Just another card in the greater game.

I find a lot of people when writing fanfics about Maria (and I’m guilty of this too, no hate) don’t realize that Maria has military training and how that impacts her. Military training makes people more disagreeable! So yes, while she is a kind person, she is stubborn as hell. I don’t think she’d often lash out in anger, but she starts arguments. She can come across as over harsh or critical, and I think people (myself included) write her a bit too understanding in the moment especially in BlackHill fics. She’s quite intelligent, so I think she’d understand in retrospect, but in the moment I think she’d be harsher than she’s often written.
