In the CN version though, he said:

乖，你该睡觉了。

Which translates to something like:

Be good, it’s time for you to get some sleep.

乖 (guāi) just feels a little more intimate to me because it’s a term that older people / older siblings often use to try and compliment or coax the younger ones 🥺

In this context, maybe he could also be meaning something like “be a good girl” or “be good for me”.

Just a quick one this week as I wasn’t going to be on social media but just wanted to check in with everyone!

So this week we spent planning out the year for social media things, and I also read through the whole of Book Four’s plan again to refresh myself with where I’m at and where I’m going :D

As I said, I want to finish Book Four this year even with it being more, but I know I can do it!

In order to do that though, I’m planning to get a lot of social media content done this month for the year ahead, meaning that’ll open up the rest of the year so I can almost solely focus on Book Four. I’m really hoping that getting as much of that completed as I can will help with just being able to slam ahead on the writing instead of stopping and starting.

So it’ll a bit of a different routine than past years, but hopefully will make a ton of difference! And I’ve already got some scenarios finished which I am loving, including one that fits nicely between Book Three and Four that I couldn’t stop thinking about over Christmas break, hehe! :D

The demo update will also be happening—looking at getting the early access on Patreon up the end of next week, with public access late the week after.

i was reading an if, and there were loooots of malapropisms (words that sound similar but have different meanings), and at first i thought, "oh this is maybe a kid or an English learner" but after a while I was like "there are way too many malapropisms here to be written by a human...like even a child wouldn't make some of these"

and the writing was weirdly repetitive in a way that doesn't seem like a style choice, repeating things that aren't key phrases or need particular emphasis

but i could just have too high standards for human writers and it's an actual human writer?

and they said it's highly likely it's AI, but i should probably still keep it to myself because there's always a chance it's just a really bad writer

i suspect the author drafted the outline themself, because the plot is really good! it's an interesting premise and the character summaries are genuinely compelling.

but the actual chapter to chapter writing is at best boring and at worst confusing. i think they likely asked the AI to write 3-5 pages on each plot point on their outline, but they didn't do the work of actually reading the chapters to make sure the writing flowed and made sense.

that would also explain the malapropisms and plot inconsistencies (in which something happens in ch 1, but when a character explains what happens, they say something entirely different in ch 4)
