Social media algorithms are interesting in that they can tell when people are talking about Jews. Unfortunately, they also see blogging about being Jewish and UNHINGED GENOCIDAL ANTISEMITISM as the same topic so if you even slightly mention you are Jewish in a post, suddenly the algorithms will unleash a nuclear apocalypse of the entire world's antisemitic opinions on you. X is probably the worst offender of this.

it never fails to amaze me how my otherwise intelligent kind empathetic educated curious friends and colleagues will say they're not educated enough to speak on all kinds of topics like union/labor movement history or environmental regulations or constitutional law or the cuban missile crisis or whatever the fuck and then you say one thing about Israel and suddenly they have a phd from jewsstolepalestine dot com that they expect you to take seriously and get mad at you when you ask them what they think happened during the second intifada

A very disturbing number of people on here are like "Yeah, I support Jews! I just refuse to learn anything about Jewish history or culture even when it's extremely relevant to the conversation, I misuse Jewish terminology in the same way people who very openly wanted (or still want) to kill all Jews misused it, and I take everything about supporting or showing sympathy for Jews in bad faith!
