I don't know why I've been thinking about Hunter X Hunter recently cause I haven't even touched it in so long but I do have to say I find it very funny how my thoughts can be boiled down to:
"Man they did Leorio fucking dirty the whole damn time"
Was thinking about Gon in the hospital and like. From a writing standpoint look at it like this. It hadn't shown Leorio for a while. We know he's studying to be a doctor. Why the fuck did we not take the route of "Leorio is reintroduced and has learned some healing nen and at least ATTEMPTS to try and heal Gon". What we got was fucking Leorio runs for president and his campaign runs off of punching Ging in the face which is fucking funny but come on man
Like fuck you. Here's another Killua sibling who is extremely powerful who would have guessed it and she can grant wishes (I do like her character but come on you really expect us to just sit down and accept that essentially Killua saves the day because of his magical sister and not Leorio who's WHOLE CHARACTER ARC IS ABOUT GAINING WEALTH TO HEAL THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD IT???
AND THEN YOU PUT HIM IN A SITUATION WHERE IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH WEALTH HE HAS, BECAUSE ONE OF HIS BEST FRIENDS IS IN SUCH A BAD CONDITION THAT THERE'S LITTLE TO NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO AND AAAAAAAAAA
His whole backstory pushed him to become a doctor. He's put into a situation where another one of his friends is sick but this time he has the means to heal. But he can't. He can't and no one else can and they didn't even give Leorio anything at all fuck you Hunter X Hunter
