Chan's Girl

The smell emitting from inside was heavenly. Your senses were immediately hit with the salivating scent of chocolate, due to Felixs’ baking you figured. There were also notes of many different scents lingering around too. Many mens scents. It almost made you cover your nose. It was so overwhelming here. 

The house was…. nice. Basic but nice. Walking through the door you could tell the place had a lot of potential; open spaces, natural light, beautiful hardwood. Just not a lot of personality. 

We can fix that, a feminine touch may do them some good, the omega inside of you was practically hollering at you. 

Jisung and Felix both still had a grip on your hands, gently leading you through the space. Felix had a massive grin on his face, while Jisung seemed a little more reserved than a moment ago when he hugged you. He was probably feeling a little embarrassed, if the red on his cheeks were any kind of give away. You felt the sudden urge to comfort him and tell him it was okay. That he is too cute to be embarrassed. You didn’t want him to take it negatively, though, so you kept it to yourself. To save yourself from any further embarrassment also. 

“ This is our home!” You could feel the energy radiating off of Felix. He was telling you about every room you walked through. “ This is our living room where we like to watch movies! Ooo here is the dining room, we usually have a big meal here together at least once a week! And here's the kitchen! Minho and I spend a lot of time here! Though usually it's him cooking meals and supervising my baking.” He handed you a brownie. 

A slight confusion washed over your features “ Minho? Is that another member?” You took a small bite. It was heavenly. Easily the best brownie you had ever had.  

“Yes!” Now it was Jisung who was excited, “ He is great, you'll love Min. He, along with Channie hyung, takes such good care of us!” 

At the sound of his name Chan came to rest a hand on your shoulder, “ Min is kind of my second in command. He’s the second oldest right after me. He and Changbin ran into town to prepare for your arrival. Minho wanted to grab groceries to make you a welcome meal and when Changbin heard the word ‘omega’ his alpha side went into overdrive. He went to get more comfort items for you, Omega. Make it a home for you.”  He lowered his voice, “We couldn't let our Baby go without proper nesting materials, huh.” You almost purred at the sound of his voice. There was that name again..Baby. 

Jisung and Felix exchanged knowing smiles. They could practically feel your reaction, they have also been victims of Chans… charms. There was a reason he was head of the pack, after all.

It took you a moment to collect yourself.  Still looking at Chan you took a deep breath, “I want to be a good Omega for you and this pack Alpha.” Now it was the boys turn to melt. “ I don’t know why, but I just know I was meant to be here with you.” 

Chan let out a light growl at your words, the possessive nature in him taking over. Without a word he grabbed you and pulled you into his hard chest, engulfing you in his arms. It’s like you could feel everything he wanted to say in that one hug. You felt so safe. So loved. 

Against your will tears started to well up in your eyes. Then came the sniffles, until it turned into full out sobs against Chan's chest. 

The two betas shared a look of panic. Best leader Chan didn’t even flinch, cooing at you in a low tone and rubbing your back. 

“Sweet little omega. No need for tears, Baby. Your alpha is here to take care of you. I know this is a lot for you right now, especially to go to this from the situation you were in a few hours ago before we found you. You’re safe here with us Baby I promise.” His words only made you cry harder. It was exactly what you needed to hear. 

Wiping your eyes with the sleeve of your shirt and trying to contain your hiccups, you cast your eyes up to meet Chans. “ I’m sorry you had to see me like this,” turning now to face the other two in the kitchen with you, “ I’m not usually this sensitive.” liar 

Felix was the first to speak, “It’s ok, I cry all the time!” Jisung was nodding along “me too honestly.” 

Whether that was true or not it made you feel better nonetheless. Chan pressed a kiss to the back of your head. 

“Come omega, let me show you your room.” He shuffled you out of the kitchen and up a set of stairs. 

“I get my own room?” Did he not want you in his room? 

Sensing your confusion Chan said “ I figured it may be nice for you to have your own space for a little bit while you get used to the house and the pack.” Even though he would much rather have you in his bed and never let you leave. 

“ I guess that makes sense. Thank you for being so accommodating Chan.” Your voice was shy now. 

He led you through the halls passing many bedrooms, giving you a rundown of whose room was whose.The walls on this floor weren't as bare, there were a few paintings lining the walls, with familiar faces staring back at you. Someone had painted the pack, and done a beautiful job. 

 “ Here will be your space, Omega. It’s pretty bare right now, since it's usually saved as a guest room. That will change when Changbin comes back with some things for you.” 

Your bag was already waiting for you on the bed. You walked in and looked around. It was pretty plain, not unlike most of the house. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in. Chan took a seat next to you and once again gripped your chin to face him. 

“Tell me what's on your mind baby. How can alpha fix it?”  

Putting your hand on his that was touching you, you asked what has been on your mind since you got here, “ What are your expectations for me as my alpha? Omegas like me are so rare, I imagine most packs wouldn’t know what to do with someone like me around.” 

Chan kissed his teeth in thought. He knew exactly what he wanted from you. He had been dreaming about it for years. A sweet, submissive omega for him to ruin. One that will beg for him. One to care for his packs needs.  He couldn’t come right out and say that to you though. No, he would have to tread carefully so as to not scare you away. You have already proven yourself to be flighty. 

“What I want from you, my Omega, is devotion. I have waited my whole life to find you, waited my whole life to dedicate myself to you, to love you and take care of you. I only ask that you do the same for me and this pack.” He runs the pad of his thumb over your bottom lip that is pouting in his hold. “As far as the other boys are concerned, to them you are also theirs.” 

You wanted to suck on the finger that was on your lips. “ Does being theirs mean the same thing it does for you?” 

He gives you a light tap on your cheek with a smirk “ I could never deny my boys the joy of having a loving omega to care for, and in return have the omega care for them in all ways. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the new tradition involving omegas in a pack?” 

You shook your head at his question “No Alpha, I’m not.”

Already learning your manners, Chan thought to himself, biting back a smirk. His hand was now cupping your cheek and his nose was nuzzling into your hair. It was so tempting to lay his claim on your neck. A less disciplined alpha may not be able to resist it. 

“What has been working for most packs these days, or at least the few that are lucky enough to have even one omega, is that the pack members are given free use of the omega. Evolution is basically demanding it. It just seems so selfish to keep a precious thing all to oneself, don't you think Omega?” You found yourself nodding almost mindlessly. “ A good alpha shares with his pack.”  

“When you say free use, do you mean…” You couldn’t even get the words out. 

“I mean, if they want a taste of you, then let them have one. Of course you would belong to me mainly, you would receive my bite on your neck and when the time comes, you would have my child first.” 

Holy shit 

This was quickly becoming too much. Too much of an overload for one day. The concept of being shared between 8 men was never something you had ever considered. 

But…

It does ease your mind a bit to know it was okay for you to be attracted to them. The guilt you were beginning to feel now lessened. How touchy the other boys were to you made more sense now.

Not to mention you were a virgin. Of course you knew what sex was and what a knot was, but no other person had ever touched you like that. Before you presented as an omega as a teenager, you had thought about giving yourself to an alpha boy you went to school with. That thought was quickly shut down when you came out as an omega.

Chan could see on your face you were having an internal struggle. He had been raised with this mindset for his pack. It seems as if you had not. Guess you had to be eased into it. Precious thing. 

“Don’t stress yourself about it, baby. You can think it over and we can talk more about it later.” As if on queue he heard the front doors open and Changbins boisterous voice flooded the house.

“Is she here?!”  a low voice responded but you couldn't hear what they said. “Ah fuck I was hoping to set up for her before she got here!” 

Chan laughs out loud at hearing his friend downstairs, releasing his hold on you and pulling away. “ Changbin and Minho are back. I’m sure they are dying to meet you. “ He stands and offers his hand. 

Even though you were still trying to process all of the information, you grabbed his waiting hand and followed him out of your room.

Back in the living room was the most of the pack. If you thought the smell in there was strong before you had no idea what was coming. 

Changbin could smell you from up the road. It was the sweetest thing to ever grace his senses. When he and Minho had walked into the house they could feel the shift in the energy. The air around them felt lighter, more feminine. Changbin dropped the loads of blankets and pillows he brought in onto the couch below him. He had to do 4 trips in order to grab it all. 

Jisung was the one to point it out, “Jeez Bin, are you sure you got enough?” He laughed.

The comment seemed to fly right over Changbin, now his face was twisting into one full of worry. “ Shit do you think I should have gotten more? I’ve never met an omega before. I had no idea how much she would need.” He was clearly starting to stress out. 

Jisung patted Changbin on the back “I’m messing with you bro i’m sure this is fine. She is the sweetest little thing Binnie, you're going to love her.” 

Changbin wasn’t convinced though “No you’re right this isn’t going to be enough! She will need a nest in every room I have to get more.” He grabbed his keys and went to walk out the door, when Jisung lunged at him and was trying to hold him back from leaving again. 

Minho went into the kitchen along with Felix to unload the groceries he had picked up. 

Felix was buzzing. He couldn’t help it. Now that you were here he literally couldn’t contain himself. 

Minho seemed unfazed. The younger boy couldn’t get a read on Minho's thoughts or emotions during this, he just seemed blank. 

“Are you alright Hyung?” Felix inquired while putting the items away in the fridge. 

Minho gave Felix a tight smile and a nod. 

Ok that was weird. Felix thought. Maybe he’s not feeling well. 

The younger boy closed the fridge and shuffled behind Minho while he put things away in the cabinet, and rested his arms around Minho in a hug. His head came to lay on Mins back. “You can tell me if something is bothering you. I am always here for you. If you're sick I can make you some soup to feel better?”

Minho let himself relax into Felix for a second. With a chuckle he patted the younger boy's arm and pulled away. “It’s nothing to worry about YongBok. Just a lot going on today.” 

The truth was, Minho was skeptical of you.  A young woman just shows up on their property and suddenly she’s their leader's mate? He doesn’t quite buy it. He knows that their leader would never bring someone home who was a threat to them in any way, but as the second oldest in the house Minho wished he had some kind of input at all about it. Don’t get him wrong he was happy for Chan but…. he just didn’t trust you. 

Either way he was going to make a special dinner for you, it was still a joyous occasion.

You and Chan came down the stairs to the sight of Jisung latched onto another alphas leg, clinging like a kid, while the alpha was yelling at him to have some class and get off him. Hyunjin was sitting on the sofa, leaning on a pile of pillows and looking at his phone, barely paying attention to the antics of his pack mates. 

Chan was laughing at the scene in front of you, causing a few giggles of your own to escape. You put your sleeve up to your mouth to hide it but it had already caught the boys attention. All three guys were looking at you now as you descended the stairs. 

 You cleared your throat “ Please don't stop on my account.”  You offered a smile. 

Jisung was the first to greet you, still hanging on to the alphas leg, “Hi y/n!” 

That seemed to knock the alpha out of his daze, now leaning down to push Jisung off him with a get off Hannie. 

He straightened himself out before approaching you. Wow, he was handsome. Very muscular. It almost had you salivating. 

“You must be Y/n.” He approached you and grabbed your hand, placing a kiss to the back of it. 

Another Alpha touching you made you nervous, only responding with a “mmhmm”. 

Chan rolled his eyes and gave the other alpha a playful shove “This is Changbin. He’s harmless, just kind of an excited idiot.” Chan jests.

Changbin places a hand on his chest, acting dramatically hurt at his leader's words. “Hyung, how could you!” Eyes back on you now “ I got you a few things” You heard a small few! From below, Changbin gave a light kick to Jisung on the floor. 

It was then that you really noticed how much was actually here now. Piles on piles of pillows and blankets and stuffed animals littered the room. It made butterflies erupt in your stomach that he thought about you like that, wanting to make you comfortable. 

“Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Changbin. I know this couldn’t have been cheap so I really appreciate it.” You had a pleased scent cascading off your body. It made everyone in that room hold back a growl. 

Redness spread upon Changbins cheeks “ It was a drop in the bucket, really. Whatever you need, it's yours.” His alpha was showing hard. 

Now it was your turn to blush, unsure of how to respond. 

Hyunjin was the one to break the silence “ Let me and Bin take some of this to your room, Baby. Come on Bin.” As he was collecting some of the items, Changbin joined him. 

Jisung rose from the floor in a flash. “Wait, I wanna help too!” He raced after the others with an arm full of stuffed animals. 

Chan had a relaxed grin, “ I really can’t catch a break with these guys. Come on Min and Felix are in the kitchen.” 

Felix was seated on the counter when you entered, munching on a brownie. “Hey Baby! Did you see your presents from Binnie?” 

“Yes I did. It was very nice of him to do that for me. You're all making me feel very welcome.” You shyly looked at who you assumed was Minho. He reminded you of a bunny. A hot one. 

“It’s nice to meet you. I’m y/n.” 

He barely turned to acknowledge you, only offering you one weak glance.” Nice to meet you too.” He fully faced Chan now, “ I gotta run and help Seungmin. I guess Jeongin isn't reacting well to our… new guest.” 

You didn't catch the slight eye narrow Chan sent Minho. “ Yeah..” He uttered slowly, “ you go take care of that, Min. Thank you.” 

Minho gave Chan a nod, “ I’ll be back later, to start dinner.” He briefly met your gaze, “ Catch ya later.” And then he left. 

Felix sat motionless during most of that exchange, giving his alpha a bewildered look and mouthing what the fuck was that? 

Chan kissed his teeth. What the fuck was that indeed 

“Is Jeongin ok? Is it because of me?” Your timid voice broke Chan from his thoughts. The worry present on your face. That's a good omega, caring about the pack. 

Chan was purposefully emitting a calming scent to try and reduce your anxiety. Both you and Felix were being pulled under his spell, eyes wanting to close. 

“He’s okay. It's probably because he is still a new alpha who’s never been around an omega before. He only presented about a year ago. He will get used to it soon, I’m sure.”

Jeongin was struggling, badly. In fact the best way to describe what was happening was he was down bad for you.  He had never felt this way before. He didn’t even say a word to you but you’ve been plaguing his every thought.  The young alpha could feel his skin crawling. 

Him and Seungmin had taken care of the car you left behind, the vehicle now safely moved to one of their garages on property. Being in the car, where you spent over a full day inside of, had suddenly caused him to start having this reaction. The intense fragrance of you engulfing his every sense. It was too much.  

Seungmin had tried to calm him down, and talk it out with him but it proved fruitless when the alpha began growling at him. At that point Seungmin knew he wasn't equipped to handle this and called Minho. 

When the elder arrived he could tell by the waves of tang coming from Jeongin, that the younger boy wasn’t in his right mind. Minho crouched down in front of Jeongin, who looked like he was having an internal battle. The beta used both hands to hold Jeongins face. “ Innie, how are you feeling?” 

The alpha's eyes were blown out, his pupils nearly taking over the entire eye. “Hyung, how am I supposed to do this?” He wanted to cry. “ I feel like I’m going crazy. She’s completely taken over my mind.  Is this what it’s going to be like forever?” 

Minho wanted to coo at his pack mate. Instead he pulled him into a tight hug. 

“Just focus on me. She isn’t here right now. I am. It will get easier. It will be difficult for you for a few days, but you are a strong boy. You are an alpha. You’re not gonna let this situation get to you. Channie Hyung chose you to be in this pack. If you couldn’t handle it, he wouldn’t have let you join.” Nevermind the fact that Chan will let you have a go at her once he’s gotten his fill, Minho thought snarkily. 

That seemed to clear up Jeongin a bit. The alpha boy nodded along,

“ Chan wouldn’t have let me. He knows I'm strong. I am strong. I’m not an animal, I can handle it.” 

Seungmin watched this heartwarming moment between his packmates, but he let his mind linger on something Minho had said. He called you a ‘situation’. What the fuck did he mean by that?  He will ask his Hyung later after Jeongin is taken care of.

How their meeting starts: There is no way Krauser hasn't been stalking Luis (and therefor Leon) for at least a little while now. The control and power Krauser felt while following Leon throughout the castle and underground was too good to rush along (he probably drew that out longer than he needed to, he has a line in the island fight scene about how he "loves a good hunt"). It is a huge aspect of tactical/positional superiority (that Krauser repeats later on the island) in a cat-and-mouse game that Leon has NO IDEA he is even participating in yet.

Krauser has this need to prove himself to be better than Leon. He is constantly taunting Leon from the beginning, from the way he wiggles the amber when he shows it off to Leon (no need to do that, at this point Leon has no idea what the amber is, so why reveal something so important?) and both the word choice and the way he says "rats" when referring to Luis in the line "killing a few rats along the way" is 100% meant to aggravate Leon. And then to immediately follow that line with saying killing Luis as "easy work", it is so mocking.

Leon has been fighting for his life, he's been separated from Ashley, lost contact with the government/Hunnigan (and thus all support), and doing his damnest to get the hell out of there before the parasite in him takes control (I don't think Krauser knows that Leon is infected, based on later dialogue). Leon has got to be exhausted both physically and emotionally. This entire mission has been going from bad to worse to absolute hell for hours, and then Krauser comes along and 'takes care of business' so quickly, Leon isn't able to do anything but react way after the fact.

Krauser wants to prove that Leon isn't capable of protecting anyone or completing his mission. Based on their assumed history, Krauser KNOWS how much losing people hurts Leon, which is why the way he kills Luis is so painful. It happens so suddenly, so out of the blue, with a literal knife in the back as Leon and Luis are actively having a conversation. Leon never gets the chance to try and protect him-- Luis is fatally wounded before Leon even knows something is wrong. Krauser wanted Leon to be helpless to do anything in that moment. Leon doesn't even see who did the attacking (or reacts to the danger, his sole concern is Luis when he runs up to his side).

The time it takes Leon to physically respond to Krauser is so slow and speaks to how shocked Leon is. He isn't thinking much about the threat in front of him, he is clearly frantically trying to figure out why the hell Jack Krauser is here of all places-- and is putting together the whole 'Ashley, it was you' conspiracy in the meantime. Leon backs up two tiny steps, but that is all he does as Krauser approaches in a very hostile (but telegraphed) manner with his knife out. Leon doesn't grab for his knife, he doesn't even start to move for his gun like he does in the very beginning of the game in the Hunter's Lodge when startled by the man inside the house.

Krauser was hoping Leon would draw his knife, not his gun, which is why he closes the distance with the knife on Leon's neck with the whole "didn't I teach you?" bit when Leon defaults to reaching for his gun. (In the OG, Leon draws his knife because he senses something is wrong/Krauser is lurking in the room so Krauser doesn't have to prompt Leon there). Krauser is also deliberately showing off his newfound power and speed to Leon. The way Leon then turns into the knife (that isn't actually touching his throat, although it is very close) as he turns his head to look more squarely into Krauser's face is telling. They both know Krauser could have killed Leon right there, but because he didn't (that, combined with the obvious "draw your knife" command), Leon is puzzling out what Krauser wants from him. Leon knows Krauser plays mind games (Leon says as much in the fight on the island). But in this instance, Leon plays along because the insinuation is that Krauser could kill Leon before Leon has a chance to finish drawing his gun. Krauser is all but begging Leon for a knife fight-- and Krauser has set it up so that Leon has to agree. Krauser lets Leon have the time to draw his knife and push off the knife from his neck so that the two of them will start the fight on a more even footing.

Starting Fight Scene: Krauser is holding the knife in what is called an "ice pick grip", which is better for close quarters [here is another clip talking about the benefits of an ice pick grip] (for even closer quarters than if he were holding the knife out in front to extend the reach of the tip of the blade).

But the way Krauser is attacking is deliberately limiting his reach. While this is probably just research oversight/"rule of cool" by Capcom, I am going take it as Krauser wanting to bait Leon into staying in a knife fight (instead of creating space and drawing his gun again, which is the safer option for Leon). Krauser is taller than Leon, which means he already has a longer reach, and then on top of that his knife is longer than Leon's [takes up 4 squares of inventory space while Leon's takes up 3]. If Krauser was fighting in a manner to eliminate the most amount of risk to himself, he would have either A) switched to a different grip so that the blade was extended towards Leon instead of perpendicular to to Krauser's forearm or B) immediately pulled Leon in much closer (which would have been smarter to do against an opponent like Leon, who is smaller and not as strong-- especially since Krauser is quicker/stronger now with Las Plagas-- and Leon wouldn't have the space to do his kicks as easily).

There are multiple points where Krauser could have sliced Leon's neck open (again, we are going to ignore the fact that this is probably just fight scene choreography/safety for the actors) but he doesn't.

Krauser could have extended his arm and touched (and sliced) Leon's neck with his knife but he doesn't, he backs off. Notice how Leon's arm is more extended than Krauser's (in this frame, Leon is still rotating his wrist to flick the knife out) and Leon STILL can barely reach Krauser's neck in the same distance.

[Scenic Fights Demonstration: Logan (left, holding it the way Krauser does) and Chad (right, holding a knife the way Leon does), who are very similar in height and using the same knives, shows the difference in which just the manner of holding a knife can affect how easily they can reach each other. Chad/Leon doesn't have to extend his arm all the way to reach Logan/Krauser's neck, but Logan/Krauser has his arm extended and wrist rotated and he still can't get to Chad/Leon's neck. Now take this, but extrapolate to the height difference between Leon and Krauser (thank you @highball66 for your work in this fandom, iconic), and then add the length difference of their two knives.]

[Another instance of Krauser missing Leon's throat-- and so clearly short of it. Krauser has to know he won't reach it but he does it anyway. The circle in the first frame is showing the tip of Krauser's knife as it passes in front of Leon harmlessly]

My theory is that Krauser is testing Leon, feeling him out. Leon has picked up that this isn't a "real" fight based on the way Krauser is not actually harming him in any of the instances he could have. Thus, Leon also isn't going for any attempts to injure Krauser. (I like this post by @highball66 who mentioned this looks like a drill until it escalates). Krauser is the one who initiated this "fight" but despite that, he isn't actually trying to hurt Leon yet, but settles into a drill. Leon copies him, so Leon doesn't try to harm Krauser at this point, either.

[Krauser looks like he is going for a tap/punch on Leon's shoulder without any attempt to use his knife. It reads like they are doing parrying drills or something where Leon's goal is to keep Krauser from touching him, which is done all the time in fighting training to work on speed and blocking/parrying].

The fight was just this back and forth drill-like exchange until Leon suddenly switches things up.

Leon changes the grip on his knife to an ice pick grip and then closes the distance between them to push forward on the offensive.

Krauser blocks, which results in them both at a standstill for a moment. Not a real one, as neither of them are actually trapped/unable to get out. This is is when Krauser says "not bad" and then shoves Leon off him (I fully believe Krauser is praising Leon for switching tactics on him). As Leon disengaged, he swipes at Krauser's arm. That would have resulted in a nasty cut if Leon was holding his knife with the slicing side in as he should be for that grip. I think Leon was taking his cues from Krauser and has his knife positioned so that the edge that is less suited to slashing is facing inwards. Leon's knife has a sawback, which is literally what it sounds like (those big teeth aren't going to glide and slide into skin, they are designed to saw through tough material). The sawback side is the one that make contact with Krauser's arm (and probably doesn't do any damage because Leon wasn't trying to get those teeth to bite into Krauser's arm) This is when the fight turns more serious. I think Krauser was waiting for Leon to kick things off and break that pattern they had of parrying and feinting slashes at each other's throats. In this section of the fight, two other things happen that also break from the previous pattern they had: their knives collide with more force (more dramatically-- that's just "rule of cool" grinding and sparks) and then Leon actually doesn't attack back after one of Krauser's slashes when before they were exchanging attacks very evenly.

[Krauser attacks but notice Leon isn't blocking him, he isn't in a good position to defend compared to what he was doing earlier. Look at where Leon's knife is in relation to both himself and to Krauser. Krauser completes this fake slash without Leon ever touching him or showing that he is trying to prevent the knife from making contact.]

[Leon still doesn't try to slash at Krauser when Krauser is resetting his stance for another slash, which is when Leon had been trying to attack prior to this point. Leon actually lowers both of his hands closer to his side.
