For Star, I'm gonna go with the dhampir rules for 5e, since we still have no available vampire spawn player options(I'M STILL MAD ABOUT THAT BTW). These dictate that you regain energy and are full by eating food, but still need blood in order to survive and stay in control. This is mostly reflected in-game via needing food to long rest and Star still being able to gain benefits from it, as well as his bite bonus/heal being calculated the exact same way. I don't think I've applied that fact in pretty much any of my previous writing for him(because it's angstier this way), so we'll just. Ignore it for this :3.

As for O.cctis, as far as I know, he can still eat, he just has to focus on an organ to make it function, or else it will sit still in his body and nothing will happen. So like. He has to concentrate on digestion basically. That's weird. I mean there are weirder things about him, arguably. But yeah. He can eat food if he wants, but he technically doesn't need to, and it's a voluntary process to digest it. However, it is said that before death, he was a bit of a foodie and had a fondness for cake. :( sniff. So I think I'll write this as a combo of pre-death and post-death, especially bc stitched roses' whole situationship is before his death.

Waffles. He prefers the structure and the fact that they have like. A bit of a crust? Rather than just being big ol things of fluff? I have no idea how to describe it. But yeah. Waffles.

He sees the merits of both, and refuses to participate in the debate. Like. They're separate entities to him. They use the same batter, but they Feel Different, why are we arguing. (He prefers waffles as well)

🍳: If they eat eggs, how do they like their eggs cooked? Over-easy? Sunny-side-up? Poached? Soft or hard boiled?

Over easy probably. No real reasoning, just vibes. Also hard-boiled. He is wrong for this, but he is insistent.

🍲: Can they cook their own breakfast or do they get it from someone else or a pre-made dish?

I think he can cook decently! He usually makes his own food, and it's serviceable, but he prefers to grab it from a cafe or something nearby if he has the budget or is low on time. I think the only downside of his food is that it's underseasoned.

Because he's of a noble house, I'm tempted to say he doesn't cook often, but I do think he prefers to make his own food. I think that before getting out of his family's house, he didn't cook as often, but most of what he knows is what he's learned in the past few years after leaving.

All of his food post-death tends to be a little overcooked or barely seasoned, since I don't think he can taste that much unless he focuses on it, which seems like a bit too much effort than he's willing to put in when he already has to concentrate on every other function. Pre-death, though, he def put a lot of effort into making good food, and he continues to use those techniques when cooking for others post-death.

Molly

Molly seems like a coffee person to me. Very much the type to not function properly until about noon unless they've had some form of caffeine, but tea just doesn't hit that same vibe coffee does for them.

Tea. Look at him. Look at this proper gentleman. He seems like one of those people who is very specific about having a certain blend of tea in the mornings with a set amount of sugar and/or cream. He will drink coffee if he's working on a project all night or something similar, but for breakfast, it feels incomplete to him without tea of some kind.

☕️: If they drink coffee, how elaborate is their coffee order? Do they get the same thing every time or have different orders for different occasions?

Molly

This bitch(affectionate) def has an elaborate coffee order. She wants something sweet for sure, but will settle for a latte on a regular day. Caramel is his go-to for a sweet treat or when going out to a cafe, but always wants to try whatever's new or special when trying a spot out for the first time.

Percy

Remember how I said his tea order is highly specific? His coffee order is just black. Espresso if he's feeling it, but no matter the occasion or where he is, he just wants a black coffee. Lame.

🔥: Do they have any unconventional breakfast preferences, like ketchup on scrambled eggs or peanut butter and bacon?

Not on the daily, but they've definitely tried some wild combinations of food in their life. I do think Molly is a salsa on scrambled eggs kinda guy. I don't know how common that is, but I used to eat it a lot and it's pretty bangin.
