I'm not one for personal posts here, but today is the 3rd anniversary of the worst day I have ever experienced. Today marks 3 years since the death of Chester Bennington. I really don't know how to word this, and I'm already crying, so I'm just going to type for a while. I can't believe it's been 3 years. I don't want to believe it's been 3 years. Sometimes I try really hard to forget he's gone, then I remember and get crushed. I'm never going to forget the feeling of hearing the news. I'm never going to forget the emotions from telling my dad. My dad is the one who introduced me to Linkin Park. He was and remains a huge fan. He's why I was raised on their music. I'm going to forever be sad that Chester isn't here anymore. His legacy will live on forever and continue to inspire so many people, myself included. Some of LP's music is still hard for me to listen to. It will be for a long time. The song One More Light is still impossible for me to listen to. It has been 3 years since I last listened to it all the way through. Now it is too hard and I sob upon hearing it. Chester is someone I have idolized for a long time. I'm so grateful to have experienced life at the same time as him. I'm so grateful for the music he made, the funny interviews, and how he treated his fans. I really miss you, Chester. I hope the pain has stopped. I hope you finally feel peace. I could say so much more, but I can't right now. Hold your loved ones close, and always Make Chester Proud.
