These violent delights

I know this has been discussed ad nauseam but the lack of empathy in society these days really makes me sad. How can you look at someone you have never met and never spoken to and actively want them to suffer? How can you easily choose hatred over kindness? I will never understand it. I’m not a morally superior person and I am always working to be better, but I will never be someone who supports or ignores suffering.

I recently joined a Facebook group for women in my city and I love it so much! A lot of my friends don’t live close to me anymore and I missed having girls in my life, and this group is really helping. I’ve joined a true crime discussion club that meets once a month at this beautiful old home. I’ve swapped clothes and furniture with girls and donated the rest so things don’t go to waste. I’ve met girls who wanna get brunch and have tea parties and picnics. I’ve met girls at the complex I’m moving to who will go to the pool with me. I’m just so happy after feeling so lonely. Social media can be so awful sometimes but there’s still some good in it.
