This really makes me rethink the characters decisions. Usually these women are depicted as stupid, vain, or selfish. But I sympathize with them way more when their options written this way

what the fuck is with english teachers n being like “write a story abt a deep personal memory that impacted your life” maam if i do that youre going to send me to the counselor’s office

imagine if all our jobs actually mattered n were essential cogs of our community instead of so many being fake shitty jobs made to tryn uphold unimportant things2 create profit for rich ppl. imagine how less soul sucking everything wud b if u knew every job we all did mattered and helped th community instead of so often being pointless :/

This reminds me of when young women used to post pics of themselves all dolled up saying something like “this is what feminists look like!”. As if to say “we aren’t all fat ugly hairy dykes! Pretty girls can be feminists too!” Idk. I don’t feel like we have to justify our political actions with: “but don’t worry we’re still hot. hot girls can be into politics too!!!” Women’s looks don’t have to be part of the equation at all.
