quick tips for cc making π§
just a bunch of tips about textures (maybe someone will find them helpful).
note: i use photoshop so i'm gonna use it here too. i don't know how it's going in others programs
π§ use normal map for extra shadows and highlights while recoloring ea textures
just export normal map in png and add it to you texture/psd
play around with blend modes in photoshop
it even can add some "alpha vibe" to your recolors
π§ some textures are misbehaving? try to use a bit of noise and maybe it can help
really quick edit, no hq β¬οΈ
π§ your cool blush/eyeshadows/anything getting glitchy/pixelated on overlay skin, especially near eyebrows? change the number in the composition method section to 1, 2 or 4 and it'll get better!
keep in mind it doesn't work for non-overlay skins!
non-overlay skins always require compositon method - 0
so i recommend to create two versions of the texture if you use both overlay and non-overlay skins

π§ how to do overlay skin details?
export, for example, your favorite overlay skin and work with it as a reference
maybe export more swatches of it to make sure it looks okay and won't be too dark or light in the game
always keep the color of your cc textures in gray (except tattoo, maybe you want to add some colors to them)
compositon method here is always - 3
for some reason compositon method 3 doesn't work with color sliders
and don't forget about sort layer!
it would be really helpful to export the uv and keep it in your psd file
don't be greedy and keep extra space outside uv borders
exporting uv β¬οΈ (join meshes if needed -> edit mode -> press A -> uv sync selection -> uv -> export uv layout)
