You deserve someone who never stops trying to show you how much you mean to them, even after they have you.

Some people might not have the energy to commit to a relationship the same way you do. Or maybe they’re just not interested in putting any effort, and you can’t keep a relationship going if they don’t really bother with it too. Either way, you can’t make a relationship last if you’re the only one trying, even though you want so bad for them to stay. You don’t have to make yourself smaller to please someone, you can’t pretend you don’t have needs, you can’t keep acting like putting all the effort at all times to maintain a relationship without it ever being reciprocal isn’t exhausting. You don’t have to make your needs disappear just to constantly meet someone else’s, especially someone who doesn’t really care about your well-being.
