It’s also irritating that I spent a YEAR excited for him, the lore etc and not only did they give him a thing I wanted for CALEB, not only does he feel basically like a Caleb clone in looks and teaser… but the fandom went from going “no there’s no 6th shut up don’t even talk about him” FOR A YEAR to “OMG HES HOT IM ONBOARD” in 30 seconds. Another streamer mentioned it, it does feel a little gaslighty because the people who switched up are refusing to acknowledge they ever hated him

And like I’m sorry all it takes is a forehead and massive muscles? After a YEAR of people treating 6th believers shitty? This fandom is so gd shallow sometimes and as an ace/demi it can be really isolating (luckily it seems other aces feel the same)

But like. L/arah was reacting and irritated as me and so many of the YouTube comments BRAND NEW VIEWERS were spamming about how “OMG this community is so toxic I can’t be here why are you hating”. BEING UPSET/IRRITATED WITH THE COMPANY AND HOW THEY DID THIS DROP/CONFUSED ISNT HATING. Not immediately vibing with a character or even honestly disliking them isn’t being toxic! Being toxic is policing other people’s reactions

In addition to all this… werewolf CEO? REALLY? CEO was gonna be interesting because of his connection to EVER and Caleb but now it just feels like a wattpad trope. And listen I’ve been playing for two years—I trust the writers and devs! (Not I/nfold, the actual devs of the game) Sylus felt like this too. All the guys are stereotypical romance tropes that get subverted and turned on their heads. I have no doubt this guy is gonna be submissive and interesting af. but that STILL gets too close to everything they built with Caleb

the CEO thing was already on thin ice because its such a turn off for me, like at BEST its just boring, and people are already making Christian Grey references which...ugh. but everyone going gaga cause "HES RICH" first of all we all fucking said "him being EVER CEO wont stop yall" and got treated like shit for a YEAR about it so thats annoying but also...WDYM, theyre ALL rich!? also rich ceo doesnt at all fit with the (supposed) myth they showed us??

And something in me kinda feels like maybe they tweaked him or added him because of the controversy over Caleb. People CANNOT move past the yandere/drugging/control thing from MS after a year and a half. So like…give the “puppy boy” aggressive but SAFE (even though I’m thinking he’s gonna be even darker than Caleb) and suddenly the fandom adores him because they would adore Caleb if they let themselves

I was excited for his character design and they gave me pretty much the opposite of what I wanted. I was excited for his tropes/theme and unless my theory of him being a chimera/experiment/huli jing is right, I’m bored by him rn.

And it’s upsetting BECAUSE everyone else is so excited. My worst nightmare for ANY drop is me being excited and then being disappointed while everyone screams around me. The switching up and gaslit feeling doesn’t help anything either. I can’t help but feel a little protective of Caleb too even though I swore getting jealous about the LIs is dumb but that’s where my brain is at.

I’ll probably change the second we get more of him. I hope. But it’s disappointing to me that he hits basically the same way Zayne hits me—generally my type in otome but his looks and personally feel so meh to me it’s almost a turn off. After a year of being excited, it’s an awful feeling—I saved and created a whole 2nd account for him

No I don’t think he’s keeping the ears and tail and idk why everyone’s fixated on “he has four ears!!” Have yall never fuckin seen furrys or like… this is not an uncommon design. You’re playing a game with a MERMAN AND A DRAGON and it’s the ears on the werewolf that bother you (even though it’s pretty clear it’s something to do with his evol or that he was human beforehand…) I do think we’re getting a TRUE enemies to lovers with him, maybe a flat out dark/evil route for MC. I wish his hair was brighter and longer. I’ve been wanting 707, not Derek-Hale-Caleb-Abby. if I let myself, I can be excited for a couple seconds and like "lemme just lean into it and have fun" but then I almost immediately get bummed/frustrated/angry about the rest of it. trying to force it just makes it worse so. just riding the emotion out and ignoring the fandom
