax) and I think I'll have Krauser be an Osmosian instead?
-Chris and Claire only find out they were are part alien after being around Leon and the Omnitrix for a few years. Getting exposed to the watch's energy awakened their Anodite DNA, allowing them to slowly gain magic like abilities and eventually the ability to fully transform. Claire is a fast flyer and can volley a bunch of energy blasts, while Chris likes to channel his energy into giving him super strength.
-Luis was born an alien and given a 'magic' ring by his grandfather to hide his alien form. Luis was told to NEVER take the ring off no matter what, but unfortunately Luis broke that rule once when he was a child. He took the ring off in front of a villager, who freaked out and tried to kill him as soon as his form changed.
Luis was able to get away, but getting attacked was extremely traumatic for him and he repressed the knowledge of his alien form and NEVER took the ring off again, so he thinks he's still 100% human.
-Jill becomes an alien after being experimented on by Wesker in RE5, who seems to have acquired some VERY interesting DNA. Later on she'll get a ring like Luis to help hide her alien form.
OOoooooooo! I ADORE the ink work here! The texturing, especially on the shell, is SO GOOD! I also Love the angles and unnerving closeups! THIS IS AWESOME! VERY GOOD BODY HORROR!
There were a bunch of asks wondering if Leon gets any BigChill kids in this AU, and he does, but it's a bit bittersweet.
BigChill's reproduction cycle gets triggered at a really bad time for Leon in this AU. I'm not sure exactly when, but it happens between RE6 and Vendetta. Leon's going through A LOT of stress and it effects the health of the clutch and nearly ALL of the eggs fail, except for one.
This one egg is hatches a small, frail boy, who stubbornly clings to Leon as soon as he crawls out. Despite having no IDEA on what the hell is going on, Leon easily accepts his new child and tries his damn best to make sure the kid experiences a good life.
((Luke got his namesake from Star Wars. Leon, Chris and the others spent the whole night just hashing out names, and this is the one they could all agree on. Claire though at one point nearly throttled Leon when he started suggesting crazy names just to get a rise out of her.
Leon: "How about a strong name, like Agamemnon?
Claire: "Leon I swear to god-! ( ಠ∩ರ) ))
((Between his older sisters, Sherry and Ashley, and the rest of the RE crew, this kid gets spoiled ROTTEN and is absolutely ADORED. Luke likes hanging out with his family more than kids his own age, so he's naturally more mature than most. He's also VERY protective of his sisters, despite still being a small peanut.))
((Luke can shift between human form and alien form at will. But if he gets nervous, is in danger, or is startled, he will transform back into his alien form.))
((Leon and Luke have a VERY close bond, and while this is obviously a good thing, it does tend to stress Luke out a bunch when Leon leaves for missions. He worries A LOT about his dad and fears he may not come back home one day.))

9.Upgrade (last fight with Brikin on train/team up with Claire/BIG GUN)
10.XLR8 (They escape Raccoon and Leon carries them FAR AWAY, thus saving them from Army capture)
((Leon and co don't get captured by the military after Racoon City in this AU, instead Leon joins the BSAA with Chris and Jill after the events of Code Veronica. Leon also tags along with Claire to look for Chris while Marvin takes care of Sherry for them.))

Leon glanced down at his wrist again, staring at the strange ‘watch’ that had quite literally jumped onto his wrist(He was glad he was alone, the scream alone was embarrassing enough, and his frantic attempts to remove the device).
“What's with the watch?” Claire asked, and sparing a glance over at her showed that her head was tilted, gazing at the blue watch. “I’ve never seen anything like it before.”
“You got me there. I don’t even know what it does!” Leon admitted, raising that hand from the wheel briefly to give it a shake before settling it back.
“HUH.” Leon could hear the strange apprehension in her voice, as well as her confusion. "Where'd you get it?”
“You would not believe me if I told you.” Leon winced, still remembering his own apprehension when approaching the crashed meteor(at least that's what he thought it was at first, till it opened up).
“Try me.” Leon groaned, head thumping back into the head rest before looking at the watch again.
“It… came from space?” Even saying it out loud made it sound even crazier, and he could feel Claire staring at him. “I wish I was kidding, I was driving to the gas station where we just met, and this… Meteor hits the road! I go check it out-”
“Like an idiot.” Leon shoots his passenger a glare before continuing;
“And in the crater is this… pod? I don’t know how to describe it, all I know is that it opened up, and this,” Leon again holds up his wrist, the watch glinting in the low light; “jumps at me! And it doesn’t come off!”
“Did you try a knife-” Claire starts before he shoots her an exasperated look, hand going limp. Leon didn’t expect it to slam into the wheel. He didn’t expect to slam into the wheel, face up. It beeped, and Leon and Claire were now staring at it. It beeped again. Leon felt his heart race as fear spiked through him.
“What’d you do?” Claire asked, voice hushed and her eyes wide(he could assume they were, he knew that his where). Again, it emitted another beep.
“It hit the wheel.” Beep.
“Why is it beeping?” Beep.
“I don’t know.” Beep.
“Make it stop.” Beep.
“I don’t know how!” BEEP.
“Pull over!” Claire's shrill screech was enough for Leon to slam on the brakes, unbuckle himself and throw open the car door, scrambling towards the woods with his wrist in front of him. The watch was beeping more rapidly. The word ‘shit’ seemed to be a favorite at the moment. Leon’s foot hit something, a rock or a dead branch, whatever it was it made him stumble and crash into the cold damp ground.
Bright light.
And suddenly everything feels wrong. Like someone had taken something, and left him nothing but fluid. Leon blinked, hard. He also took note that wet no longer felt wet? Which was weird to think about, it was raining! Of course there was wetness! Just… he couldn’t feel it?
“Leon?!” Claire's voice was an octave higher than her normal tone(not as high in the ‘stolen’ sheriffs vehicle), “Are you ok!?”
“Yeah! Just-” Leon stopped feeling his eye- Wait. Why could he only feel one eye?! Why was his voice so watery, no wrong word, viscous maybe? Either way, Leon felt wrong, everything was wrong. Claire’s silence seemed to mimic his sentiment. Slowly, Leon rose to his feet, and shuddered at how wrong and wet it sounded when he moved. He looked down at his hands and once again felt a spike of fear go through his body. His hands!? What was wrong with his hands?! Why were they GREEN?! Green and gooey looking, no longer did he have five digits, instead three thick ones greeted his vision. Watery sounds of distress bubbled out, and he realized that his mouth wasn’t opening. Panic surged, and without thinking Leon brought the not-his-hand up to his face-
WRONG.
There was nothing there.
WRONG.
His face was the same gooey material that now made up his-not-hands, and probing upwards proved to his horror that he did only have one ‘eye’, which went wide.
WRONG.
So were his arms, his legs, his chest. Leon whipped around to look at Claire, and saw her jolt in horror.
WRONG!!!
Leon let loose a gut wrenching scream, Claire mimicking him.
HAHAHAH! YES! This is EXACTLY how I imagined the scene playing out between Claire and Leon in the car!
Leon being reluctant to admit the watch might be from space, Claire panicking when it starts beeping, and the ending where both of them just start screaming are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
And Leon experiencing the weirdness of the transformation were a neat touch

I forgot to mention this in the last poll/post, but I WILL DO the Werewolf, Pokemon, and Parasite Eve AUs eventually too, so fret not!

Okay, so on his way to the gas station, Leon notices that something has crashed into the road ahead on him and quickly pulls over. Curious, he gets out to investigate and finds a white orb nestled inside the small crater that's carved itself into the pavement. Of course as soon as he approaches it, it opens, and the Omnitrix flies out it and attaches itself to his wrist.
Panicked, Leon tries to get it off, even tries using a knife and screwdriver he's got stashed away inside his car to try and pry it off, but it's useless. Seeing as there's nothing more he can do besides chopping off his arm, he leaves the watch alone and continues on his way to the Gas station like he planned. There he meets Claire, and the two make their way into the city as usual, but halfway there the watch starts beeping.
Leon pulls over, worried the thing's gonna exploded, only to find himself engulfed in a bright blue light before his body is suddenly transforming. His whole body changes into a vivid green color before liquefying completely, and now he's no longer human but a weird, goopy, slime monster.
Both him and Claire start screaming immediately.
Claire thinks Leon's dying, while Leon has ZERO idea what's happening to him at all, and they both spend a good five minutes just freaking out before they finally settle down and talk. Being stubborn, Leon still wants to help and asks if he can still continue on with Claire, to which she readily agrees and together they delve back into the heart of Raccoon City.
((As the night goes on, Leon keeps transforming into random aliens for long periods of time. (This is because the watch is trying to sync with his DNA.) It's not until after he transforms into all 10 aliens (the last fight with Birkin) does Leon gain control/usage of the Omnitrix))
((When they first arrive at the station, Leon is still stuck as the alien Goop, but it actually turns out to be a boon when they find out his slime can rapidly heal wounds, something they uses to save Marvin's life.))

Blooborneleon Au Au
So in this AU of an AU, Leon comes back from Yarhnam looking like this and cannot transform back into human again. He also has trouble speaking and is basically relearning how to talk again, and because of this he tends to keep quiet. (He's not dumb, his brain is just addled with too much new stimulation/information.)
-He doesn't crave infected blood in this AU either, but instead craves infected brain fluid. Mutated people with advanced infections like Wesker and Alexia would be VERY appealing to Leon. He extracts the brain fluid by either piecing the skull with his tongue, or by slithering it into his prey's ear to access the brain easier.
-99% of the time Leon's eyes are closed. He can still "see" and moves around just fine, and the only time he will open his eyes are when he's asked too.
-The galaxy/stars only appear in Leon's eyes when he's channeling a spell or when he's feeling very happy/content.
-Leon is inhumanly flexible now and can even rotate his head 180 degrees with no problem. Chris is actually convinced Leon has no bones anymore, considering the way he's seen him move.
-Besides brain fluid, Leon cannot eat meat or solids anymore, and can only drink soups or liquids.
